Ch 16
"I can't believe we've all been excused from class!" Hermione whispered.
"Cool it, Granger, does it look like Potter is in any condition to be in a classroom environment right now?" Draco pointed out.
Hermione sighed, "So very true. Especially with him draped over Lanna. Right now she's the only thing keeping him kinda glued together."
"I guess," Malfoy hissed venomously.
Hermione felt the jealousy oozing out of Malfoy, "Are you jealous for someone you have only known a day?"
Draco shrugged, "Well, she does appear to be the one that's more attainable."
It took probably a good minute for Hermione to dissect that answer. With a rush of air Hermione got the insinuation, "Oh no...that's not possible? Harry...you...all this time you've been infatuated with him?"
Draco directed his best Malfoy glare at Hermione, "Shut up, Granger."
"All those fights in the hallways...what...were ways to get his attention? Are you serious?"
"Granger."
"Are you gay?"
"You know for the brightest witch of our age...you are being awfully dim-witted."
Hermione wasn't given the chance to respond as Lanna called for their immediate attention. "I'm sorry to interrupt. But Harry's tired, and I was wondering if there was anywhere we could all go."
Hermione nodded, "Well, I've decided to go to class. But Malfoy can probably lead you to the Room of Requirement. It's basically a room that will meet anyone's purpose."
"Thanks, enjoy class."
"It's Potions...but thanks anyways. Harry, I'll take notes for you," and Hermione turned and walked towards potions.
Draco sighed, "The room is on the seventh floor. Let's go."
Just as Hermione promised Draco lead Harry and Lanna to the room with no problems. With hands behind his back and his face set in concentration, Draco began to pace. After about the third time the room appeared, and Draco opened the door and motioned for them to enter.
The theme of the room was black, and blood red. The bed was about a king size with a silver headboard and black silk sheets. "Oh, it's like I'm back at the circus..." Lanna whispered.
Harry hmmmed, "Let's just get to sleep."
As Harry began to crawl onto the bed Draco made a noise, "Potter! What are you doing? You can't possibly think of getting into that bed with your shoes on! Weren't you raised with any manners?"
Harry sadly smiled, "For the first eleven years of my life I lived in the cupboard under the stairs...my first Hogwarts letter was even addressed there."
"You have to be joking! You should have been worshiped, your family treated you like a god. There's no way Dumbledore would let his Golden Boy be abused."
Lanna scoffed, "Of course he would. What better way to have someone under your thumb if they think you saved them? I bet Harry, feels like he owes Dumbledore for something."
Harry sharply looked up at her, "You think he put me there knowing...?"
Walking over to Harry, Lanna sighed, "It makes sense, doesn't it?"
Harry licked his lips, "Maybe we're being over critical here."
Lanna shrugged, "If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck then it's probably a duck, Harry."
With a small quiver Harry leaned into Lanna, "Please hold me."
Lanna motioned Draco over, "I'll do even better, Draco will hold you too."
Harry sighed as the extra pair of arms circled his waist, and he was guided into bed.
Eeak! Puppy pile!
