A/N: So, we come to the end of our little tale. It has been a fun journey and I appreciate every reader and review. So sad to have this end...Thanks again for sharing this with me! I know this is a short ending, for that I apologize. My muse went on vacation and I didn\'t want to keep anyone waiting. I hope it is enough to have a bit of closure. Thanks again.
Ch. 16 Epilogue
“Autumn, darling, time for breakfast.” Hermione called up to her 5 year old daughter. She smiled as the strawberry blonde curls bounded down the stairs. Oh what a mess that had been when the child was discovered to have red hair.
It took lots of looking through muggle photo albums to show that Hermione’s mother had naturally red hair and simply colored it brown all the time. Hermione chuckled at the memory.
She placed the plate of scrambled eggs and sausage in front of the little girl. “Dad’s coming with Ishaan.” She told her mother. Hermione ruffled the girl’s hair and went to poor her some juice.
She soon heard the sound of Draco coming down the stairs, tiny feet padding behind him. She felt her breath hitch as Draco came up behind her, kissed her cheek, and gently rubbed her slightly swollen stomach.
Much had changed for them in the past five years. Hermione was still a foreign diplomat, but took lighter responsibilities so that she could stay home more with her soon to be 3 children.
After Autumn turned a year old, Hermione and Draco had decided to adopt a child. They stumbled upon little Ishaan on a visit to the magical part of India, and fell in love immediately.
Ishaan had gingerbread skin, shiny ebony hair, and the most beautiful smile in the world, and he also loved to irritate his older sister as he was demonstrating currently at the table.
Draco finished his studies and was currently teaching advanced potions at the Wizard University there in England, which suited the family well as he took summer holidays off.
They were expecting baby boy Malfoy in a few short months. Ishaan was thrilled to be getting a brother where as Autumn was less than excited.
Draco looked around the kitchen at his family. He couldn’t stop the smile that spread across his face.
They led a simple life, nothing grand or aristocratic. They lived in a small wizard village in a comfortable two story cottage that was equipped with the latest in muggle and wizard technologies.
Sure, they had their fights and down moments, but all in all both Draco and Hermione Malfoy felt very grateful to have been brought together those years ago…life was good and looked to get even better.
