Chapter 15: A Sirius Conversation

Hi everyone! Shiny-chan is back! I’m sorry it’s taking me so long to update, but this week was hectic! I not only had the

swimming test for my life guard training, but the whole week I was in this training, I had swimmer’s ear. I was constantly in

and out of the water so I feel like a prune. But oh well enough about me.

Bats: Please cheer me up with a wonderful review again. I seriously want to see the kind of ridiculous things you would use to

get me writing again, but hopefully you won’t need to anytime soon.

Thrnbrooke: Thanks for reviewing again!

Tina109: I’m glad to hear from you again! I like it when you review, so please review more!

On with the story

Chapter 15: With Rainbow popsicles on top

Sirius led Kurama back upstairs to the DADA classroom, and shut the door behind them. Kurama sat on top of one of the desks and

waited for Sirius to begin. The man was obviously agitated by the way he was walking, almost pacing.

“You’ll wear a hole in the floor you know.” Sirius turned around and glared at the amused kitsune.

“I have to talk to you.”

“So you said.” Sirius scowled at him.

“This is no laughing matter! What the hell is a demon doing so close to my godson? You’re doing to get in his good graces and

turn him over to You-Know-Who aren’t you?” Kurama laughed, the sound growing louder and louder until it reverberated around the

room, echoing off the rafters. As he sobered, the infuriated look on Sirius’ face almost sent him into another gale of laughter.

“You are here as Touya’s assistant, are you not? How is it that you know nothing about demons?”

“I know plenty demon, now answer my question!” Kurama chuckled lightly.

“I take it that Touya hasn’t explained to you the purpose of our presence here? Did you know that Touya himself is a demon?”

Sirius’ face widened in shock.

“No he didn’t and to think I trusted a demon!”

“Mr. Black, you must stop letting your prejudices take over your actions. There are currently four demons in this school and I

assure you that our reasons are purely innocent. However, if you continue to mistrust us, you may show up at the room of

requirement after dinner on Saturday. Until then, I must go to dinner. Tata Mr. Black.” Kurama rose from the desk top and

opened the classroom door.

“You might also consider having a little faith in your godson too.” He walked out shutting the door behind him and leaving a

furious marauder behind. Kurama shook his head. Really, what had Black wanted to gain by speaking to him like that? It really

was a good thing that Kurama wasn’t a bad demon or he might have just ripped his head off. Oh well, might as well go on and

have some dinner. Kurama entered the great hall and took a seat next to Harry. He began to fill his plate with rice balls and

wasabi, mixing it with some mashed potatoes he found right in front of Harry.

“Oh, Kurama, I didn’t see you there! Why were you late for dinner?” Kurama smiled as he scooped the spiked potatoes on top of

Harry’s pile. He shrugged and placed some chicken fried rice on his own plate before answering.

“Oh, it was nothing really; someone just needed to talk to me for a second. Yusuke, did you talk to Touya yet?” Yusuke paused

in his eating to look at Kurama and smile.

“Yeah foxy I already did that. What did Genkai mean that Harry knew our secret?” Kurama sighed and put his fork down.

“He does know our secret. I told him last night.” Yusuke shrugged.

“I normally would be all ‘what the hell were you thinking!’ but knowing you, you had a plan. So I really don’t care. “ Harry

ate some of the chicken on his plate before turning back to Kurama.

“What’s the training going to be like?” Harry took a bite of his mashed potatoes while waiting for Kurama to answer.

“Well I won’t kid you; it’s going to be tough. We’ll have . . .” suddenly Harry began coughing and choking and reaching for

anything he could get to cool his mouth. For some reason, the mashed potatoes were flaming hot, burning his mouth to a cinder.

He finally grabbed Yusuke’s glass of milk and chugged it down before feeling any relief. Harry glared down at the mashed

potatoes.

“What the hell is in those sodding potatoes?!” Kurama looked innocent but Harry was having none of it.

“Hey now, I’m used to the Weasley twins pranking me but they’re not here. What did you put in my mash, Kurama?” Kurama sighed.

“Oh, nothing much, just a little wasabi to kick up the flavor of the potatoes.” Harry smirked.

“Just you wait, Kurama. You’ll get yours I Promise!” They looked each other in the eyes and started laughing. Harry took a

spoonful of the green wasabi on the table and smeared it in Kurama’s food.

“There! Now eat it!” Kurama shrugged and took a bite, chewed carefully and swallowed, before smiling benignly at Harry. Harry’s

jaw dropped as the spicy sauce seemingly had no effect on the kitsune. Unbeknownst to Harry, Kurama had dropped a spice

neutralizer on his plate before taking a bite. Harry sulked, trying to think up some other method of revenge, unaware of the

red hot glare Yusuke aimed at him. Yusuke was jealous, despite all the warnings everyone had given him, he was still painfully

jealous of everyone who took Kurama’s attention away from him. He couldn’t watch them laugh any more so he stalked angrily out

of the great hall. Kurama watched him go before gently reaching to push Harry’s jaw back up where it was supposed to go. He

too stood up and looked at Harry.

“I’m sorry Harry; I have to find out what’s wrong with Yusuke. I’ll talk to you later?” Harry nodded and Kurama almost ran out

of the Great Hall, following Yusuke’s energy trail to the astronomy tower, where he found him straddling the rail and looking

out at the sunset. He walked up behind Yusuke and touched him lightly on the shoulder.

“Why are you here, Kurama? Weren’t you having fun with Harry?” He said, keeping his face turned away from Kurama’s.

“Yes, but I noticed that you seemed sad again. Do you need to talk?”

“Talk about what Kurama! The fact that I get mad every time you’re having fun with someone else? Every time you make more

friends? How about that I wanna kill every single fan girl that belongs to those frilly pink letters you got this morning? No I

don’t wanna talk!”
