You Have No Idea What This Means To Me
Gizelle sat on her bed trying to comprehend what Lucius had said to her last night. If Voldemort had an heir, why wait so long to name him? And why now? Gizelle's head was beginning to hurt. She lay back on her pillow and let her thoughts wander. Draco at 8. Harry at 12. She had to think of an excuse to give Draco when she left. She knew Harry couldn't come to her room. She couldn't risk Draco seeing him. Although all Gizelle wanted to do was sleep she slid off her bed and grabbed her wand off the nightstand on her way out. She hurried through the common room so as not to run into Draco. That was the last thing she needed right now.
The evening air was warm. The slight breeze rustled her black sundress against her legs. She slipped it on once she returned to her room from breakfast. Gizelle moved down the almost empty corridors quickly, searching for Harry. As she neared the courtyard she heard Ron and Hermione talking under a tree. She knew Harry couldn't be to far away. She saw him sitting on a bench when she rounded the corner.
"Harry!" She whispered. "I can't see you tonight, can I talk to you now?"
Harry looked at her inquisitively. For a minute she thought he was going to say no but he nodded, stood up and walked beside her. They hurried through the corridors trying to avoid as many people as possible.
"Gizelle where are we going to go? There are people all over the grounds."
"The old infirmary. No one goes to that part of the castle anymore."
Gizelle was right. Since the attack on the school by Voldemort and the Deatheaters that part of the castle had been abandoned. Too many bad memories. They climbed the winding staircase and ran towards the massive doors at the end of the hallway. Gizelle could see they had been padlocked.
"Gizelle, I haven't got my wand. Have yours handy?" Harry asked.
Gizelle giggled.
"Well Mr. Potter I am surprised. Of all people I would expect you to have your wand with you at all times." Gizelle laughed again as she lifted up her dress and grabbed her wand from the waistband of her black lace thong.
"No pockets."
Harry laughed but he quickly shoved his hand inside his jean pocket.
"Alohamora." Gizelle whispered and flicked her wand. The lock clicked and fell away. Harry pushed the door open and they both slid inside. There was a fine layer of dust that covered everything. They had left a couple of beds. The sunset flooded thorough the massive windows giving it a warm hazy glow.
"Alright Gizelle, what do you have to tell me?"
"Well Harry.....Voldemort left an heir."
Gizelle didn't know any other way to word it. Harry stood still for a moment then turned and sat on a bed. Gizelle watched him for a moment, not entirely sure what to do. Harry had fought so hard against Voldemort and lost so many people along the way. He thought it was over. For years it had been. But now it was like it was all starting over again. Gizelle felt pity for Harry. For as young as he was, he had such a burden to bare.
Gizelle walked over to the bed and sat down next to Harry.
"I'm sorry Harry. I didn't find anything out about Sirius. I doubt Lucius will tell me anything because he knows I used to intern for him at the Ministry. Lucius invited me to the next Deatheater meeting. Hopefully that will give me more to tell you."
Gizelle looked down at her watch. 7:45. She stood up and started walking towards the door.
"Listen Harry, I have to go meet Draco. Maybe I can get some more information out of him. He seems to be more willing to give it away then his father."
Harry stood up and walked towards her. He was close enough that she could smell his scent. He put his hands on her arms and looked into her emerald eyes.
"Thank you so much Gizelle. You have no idea what this means to me."
He kissed her softly on the cheek and slid his hands down her arms as he walked away from her. Gizelle waited until she heard the door close. She breathed heavily. He heart pounded in her chest. She looked down at her watch again. 7:55. Muttering a string of curses under her breath she ran out into the hall as a river of wetness snaked down her leg.
