Welcome Home
Lucius stared down at the mornings Daily Profit in disgust. He was absolutely furious! Draco had outmaneuvered him. “Damn that kid!” Lucius stormed feeling his blood boil below his skin. His plan’s success depended on nobody knowing that Draco and Harry were soul bound. The soul bond connection was so revered and honored that it would be hard to manipulate this situation to his benefit. Now thanks to his idiot of a son the entire Wizarding world knew.

Lucius threw the paper down in disgust. Thank god the majority of the death eaters had been rounded up and sent to Azkaban. Imagine the son of Lucius Malfoy married to Harry Potter. If his lord were still alive he would be livid! Lucius shivered at the thought of the cruciatus curse that he knew Lord Voldemort would send his way. He absently reached his hand between his legs and cupped his hand where his testacles should have been. He missed being able to fondle them, and the feeling of a witch’s wet mouth wrapped around them. He remembered what it was like to have his cock sucked as his balls were licked. Now, he couldn’t even sustain a hard on.
He would have given anything to be able to produce another pure blood heir, but thanks to the curse that Lord Voldemort inflicted on him for punishment for an incomplete job, he never would be able to sire another child. Now the Malfoy name rested with Draco. At least they had the good sense to use the Malfoy name on their son. Lucius knew that his ancestors would be screaming at him from their portraits when they heard that the Malfoy pureblood line would end with Draco. His son had brought nothing but dishonor to his respected family name. Perhaps his grandson could be trained to be better.
Suddenly Lucius smiled and rubbed his hands together. He didn’t even need Draco any longer. If Draco and his filthy husband were out of the way, he could obtain guardianship, as the only living relative, of his grandchildren. He didn’t really want the girl, but as Narcissa pointed out, she was a medium and perhaps he could use that to his benefit. The boy was young; he could be trained to serve the dark arts. Perhaps he would be a better student than his father was. He felt no real attachment to Draco. He was his mother’s son, and at the best of times he had just felt indifference. The boy had disappointed him to many times. If he didn’t need to carry on the family name so badly he would have disposed of him years ago. Now, thanks to his grandson, he didn’t need his pathetic son.
“Soon, little Sirius, I will have you, and the first thing that I will do is change your name. I will not have my grandson named after a filthy blood traitor and the murderer of my Lord!”
Hermione grinned as she read the Daily Profit. “When you guys do something, you sure go all the way, don’t you?”
Draco smiled. “I am a Malfoy, and Malfoy’s never do things half way!”
Harry laughed. “Actually, my dear husband, you are a Potter-Malfoy now.”
“Even more reason now not to go off half cocked. Since when does Harry Potter do anything half way?”
Hermione laughed at Harry’s frown. “Harry you know that you have always jumped in with both feet and thought of the consequences later.”
“You are not helping here, Hermione,” he groaned.
“Oh like I didn’t already know that about you, Harry!” Draco said with a smirk.
“Well boys, I hate to eat and run, but I have a date!” she said with a small giggle.
“What, a date? The wedding is at five!” Harry exclaimed.
“Wow, Granger, you work fast!” Draco smirked.
“I am taking him to the wedding with me as my escort.”
“Well who is it? Do I know him?” Harry demanded.
“Actually, you do. It’s Neville Longbottom.”
Both men stared at Hermione for a moment and then laughed. “You and Neville?” Harry gasped through his laughter.
“Neville Longbottom, the witless wonder?” Draco snorted. “Even you could do better than that!” Both men were hysterical with their laughter.
“Oh you two!” Hermione stormed. She stared at them for a moment, stomped her foot, and then apparated away with a pop.
“Daddy, why is Aunt Mione mad at you?” Sirius asked with concern.
“Because I laughed at her.”
“But Daddy, you said it wasn’t nice to laugh at people.”
Draco tried to stop the laughter. He sucked in a deep breath and then started coughing. “Some people just deserve to be laughed at, Siri!”
“That’s not what Daddy says!” he huffed.
“Honey, sometimes you laugh at someone when they take themselves to seriously. Aunt Hermione was being silly,” Harry told him.
“Grandma Lilly said you should be ashamed of yourself. Neville Longbottom is your friend!” Lilly said.
Both Harry and Draco immediately sobered up. “Tell your grandma that she is right, and I am sorry.”
“She hears you when you talk, Daddy!” Lilly said looking at her father like he was insane for not knowing that.
“Draco we really need a book!”
“Definitely!” he said kissing first Lilly and Sirius and then he pulled Harry into his arms. “I must go now, lover. If I am not there by two o’clock, Severus will kill me!”
Harry felt a wave of contentment wash over him. “We shall meet you there at five then. I love you, Draco,” Harry whispered against his husband’s soft lips.
“And I love you, Harry.”
“Oooh! Are you guys gonna start kissing again?” Sirius asked.
“Oh Siri, you’ll do it someday.”
“Nope, I’m going to marry a witch. I like their boobs!” he piped.
Both men stared at their son with mouths wide open.
An hour later Harry sat on the couch reading a Muggle fairy tale to the children. He looked up to see an owl tapping on the window. He saw a red envelope attached to its leg and scowled. Who would be sending him a howler?
He stood and opened the window and the bird held at its leg. “Do you want a treat?” he asked. The owl looked at him like he was crazy and quickly flew back out the window. “Yeah, I wouldn’t want to stick around either.”
A few seconds later he heard, “Harry James Potter! How dare you get married, disappear, have two children, and then return without telling me! You are like a son to me and you have broken my heart! Do you know how many hours I have cried wondering where you have been? I expect you to present yourself and your family to me within the hour or you will be sorry!” Harry smiled. He would know that voice anywhere. Molly Weasley had been like a mother to him and he had planned on contacting her last night after they had given their interview, but time had gotten away from him.
“Would you guys like to go and meet your Grandma Weasley?”
“Geeze daddy, how many grandma’s do we have?” Sirius asked. He had gone from having none to three all in the course of a couple of days.
Harry laughed. “Several it would seem. Ok, hold on tight to me and we will apparate.”
“What’s a’parit?” Lilly asked.
“You’ll see, my love!” he said pulling both children tight against his side. He relished having his wand back and being able to perform magical spells and charms. He hadn’t realized how much he had truly missed it.
Ginny Weasley sat on the front steps of her family home. She had tried for hours yesterday to find Harry, but had no luck. She had planned this morning to try to track him down and then she had read the paper. She felt her heart break in two at the article that Rita Skeeter had written. She knew that as she read the words on the paper that her dreams disappeared with each word. There was no way to compete with a soul bond. If it had just been another witch or wizard she might have fought for him, but she would never try to interfere or destroy something as sacred as a soul bond. She wished that she had known years ago and hadn’t spent her time waiting for the time when Harry would return.
She had had several wizards ask her out over the years, and she had even gone out with one or two, but she could never let herself feel anything for them. She had loved Harry Potter from the time she was ten years old and saw him at the train station trying to figure out how to get onto platform 9 and ¾. Her love grew deeper when he saved her from the basilisk and Tom Riddle during her first year. When she watched him fall in love with Cho Chang she thought that her heart would shrivel up and die, but thankfully their relationship was short lived. She watched him with other girls that never lasted and she had thought he was waiting for her. When he dated her during his sixth year, she thought that all of her dreams had come true.
Shortly after he had ended things with her. He had told her it was because he didn’t want Voldemort to target her for being his girlfriend, and as much as she tried to convince him otherwise, he wouldn’t budge. She prayed the war would end quickly and it did. She waited for him to approach her again, but he never did. Then he disappeared. She had assumed that he needed time to find himself after the war. He had spent his entire life trying to be what everyone else needed him to be, that he was lost. She knew what that feeling was like so she patiently waited. Now, she knew it was all in vain. Harry would never love her the way she wanted him to, and he would never be hers.
Ginny tried not to cry as she watched her childhood dreams disappear. She heard an apparation pop and looked up in surprise. Wiping a tear from her face, she put on a bright smile. “Harry!” she cried wrapping him into a warm hug. “Welcome home!”
