Chapter Sixteen.
She pulled the collar of her long coat tightly round her neck trying to protect herself from the chilly autumn air. It had had seemed like an age since she had been out on a Saturday night and she was eager to see her friends and tell them about this new man in her life. The majority of Cat’s friends were muggles and had no inkling of her other side, there was no way she could have brought him with her, as much as she would have liked to. She really did want to show him off, the girls would be green with envy when they saw him. She imagined their reaction as she introduced the dark, mysterious older man.
“this is severus, as well as looking just like Alan Rickman he’s damn good in the sack.” of course she wouldn’t really say that but part of her would dearly love to, just to see the expression on their faces. She quickened her pace slightly as she rounded the corner and walked towards the queue outside the club.
The differences in her appearance weren’t immediately obvious, but he began to pick up on them as he followed her. There was more confidence in her steps and she walked taller and held herself differently, the long coat swirling gracefully round her legs as almost strode along the streets. Her head was held high and flashes of bright purple fibres were visible in her long ponytail as it was blown by the October breeze. Her makeup was more precise than usual, again she wore the heavy black eyeliner but it seemed more perfect than usual and her lips were painted a deep purple colour to compliment the colours in her hair. She had definitely put some effort into the way she looked tonight which made Severus wonder why. He hung back slightly as he watched her join the line of people in front of what looked like an old warehouse. So this were she was headed, a club of some sorts.
“Hello stranger” the doorman greeted Cat warmly as she approached him. “Haven’t seen you for a while. Where’ve you been hiding?”
“New job” she smiled apologetically “been to busy to come out and play”
“Have fun” he said as she walked inside.
Checking her coat in the cloakroom she made her way to the bar before trying to find her friends, the music was pounding out of the sound system and she realised how much she had missed the place.
Outside Severus was having problems getting in.
“Look mate, if you aren’t a member you can’t come in. Understood” the heavyset man at the door stated impatiently. Fine then he would have to find another way. He scanned the outside for another entrance but there was only one visible. He cast a disillusionment charm on himself and crept silently past the bouncers and into the building, not letting the charm down until he was well inside. The noise assaulted his eardrums instantly, some kind of heavy pounding music was playing and for a brief moment he was disorientated. He scoured the large crowds of people for any sign of anything familiar, she was in here somewhere. Almost everybody here was dressed in the type of clothes he had seen earlier as he’d followed Cat round the shops, thankfully his all black attire blended in perfectly. He spotted the young witch talking animatedly to two other girls near to what seemed to be the dance floor.
“Muggle, friends” he thought to himself “that’s why she didn’t want me to come with her. Shit, I’ve been an idiot”
He moved to a different vantage point to appreciate the view better. The outfit she was wearing was unlike any he had seen her in before, and he had to admit he liked it. Her waist was pinched in by a tightly laced up corset, breasts threatening to spill over the top of the black rubber that contained them and a floor length skirt of the same material stretched over her curvy hips. The split in the left hand side of it showed off her tattoo nicely as well as a pair of shiny, black knee high boots equipped with very dangerous looking heels. Perhaps he could persuade her to wear that outfit for him sometime?
He was lost in his own lecherous thoughts as the music changed suddenly. This new song had an almost primal, simple beat to it. Cat’s eyes widened and she thrust her drink into her friends hand as she raced on to the dance floor.
“I guess she likes this one” he thought with quiet amusement. He watched transfixed as she let the beat take control of her body, wizard dances were very formal and rehearsed but this was unlike anything he had seen before. A gravely male voice had started singing over the beat; it was the most overtly sexual thing he had ever heard. What was this music?
Help me; you broke apart my insides,
Help me; I’ve got no soul to sell...
Help me: The only thing that works for me,
Help me get away from myself…
His eyes widened in shock at the next line, surely they couldn’t say that! He watched as she mouthed the words quietly, her eyes closed, when a well built young man with short blond hair approached her. Anger swelled up inside Severus as the man grabbed Cat from behind, wrapping his arms tightly round her waist. The surprise on her face soon turned to an ecstatic smile as she threw her arms around the stranger’s neck and planted a quick but firm kiss on his lips. The two of them smiled into each others eyes as they continued to dance grinding up against each other, flirting openly. So he was right all along, there was a reason to be suspicious. He was seething with rage as the blond man ogled her cleavage and said something in her ear; she threw her head back and laughed batting him on the arm the intimacy between the two of them glaringly obvious. He had seen enough, turning on his heels he stormed out of the club, no woman made a fool of Severus Snape.
