Chapter 16: First match.

Chapter 16: First match.

Sarah walked down to the common room. It was the day of her first Quidditch match as a Slytherin here at Hogwarts. It was a match against Hufflepuff. Sarah was told that they were the easiest team to beat and she found that as a relief.
Sarah had spent most of her time with Carmen but she also spent some time with Ron, Harry and Hermione. Sarah tired to be as nice to Ron as she possibly could. She knew that she hurt him when she went back to Draco. But Sarah wanted to be with Draco. She was in love with him. Hermione had no problem with it. She was actually really glad, actually she was very pushy about it and Sarah found that to be odd.
“You can change him.” Hermione would say. “You’ll make him a better person. You’ll help everyone.”
Sarah found what Hermione would say to be a bit scary. Sarah didn’t know what she was getting at. It was as though everything depended on her and Draco to be together in Hermione’s mind. Ron would always fight with Hermione after she wouay tay things about Sarah and Draco being together.

Sarah walked down into the common room early in the morning to get some breakfast into her so she was energetic enough for the match. She walked through the common room and saw Draco sitting at a table looking deathly pale. He had been deathly pale for a long time and Sarah was getting worried about him. No matter what he did to her she would always care for him, but not forgive him.
Sarah felt as though she should go over to him and have a chat, but she couldn’t. She didn’t have the heat to talk to him. She knew if she did she wouldn’t be able to leave him, everything about him captured her, his looks, his voice, his smile.
Sarah just sighed and walked out of the common room. She walked through the hallways. Heading towards the great hall. She walked into the hall and saw the girls sitting at the table. She walked over to them and sat down.
“Hi.” Anna smiled. “You excited about the match?”
“Of course.” Sarah nodded with a smile.
“Good.”
“Matthew said you’re really good.” Carmen said.
“Hmm, yeah. Matthew say’s anything with tits is really good.” Sarah spat.
“Oh, did he try to make a move on you?” Laura asked.
“You may say that.”
“What about Ron?” Amy asked.
“What about him?”
“Does he know?”
“No,” Sarah shook her head. “I didn’t do anything with Matthew.”
“Oh ok.” Amy continued eating. Sarah looked down at her breakfast and began to eat the fruit. Not wanting to eat the fatty stuff.

It was nearly time for the Quidditch match and Sarah was getting a little nervous as the time passed. Draco hadn’t turned up to breakfast. Sarah paced her bathroom wondering what was wrong with him. She was worrying. She couldn’t help it.
Sarah stopped pacing and changed into her Quidditch uniform. She tied up her hair, grabbed her broomstick and walked down to the common room. No one from the team was there. Sarah walked over to the couches and sat down.
About 15 minutes later the boys finally came down. She looked at Matthew and saw his huge smirk. Sarah closed her eyes and turned away from him. She didn’t know what to do. He was her stalker, and as he said she’d never be alone. Sarah turned to Draco and saw how bad he looked. He didn’t look up as he walked and he was as pale as white bread. He had worried Sarah deeply and she didn’t have a clue how
“Come on.” Matthew looked away from Sarah and led the team out of the common room. Sarah sighed and followed the boys. She hated Matthew with a passion and thought of ways to get him back for the things that he was doing to her. She couldn’t take it and she wouldn’t. Some how she would stop him. They all walked towards the Slytherin locker rooms. Matthew made everyone sit down on the benches so he could talk to them. “Now you all know your positions?” The team mumbled and nodded. “Good.” Matthew turned to Draco. “Malfoy!” Draco shot up. “Don’t you let those Huff’s near the snitch.”
“I won’t.” Draco sighed.
“Good now get out there.” Matthew headed out to the pitch. Sarah was about to follow when she saw Snape standing by the entrance looking at her. Sarah stood up and walked over to him letting the boys go the opposite way.
“Hi.” Sarah smiled.
“Play good out there.”
“I will.”
“Good. And don’t go and get hurt.” Snape lost his gruffness.
“Ok.” Sarah laughed. “Look at you Severus Snape.”
“What?”
“You are acting differently.”
“No I am not!” Snape burst out in anger.
“Sure.” Sarah looked around making sure that no one was around and grabbed Snape’s head and kissed him. Snape stood there not giving her anything in return. Sarah pulled away and laughed.
“Why on earth did you do that? We could have been seen!” Snape sneered.
“I wanted to play dangerous. Anyway there isn’t anyone around.” Sarah stepped away from him as she heard the Hufflepuff team being called on to the pitch.
“You never know!”
“Well I do.” Sarah grinned. “I best be off. I’ll see you in the stands.” Sarah ran over to the boys just as Matthew was about to fly on the pitch.
“AND NOW THE SLYTHERIN TEAM!” The commentator announced. Sarah watched as her team hopped on to their broomsticks. Once all the boys had flown on to the pitch Sarah followed. “AND THE NEWEST MEMBER AND THE ONLY GIRL THE SLYTHERIN TEAM, SARAH HARRISON!!” There were large cheers from the Slytherin team. They all got in to position. Sarah looked over to the Hufflepuff team and studied each player. Madam Hooch came on to the pitch with the Quidditch trunk.
“May the best team win!” Madam Hooch opened up the trunk and the balls flew up into the air. Sarah watched as Draco zoomed off. Then the game began.

It had been an hour since the match started. Slytherin was winning by 30 points. So far the match hadn’t been too bad for Sarah. The Hufflepuff’s were not as rough as the Slytherin’s. Sarah looked up above her and saw Draco with his left arm stretched out about to catch the snitch.
Sarah hoped he would catch it so the match was over. She was getting a little tired. Draco strained to catch the snitch. His finger tips were slightly touching the wings. Draco moved a little closer then wrapped his hand around the little gold ball and pulled it towards him.
“MALFOY HAS CAUGHT THE SNITCH!” Announced the commentator. “SLYTHERIN HAS WON THE MATCH!” The Slytherin’s burst out in to cheers. Sarah flew down to the ground and stood with Scott ane. ‘e. ‘
“You did really well Harris.” Scott hit Sarah’s back.
“Yeah, thanks Scott. You did well yourself.” Sarah laughed.
“Good on you Malfoy, Well done.” The team congratulated.
“Thanks.” Draco grinned. That was the first time Sarah had seen Draco show a spec of a smile. Sarah said nothing and began to walk away.
Suddenly there was a loud bang. Sarah felt as though she had just exploded and fell to the floor unable to see or feel nothing. Draco looked around and saw Sarah lying on the ground. This is what he feared, what he dreamed. “SARAH!” Draco dropped his broomstick and ran over to Sarah. “Sarah wake up. Come on wake up.” Draco shook her trying to make her wake up. Sarah did nothing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ron was running towards Sarah after he saw her from the stands.
“Move it Malfoy.” Ron pushed Draco away. “She’s not your girlfriend anymore.”
“Shut it Weasel. She’s not yours either. Did you ever think that you might be her rebound? She doesn’t love you.” Draco spat.
“You git. You’re just jealous.” Ron knew that Draco was right. Ron bent down next to Sarah. “Sarah?” Ron picked up her hand. Snape and Dumbledore came up behind him.
“Move Mr. Weasley.” Snape demanded. Ron moved away from Sarah. Snape bent down and checked for vital signs. “He pulse is shallow.”
“Take her to the infirmary now!” Dumbledore ordered. Snape picked Sarah up in his arms and rushed off into the school. Dumbledore following him. Ron stayed behind.
“Malfoy you are the one that always causes Sarah pain. Its all you. I make her happy, that’s something you can not do.”
“Weasel you do not know what you are on about.”
“You can’t stop hurting people. You’ll never stop. That’s what you do, that’s what your father does. Even if you loved that person like hell and would die for them you would still hurt them. You are bad blood!!” Ron shouted and walked away.
Sarah was placed on to a bed. Madam Pomfrey searched her trying to find out what had happened.
“There are no wounds from what I can see.” Madam Pomfrey told Snape and Dumbledore. “She must have been hit by a curse. I do not know which one, I am sure it is dark. She is still alive so I do not think it is Avada Kadavera. Knowing Sarah’s past it could be. There is nothing I can do for the time being. We must wait.”
“Hmm.” Dumbledore looked down at Sarah. “Are you absolutely sure thatre ire is noting that we can do?”
“Yes.” Madam Pomfrey nodded. “All you can do is bring someone from the ministry down here to examine the curse.”
“I shall do that immediately.” Dumbledore assured. Snape stood there looking down at Sarah and thinking. “Come now Severus. You may help me.”
“Yes sir.” Snape followed Dumbledore out of the infirmary. As they walked the saw Ron walking towards them.
“Ah Mr. Weasley.”
“Hello Sir, ah, may I please see Sarah?” Ron asked.
“You may.” Dumbledore nodded.
“Thank you.” Ron proceeded into the infirmary. He walked over to Sarah’s bed and sat down next to her. “Can you hear me?” Ron asked her. Sarah did nothing in return. “I guess not.” Ron sighed. He picked up her hand and just looked at it.
