In the land of Gods and Monsters
It's Innocence Lost
Malfoy grabbed a pair of trousers off of the floor and quickly put them on as he walked towards the door. The pounding grew louder and louder.
Angry, he flung the door open and stared with some surprised at the equally angry face of his father.
Unsurprisingly, his father greeted him not with an embrace but with a stinging slap to his face. It sent him back a step, and cracked his lip, revealing blood.
‘Stupid, idiotic, insoltent boy!’
Draco wiped his lip and glanced at the blood on hand before laughing, ‘Nice to see you too.’
His father slammed the door shut and stalked toward him, but Draco had the advantage of youth on his side. He easily dodged another slap.
‘You set a boy on fire?!’ His father’s rage only made him laugh harder.
‘So what? You taught me how to kill when I wasn’t even a teenager. I thought I was acting very well.’
‘Do you realize how many strings I had to pull? That fucking cunt of a headmistress informed me she was allowing you to remain—because trust me she wanted to expel you—out of pity for your circumstances. I had to make up dozens of lies in order for her to truly believe that your time under the Dark Lord was responsible for this behavior.’
Draco was finding it hard to keep a straight face.
Lucius grabbed him by the throat, and this time he stopped laughing. He couldn’t breathe.
‘I came here to warn you, son. Dissappoint me again, and will cut you off. Everything you own is mine, and you can spend the rest of your pathetic and insignificant life living in poverty.’
He flung him away, disgusted.
Choking for breath, Draco rubbed his throat, ‘Fine. Fuck off.’
His father raised his hand as if to hit him again but he did not even move to dodge it. Slowly his father lowered his hand, ‘You truly care about nothing.’
His son laughed, ‘You finally get me.’
Lucius narrowed his eyes and immediately turned to leave, ‘No more scandals Draco. I mean my what I say. You might not care now, but when you’re living penniless on the streets, surrounded by hordes of people who would love to avenge their loved ones, maybe you might see things differently.’
And he left the room.
Draco stared at the spot where his irate father once stood.
‘Let them come.’
