A Life Changed

Inside the Gryffindor dorms Harry had finally stopped crying as Hermione and Ron had him on the couch in the common room. Harry's head was in Hermione's lap while Ron held Harry's bare feet. The complete despair of his friend's sobs had torn at Ron so deeply. Harry had been through hell then the one time he was completely happy it was torn away from him in the worst way.

" Did... did he lie to me this whole time? Did he ever love me?" Harry asked no one inparticular.

" He does love you Harry. I know it." Hermonie said petting his hair gently. Harry sniffed biting his lip as he looked at the fire. His heart was completely broken. The man he had opened his heart completely to had just stomped on it. The sound of the portrait opening was heard as Hermione and Ron looked over but Harry just stared at the fire. Suddenly the familiar wedding band dangled in front of his eyes. He looked up to see Ginny standing there holding it.

" Harry, can I talk to you?" she asked as Harry looked at her oddly slowly getting up. Ginny walked up the stairs and allowed Harry into the boy's dorm.

" Harry, what is the matter with you?!" Ginny whirled around on Harry making him gasp blinking.

" What do you.... look Draco doesn't love me!" Harry yelled as Ginny rolled her eyes.

" Harry for God's sake! You're letting Draco be seduced by Voldemort!" Ginny yelled as Harry blinked and looked at her oddly.

" Wait, what are you talking about?" Harry asked as Ginny looked at him.

" I went to your dorms and I saw Draco in the arms of Tom Riddle! That bastard that mind fucked me 5 years ago! The same man who has tried to kill you!" Ginny yelled as Harry shook his head.

" No, the guy that is stealing Draco from me is Makai. He doesn't look like Riddle at all!" Harry said as he thought back to his second year and remembered the smirk Riddle had given him. Then he superimposed Makai's smirking face over him and gasped. They were identical! The realization must have been correct as Ginny nodded. "But then why does he look different to me... and Dumbledore you would think that he... wait..." Harry said as Ginny caught his train of thought.

" He knew that Dumbledore and you would recognize him... but not me. He forgot I knew what he looked like as a teen!" Ginny exclaimed as Harry hugged her tight.

" Oh God you're brilliant Ginny!" Harry said as he looked down at her.

" He must have put a curse on Draco to make him fall for him! Thats the only reason I know that Draco would stop loving you." Ginny said as Harry looked at her slightly.

" What do you mean?" Harry asked Ginny smiled.

" Draco has been in love with you for a long time. In my second year I caught him in the third floor bathroom getting off and crying out your name. He made me swear not to tell you. I must say the way he is normally, I like that much better. That is why I told you to go to him so willingly." Ginny replied as Harry's eyes were like saucers looking at her.

" So he... he really does love me?" Harry asked as Ginny nodded. Harry smiled and hugged Ginny tight. Suddenly a thought accured to him. Why would Voldemort want to tear him and Draco apart?

" Harry, your trembling what's wrong?" Ginny asked letting him go.

" Why would Voldemort want me and Draco apart? Narcissa.... she is free as a bird...." Harry tried to figure out what was the reasoning as Ginny let out a cry grabbing Harry's hand dragging him out fast. Once in the dorms Ginny yelled to her brother.

" Ron, everyone grab your wands and follow us!" Ginny yelled as she ran toward the door that joined the two rooms. She waved her wand with an unlocking spell but instead of it opening, she collided with it Harry hitting right behind. "Ow damn!" Ginny said as both her and Harry bounded back up the stairs just as Ron and Hermione joined by Luna were at the doorway. "Door's locked." Ginny said as Harry took the lead. The 5 of them ran as fast as they could to the opening of the dorms. The portrait was already jarred open as Harry stopped and looked inside. The place was in shambles. The furniture was turned over the books on the shelf were on the floor. Suddenly the sound of movement other than his own drew Harry to look over just in time to dodge a disarming charm. The 5 of them split up as Death Eaters began hurling spell after spell to keep Harry at bay. Harry hid behind the over turned table with Ginny next to him. " Harry I'll take care of the one by the door. You get up to your room now." Ginny said as Harry nodded. Ginny held out the wedding band to Harry. Harry smiled and slipped it back onto its normal place. Quickly Ginny jumped up sending several charms as Harry ran fast towards the stairs. He ran up the stairs and bursted into the room just to see Narcissa grab Draco around his throat putting a wand to his throat. Draco whimpered as Harry pointed his wand at Narcissa.

" Harry!" Draco cried out as Harry glared at Narcissa who smirked.

" See you Potter," she grinned disappearing with a pop.

" Draco!" Harry yelled as Makai, knowing Harry knew it was Voldemort, leaned against the wall growling. Harry turned his head looking at Voldemort growling dangerously. He knew that one of them was not going to get out of this room alive. And Harry was going to make sure that he was the one who lived. Slowly Voldemort stood up the glamour slowly shimmering off showing his teen self, that same smirk implanted on his face.

" So how did you find me out?" Voldemort asked as Harry smirked.

" You forgot one person who remembers your ugly mug," Harry grinned making Voldemort glared.

" Who?" Voldemort asked as Ginny quickly ran up into the room glaring at him.

" Hi Volde." Ginny grinned as Voldemort growled.

"Damn! I should have killed you in your first year, you little blood traitor." Voldemort hissed as Ginny smirked.

" Such a careless mistake. To forget someone who lived with you in their head for a year Voldemort.... bad move." Harry taunted as Voldemort glared murderously at the boy who had skirted death so many times. Quickly Voldemort whipped out his wand.

" Avada Kadavra!" Voldemort hissed making Harry shove Ginny over to the closet moving over to the bed. He knelt there as Harry went to fire a spell but Voldemort sent the spell again making him duck back down. Ginny looked at Harry as she waved her wand fast.

" Rictusempra!" she cried out as Voldemort easily dodged it.

" Diffindo!" Voldemort hissed sending it at Ginny as she tried to move away but the spell hit her in the back sending her into the master bath.

" Ginny!" Harry yelled as he peaked out to see Voldemort smirk.

" Now it's just you and me Potter." Voldemort hissed as Harry growled. This was over. With that thought Harry sprung out waving his wand. The hatred and the pain of the last 17 years came rushing through Harry.

" Avada Kadavra!" Harry yelled the spell hitting its mark sending Voldemort into the wall with a sickening crack. The Dark Lord slid down to the ground his red eyes now hollow the end of life. Harry panted hard as he looked down at the body of the former Dark Lord. Then he turned and ran to the bathroom and knelt by Ginny. "Ginny! Ginny are you all right?" Harry shook her gently then lifting her up slightly. A soft groan came from her lips as she slowly opened her eyes.

" Harry? Is he...?" Ginny whimpered as Harry nodded gently holding her tight.

" He's gone now," Harry whispered as Ginny gripped his arm.

" Harry... I can't feel my legs." Ginny said as Harry looked down at her then rested his hand on her shin.

" Can you feel this?" Harry asked as a panicked look appeared on Ginny's face.

" No I can't!" Ginny cried as she tried to stand up.

" Diffindo severs things it hits. He may have almost severed your spinal cord." Harry said as he gently picked up Ginny cradling her carrying her slowly down the stairs. There were no living Death Eaters in the common room of the dorms. Ron held Hermione as she was sobbing as Luna was holding her arm which was bleeding.

" Harry! Are you alright?" Ron asked as Hermione turned.

" Yeah. He's gone but Ginny may be paralyzed from the waist down," Harry said as he looked at them. " Come on we have to get to the Hospital Wing. Can you walk Luna?" Harry asked as Luna nodded slowly standing up. Ron gently helped Hermione, who was still sobbing, up and led her to the Hospital Wing. Several students and teachers were in there. Harry found that Death Eaters had swarmed the school shortly after Harry and the others had gone into the dorm. Harry gently set Ginny on the bed and got Pomfry's attention. He explained what happened as Pomfry sighed deeply.

" Her spine may be slightly severed but I will run some tests." Pomfry said as Ginny gasped.

" Harry! What about Draco?!" Ginny said as Harry gasped.

"Thats right! Where would Narcissa take him?" Harry said as Luna looked over.

" Someplace where she could take the baby and let Draco die without a thought," Luna said as Harry looked at her then gasped.

"The Malfoy Manor," Harry said as Luna nodded.
