ShadowandFlamePanther: "It's about time you guys came back."

Severus and Hermione: "Well we needed a vacation. We did have a fight."

Hermione: "How could you have him blurt that out in front of everyone?"

ShadowandFlamePanther: "I'm allowed to. I am the author."

Hermione and Author get into a heated argument

Severus " Here is the next chapter. Excuse the imperfections. It seems the author is back to having no beta."


Chapter 14


Ginny floo'd into Snape Manor and walked down the hall to the swimming pool, where she knew Hermione was. Narcissa followed five minutes afterwards.


Hermione turned her music on low and raised up. "So I take it your other halves told you about us not fighting?"

Narcissa nodded. "Yes, Lucius was quick to explain it is because you need constant protection. That Weasley wasn't the only threat. Even though he is gone, the Order still is a constant threat. That and you are carrying the next Snape heir."


Hermione snorted. "The heir he purposely got me pregnant with. I can understand his thinking though. I am just worried about one other."


Ginny cocked her head. "Who?"


Hermione sighed. "Bellatrix. You know she won't stay out of the battle. Even if Tom was to order it, she will find a way to get into it. Too many on the other side have done her wrong."


Narcissa nodded back at her. "That is true but Bella doesn't go against our Lord that often. She knows the importance of keeping you safe. I think my sister might make that her first and foremost thought."


Hermione met her eyes. "Somehow, I doubt that Cissy. I really do."


Ginny sighed. "This is going to be one bad situation."

In Riddle Manor, Bellatrix was pacing the floors, her anger radiating off of her. "How dare he think he can forbid me to fight? Hermione doesn't need constant protection. She has Ginny and Cissy there. I can't believe him. I have been his most trusted servant, other than that ass kisser Wormtail and Lucius."


Voldemort walked into the room and sat down. "Bella, come here."


Bella walked over and kneeled down. "Yes, Master?"


He pulled her up off the floor to sit on his lap. "Do not be angry with me. While I know Miss Weasley and Madame Malfoy are well able to care for Miss Granger, I am worried about if someone tries to enter the manor on them. If they are rendered unable to protect her, who will do it if you are in battle?"


Bellatrix looked into his eyes. "Tom, I have wanted this forever. Can you not send someone else in my place?"


He shook his head. "No. You, three are the only ones we trust around her. Severus asked for you personally. Can you say no to him?"


Bellatrix bowed her head. "No. I understand better now. I just wish there was some other way that I could be in the battle. I am going to worry about you."


Voldemort smirked. "Do you honestly think I am going to die? I have a promise I made to you. I intend to uphold that promise after this fight. We will come out on top. Don't you worry none. Now, let us go eat and afterwards, I will let you torture someone. Would that please you my dear?"


She nodded and they walked out of the room.

Hermione looked at Severus that night. "Something on your mind, love?", he questioned.


She nodded. "Yes. I know that Ginny, Cissy and Bella are supposed to protect me the night of the fight. The thing is, I am worried about Bella."


Severus smirked. "She will be here in the manor with you three. There is no way for her to escape. Do not let it worry you my love. It will work out in the end."


Hermione looked down at her plate. "Somehow I doubt that, Severus. Bella will find a way. She always does.", she thought and then forced a smile to him. "So how was your day?"

At the Burrow, Harry stood up. "Has anyone figured out where Hermione is yet?"

The Order shook their heads. "No one knows. Due to inside reports from the dark side, Voldemort is getting ready to make his final move. We need to concentrate more on planning the battle and less time trying to find her.", Moody spat out.


Harry sighed and sat down, knowing he was speaking the truth. "Right then. As of now, both Hermione and Ginny are missing. Snape is staying in Malfoy Manor which proves he doesn't have Hermione or else we would have seen her by now."


Tonks looked over. "Could it be she went to the muggle world?"
Harry shook his head. "No, her parents are dead and her house hasn't been entered. I have had all her friend's homes checked and none of them show her being there." Harry then looked around the room. "Hang on, Why isn't Snape here?"


Remus frowned. "Because Harry, he is with Voldemort, meeting for their part of the battle. Remember, to Voldemort, he is still a death eater."


Harry rubbed his face and sunk in the chair. "Then all we do now is wait and plan? I hate this. Two of my friends are missing, one is dead."

Tonks patted his shoulder. "It will be alright Harry. Maybe they are just hiding out from him. You'll see. If Voldemort had either of them, we would have known by now. We don't need to get careless."

Harry stood. "Excuse me. I need sleep. We will meet in the morning at ten to figure out our plan of attack. Good night all."

A few hours later, Severus slipped out of bed and went down to the study. "Lucius. To what do I owe this pleasure, this late at night?"


Lucius turned. "I want you to be extra careful. The Order is planning something. It won't be too long till they figure out that Hermione is here. For now they think that you are staying at Malfoy Manor, the fake you is working out good. Harry seems to be stuck on finding both Hermione and Ginny. I have already warned my son, I am now warning you. This battle could go either way, remember that brother. I am going home to my wife now. Goodnight."

Hermione gently stirred as he climbed back into bed. "Severus?"

"It's fine love. Go back to sleep. We have an early day tomorrow. Tom will want to meet with you to go over the plans."

She nodded gently and then laid her head back down, going to sleep.

Severus: "That's it?"
ShadowandFlamePanther: "Yes, you two stayed away so long I have to get back into writing this story. Thanks to you two, my writers block came back."

Hermione: "Sorry. We promise to be better."

Severus: "Says you. I am the older one here and.."


Draco: ShadowandFlamePanther promises the next chapter will be longer. Forgive her lack of updates. Her muses took a vacation. Please read and review.
