Epilogue
It had been twenty-five years since the events that brought Hermione back to her home planet of Corusant. She and Obi-Wan had been married for nearly twenty-five years and had two children. Their daughter, Lara, had just been given the title of Jedi Knight and every bit her father and mother’s daughter. Their son Lucas, had taken over for Hermione as Senator for Corusant at the age of eighteen three years prior.
Two years after Hermione and Obi-Wan married, Padme and Severus were married in a beautiful wedding on Naboo. After her term as Chancellor was up, she was once more elected Senator for Naboo. She and Severus had three children of their own. Their twins, Luke and Leia, were the same age as Lucas. Luke was Harry’s Padawan and Leia was now the Senator for Yavin 4, having replaced her father four years ago. Their youngest son, Albus, was the new Senator for Naboo at the age of seventeen.
Harry had stayed in touch with Remus and the Weasleys. Especially Ginny. Five years after becoming a Jedi, he returned to Earth, married Ginny, and brought her back to Corusant. They had three children. Lily, James, and Sirius. James and Sirius were both Padawans, and Lily worked in the archives at the Temple.
“Hello mother, father,” Lucas greeted as he entered his parents home.
“Hello Lucas. How was your trip?” Hermione asked as he kissed her cheek.
“Productive. Leia and I believe these trade disputes will be settled soon,” Lucas answered.
“Did Lara come back with you?” Obi-Wan questioned.
“Yes. She went to the briefing, then took off. She said something about meeting Leia and going to Dex’s place. I think Han and Lando are visiting,” Lucas replied.
Hermione chuckled as she saw the look on her husband’s face. Both Severus and Obi-Wan felt Han Solo and Lando Callrissian weren’t good enough for Leia and Lara. Of course no one was good enough for their little girls.
“Well, I’m glad you two were successful. I know Padme has been concerned,” Hermione smiled.
“I gotta go. I promised Lily I would help her at the Temple,” Lucas said.
“Don’t forget, we’re having dinner with Padme and Severus tonight,” Obi-Wan reminded his son.
“I won’t forget. I’ll see you tonight,” Lucas waved.
Hermione sighed as Obi-Wan wrapped his arms around her and held her close. The past twenty-five years had been the happiest years of their lives.
“I love you Hermione. Even after all these years you are as beautiful as ever,” Obi-Wan sighed.
“Obi-Wan, I have never been happier than I have been with you. I’m looking foreword to another twenty-five years at your side,” Hermione whispered.
The couple shared a tender kiss. Both basking in their love for each other, their children, and their friends.
