Married
“Hermione Granger?”
Hermione turned at the sound of her name. “Ginny!” she exclaimed pulling the red haired witch into a hug. “How are you?”
“I’m great, how are you? I didn’t know you were home!”
Hermione blushed. “It’s a really quick trip for my cousins wedding. I will only be in town for a couple of days. I didn’t let anyone know that I was coming because I didn’t think that I would have time to visit with anyone.”
“Well I am glad that I ran into you! Have you heard from Harry?”
Hermione wasn’t quite sure what to say. She knew that Ginny had been in love with Harry when he disappeared and that she had never really gotten over it. She didn’t want to tell any of Harry’s secrets, but she didn’t want to be caught lying if Ginny happened to run into him today. “I actually ran into him this morning for breakfast,” she said finally.
“What!” the witch shrieked, “He’s finally back? Where is he?” she demanded.
“Shopping is what he told me.”
“I’ve got to go, perhaps I can run into him!” she said racing out the door.
Hermione shook her head in sadness. She couldn’t imagine what kind of love would keep someone holding on to hope for so long where there was none. She walked around the shelf and literally bumped into a hard body.
“Oh, excuse me!” she said startled.
“No, excuse me,” a deep voice returned. Hermione looked up and was surprised to see Neville Longbottom.
“Neville!” Hermione exclaimed. “Wow! Its great to see you!” she said blushing. He had changed. He had grown several inches where he now towered over her. He must have been about six and a half feet tall. Gone was his teenaged awkwardness. He stood tall and confident. His eyes sparkled in good humor when he saw Hermione checking him out.
“Hermione, it’s been a long time. Where have you been hiding yourself?”
Hermione laughed. “I haven’t been hiding! I have been in America. I decided to go to a Muggle university and study medicine.”
Neville laughed. “You always did like to study.”
“What have you been doing?”
“I have just taken a job as the Herbology Professor at Hogwarts,” he beamed at her.
“That is fantastic!” she knew that it had been his dream since he was an eleven year old misfit.
“Professor Sprout finally decided to retire and Professor McGonagal has offered me the position. I can’t tell you how pleased I am!”
“I am so happy for you! So what else is going on in your life?”
“Would you care to join me for a butterbeer? We can get caught up.”
“I would love to!” she said and was surprised that she really did.
“I need to make some revisions to my will,” Harry stated to Mr. Grafhook, the goblin in charge of his vaults.
“And will Mr. Malfoy being joining you sir?” the goblin asked.
Harry looked at him in surprise. “Why would he?” he asked suspiciously.
“We are notified when ever a soul bound couple have connected. We actually have been expecting you to come in for the past five years.”
Harry was surprised that he was even surprised. Nothing in this world was a secret from the goblins. “You might as well call him in. He is in the lobby.” Harry stated.
“Very good, Mr. Potter.”
A moment later Draco and Lily came in the room. “The goblins already know, Draco.”
Draco nodded. “Yeah, I just figured that out. I trust that what goes on in this room will not leave it?” he asked looking straight into the goblins eye.
“Of course not, Mr. Malfoy. Shall we get started?”
“I would like to adjust my will so that my estate is left equally between the two children, Sirius Draco Malfoy-Potter and Lilly Narcissa Potter-Malfoy. I would like Draco as the executor of my estate and the guardian of my children,” Harry stated.
Draco nodded. “And I would like the exact same with my estate.”
“And if you both shall perish together?”
Harry and Draco looked at each other in anguish. Neither one of them had thought of that scenario. Draco spoke first, “We would like Hermione Jane Granger to be the guardian of the children with Severus Snape the executor of our estates. We would like a trust set up for schooling and incidentals, but the balance of their inheritance to not be received until their twenty-first year. Is this acceptable to you?”
Harry was surprised at Draco’s words. He never thought he would allow a Muggle born to raise his children. “I think it sounds perfect. However, I think that we need a little added protection. I want to make sure that absolutely nobody can touch the balance of their inheritance. If you could calculate what seven years at Hogwarts would be and then add twenty-five percent for books, and then another twenty-five percent for personal items and spending money that should keep them set. I don’t want anyone being able to squander their inheritance.”
“We also want it known that my father is under no circumstances to ever gain custody of the children. If for some reason Hermione becomes unable to care for the children we need a back up person. Who do you suggest, Harry?”
Harry grinned and his eyes sparkled. “Molly Weasley,” he said.
“Oh god’s Harry! Not the Weasel matriarch!” Draco groaned. “I would rather see them go to one of those obnoxious twins first!” he exclaimed.
Harry laughed knowing that Draco wouldn’t be impressed with the idea. “Draco, Molly was like a mother to me when I didn’t have one. She will love the kids like they were her own. Isn’t that what we want for them? Unconditional love and acceptance.”
Draco groaned. “Alright, Potter, you win. I can’t believe I am allowing my babies to go to a Weasel!”
“Look at it this way, they’re a pureblood family!” Harry smirked.
“Whatever!” he laughed.
“Sir, if I might be so bold. You are both the last of your lines. Mr. Potter you are the last Potter and after Mr. Black adopted you, you became the last of the Black line. Mr. Malfoy, you are the last of the Malfoy line. I would suggest that you each name an heir to the family title. As the children are essentially twin’s, both being born on the same day, you can choose which child will assume which title. Now Mr. Malfoy, if I might be so bold, I am sure you are aware that a female cannot inherit the family title. Mr. Potter neither of your lines have such a restriction. I would suggest Sirius being named as the Malfoy heir and Lilly as the Potter-Black heir.”
“Why would it matter if we named an heir to the family title?” Harry asked.
“In most cases it does not, but when you come from such an old Wizarding family, as with both of your cases, it tends to be an important act of the social structure. You are both wealthy, but until Mr. Malfoy inherits the rest of the Malfoy estate, you Mr. Potter are worth more. Once Mr. Malfoy inherits the bulk of the Malfoy holding he will be worth more because the Malfoy family owns several estates. The Potter family has more gold, but not as many estates. The Black family hold gold and several estates, but not as many as the Malfoy line.”
Harry was starting to feel a headache coming on. He rubbed his temples and thought about this. “What do you think, Draco?”
“I guess it makes sense. I suppose we should change their names to match their tittles. Lilly Narcissa Malfoy-Potter and Sirius Draco Potter-Malfoy.”
Harry nodded his head. “Can you see to that also?” he asked the goblin.
“I can have all of the papers prepared for your signatures later this afternoon.”
“One last thing, I would like to formally give my consent for Draco to be able to access my accounts and anything in either the Black or the Potter vaults,” Harry said.
“Harry!” Draco exclaimed. “I don’t need your money!”
“You heard the goblin, I’m worth more than you are!” he said with a grin.
Draco snorted. “Not for long!” he said.
“Actually because you are a soul bound couple, legally on the day that you consummated your relationship you became married in the eyes of the Wizarding world. You have each had access to each others accounts for the past five years.”
“What!” the both exclaimed.
“We’re married?” Harry asked.
“It is an old law. If a soul bound couple consummate the bond it is assumed that they have agreed to marry,” the goblin told them.
Draco said sarcastically, “Like we had any choice in that!”
Harry quietly agreed remembering their first night together.
“Thank you for your help, Mr. Grafhook,” Harry said reaching out to shake his hand. The goblin shook his hand in return remembering Harry’s strange ways. Draco looked at them both like they were nuts and herded the children out the door without another word. “I apologize for his rude behavior,” Harry said blushing.
“He acts as all wizards do, Mr. Potter.”
“Then I shall be sure to teach our son how wrong they are,” Harry said.
“Mr. Potter, might I make one more reccomendation to you?”
“Yes, of course,” he said.
The goblin looked a little stressed out and then said, “Tell the world that you and Mr. Malfoy are soul bound and have two children together. If Lucius Malfoy gets to you serious consequences can happened. For the safety of you and your family, the more people that know the safer you will be. Right now very few people know. I would not put it past Mr. Malfoy to dispose of those of your family he deems unworthy. If the entire Wizarding world were to know about the bond, he would have less chance of succeeding with any plot he may be scheming.”
“I never thought of it that way. I appreciate your advice,” he said following his family out the door.
Harry thought for a moment and then told Draco what the goblin had told him. Draco nodded his head. “He’s right. My father could either kill you and the children, or obliviate all of us and make you disappear. He might claim the children because they are Malfoy’s, but he would never allow you to live.”
“Then we need to let as many people know as possible.”
“I know the best way to start, too.”
“Rita Skeeter?” Harry asked.
“Oh yeah!” Draco said with his evil smirk.
“So my husband, shall I call you, Mr. Potter?” Harry teased.
“How about I call you, Mr. Malfoy?” Draco asked.
“Why don’t we do what the children do? I shall be, Harry James Malfoy-Potter and you shall be, Draco Lucius Potter-Malfoy.”
“I can’t believe that all of this time we have been married! Alright Mr. Malfoy-Potter, where shall we go next?”
“I will follow you anywhere, Mr. Potter-Malfoy.”
“Then lets go visit Ms. Skeeter.”
Both children looked at their fathers like they had lost their mind.

Ok, so what do you think? As usual, I am holding the next three chapters hostage until I get some review! I would say that when I reach 63 than I will post! And no cheating, the same person can't review more than once per chapter! I posted three times, that means no more than three reviews per person! LOL...did I ever tell you that I was a review whore???
