Chapter Fifteen – Things Change Again
Lucius spent the afternoon in his room thinking. Their dysfunctional sex life had been taking a double toll on Lucius from the very beginning. He had been treating his little Slytherin lady with gentleness, trying to help her overcome her fears. If successful, it should have been a sexual victory for him, too. But he had been submerging all his more varied sexual desires since his discovery of her Slytherin link, and he was now at the end of his tether in more ways than one.
Now she was saying that his completely uncharacteristic, tender care of her had been holding back her recovery! By Merlin, he hadn’t done missionary style so many times in a row since he was a teen. No, he’d never done it that many times in a row, even then. Bloody hell, what a mess. He was now boiling over with repressed anger at being so good. It was why he wanted to call a halt to their association. He was afraid he really would have done an injury to her if he had kept on. He was nearly rabid from restraining himself and now his little Slytherin wanted his full power unleashed in the bedroom, did she?
Should he try it her way? Lucius realized clearly that she was probably leading him by his cock again – clever little female snake. But with the promise of him being able to fully unleash his sexual appetite, no holds barred, he had to admit he was sorely tempted. Lucius pondered all the angles for a long time. When he had finally weighed all his options, he made a decision. A new bargain was in order.
Lea didn’t know it, but Lucius had started thinking of her as a person and not just a convenient commodity when he realized she was Slytherin through and through. When that happened, it had lightened his spirits and made him more generous with her. He was an accomplished survivor, but after Voldemort’s final defeat and death, Lucius hadn’t looked forward to his future release from prison as much as he should have. His wealth was intact and he still directed the bulk of it even from his confinement. His estate awaited him, but it was an empty place now.
Lucius had just been marking time in Azkaban. Even his initial plans for revenge had long since grown cold. Sometimes the loneliness was just crushing. No one wanted to visit Azkaban. Narcissa had divorced him and Draco had supported that Potter brat. Lucius didn’t know if he could forgive his son for that betrayal, even if it was a perfectly acceptable Slytherin move. Draco had seen how the war was going and had jumped for the winning side. How could Lucius fault Draco for following his father’s teaching? Lucius sighed. Draco wouldn’t come near him now, for fear of being tainted by his father’s reputation. Lucius had now found a new companion to excite him, but his initial rapport with Lea was like an old phoenix that had finally gone up in flames. It was time for a new phoenix to rise from the ashes.
Lucius dressed formally for dinner in a sleek black suit, pristine white shirt, and matching waistcoat and tie in a dark green brocade. He had left his hair loose for effect as part of the plans he wished to carry out. Entering the dining area, he saw Lea was there before him, dressed in one of the long dresses she had reluctantly selected from a famous designer’s album he had provided for her, a low cut deep lavender silk that beautifully enhanced her eyes and made her ivory skin glow in the candlelight. Lucius enjoyed the dress but almost missed her shirt; even knowing she still slept in it most nights. Her hair was shining and apparently she had asked one of the elves to even the ends for her. This was a change for his little mistress, as she always rejected most of his overtures of clothing and personal care, except for delighting in her own cleanliness. He cynically saw that tonight she was attempting to sway his decision with a few cosmetic changes she knew he would like.
Lucius sat down to the ornate evening crystal goblets and dinnerware, and placed his damask napkin on his lap. He called up the first course and they ate their soup in silence. Lea shot glances at him from time to time, obviously worried about his decision. Lucius felt she richly deserved the suspense he was keeping her in, and calmly ate through all the courses without saying a word, except to the elves. As the meal progressed to the end, Lea relaxed a little, and Lucius saw it. Little bitch, he thought fondly, she probably knew he wouldn’t keep her guessing this long if he wasn’t going to give her another chance. No one could ever say she was stupid. He was simultaneously amused and exasperated. But not bored.
When the meal came to an end, Lucius had the table cleared and he put his elbows on the surface, clasping his hands together and leaning toward her. “It’s time to discuss where we are going to go from here. I cannot and I will not continue as we have been. This, you already know. Either our agreement must change significantly, or you will have to remove to the rooms below, probably permanently. Or leave Azkaban.” Lucius sat back and he lifted his chin haughtily, “What is your decision?” Lucius was now gambling that she wanted to stay. She would have been packed and gone by now if she had wanted to leave him. He had offered her passage off the island.
Lea’s lips trembled with real apprehension, “I want to stay. I want you to make me better. I want to stop hiding from you in my mind. Truly, Lucius. I’m so sorry.” She sat there desperately hoping for his acceptance of her, while a lone tear ran down her cheek. Lea never cried from anything. She had never cried to Lucius’ knowledge while he’d known her.
Lucius knew he needed the whip hand if he was going to continue living with her. She could not be allowed to maneuver him any more. Even with his connivance. He commanded or she left. It was that simple and they both knew it. Her nature would never let her docilely follow him forever. They would have tussles unending, but he had to own her, not the other way around. Their recent past behavior together had been slowly poisoning them both. This was the only way forward.
Lea bowed her head. “Tell me what our new agreement is, Lucius. Please. You know I’ll submit to anything you choose.”
Lucius almost laughed at that. It was getting harder to maintain his fierce scowl in the face of her abject demeanor. No, he wasn’t going to be bored, but he might want to strangle her once in a while.
Lucius laid out his new rules, “I will give you three months to learn not to disappear in your mind when I make love to you If, after three months, you still cannot stay in the present while we are having sex, you will leave. I will give you three more months past that to learn how to let yourself go enough to find your own climaxes. I’ll accommodate whichever way works best for you, but if you cannot gain your own releases from me, you will leave. Do you understand so far?”
Lea nodded. She would accept whatever he said if she could stay. She didn’t know if she was capable of doing what he asked, but she was going to try hard. She hadn’t been trying up until now, choosing instead to skate along on the surface of their relationship without really paying much attention to his bedroom requests. She knew that had to change.
“And the time has come and gone when, if you had tried harder,” Lea jumped at that, “you might have accomplished all this already. It has been more than six months, after all. I have been more than accommodating to you in your distress. Now, however, my requirements have changed. It is your own suggestion that I become more aggressive sexually with you.” Lucius smiled coldly at her and she shivered inside with… fear? Or anticipation? Probably some of both.
“This entire apartment is now my erotic playground. What I say goes. Whatever I want you to do, you will do. Whatever I want to do to you, I will do. I will no longer promise not to hurt you, you have lost that protection. Where before you were a cherished companion, now you will have to earn that position back. We will continue with our reading routine, so you may learn more; that will not change. You see? I will not hold that back from you.
“And I offer something more for you. I will begin your studies in magic when you have advanced far enough in reading and other necessary subjects to comprehend your lessons. For this I require your full attention and obedience for a space of three years: one and a half years I have left to spend here, and one and a half more at my estate when I am released.” Lucius finished his rules, “At all times, my word is final. For the entire three years, your obedience to my sexual desires will continue. If you cannot agree, you may leave tonight.”
Lea sat stunned. She had played fast and loose with this powerful wizard and now she was learning who had the control; it certainly wasn’t her. She had a choice. Stay and basically belong to him for three years. Or leave tonight. Lea slid the ideas around in her agile mind, assessing angles much as her companion had earlier. She would continue to learn. And she would learn magic from a master. That was worth nearly anything, she knew. She thought she knew what the worst of the sex act could bring, and if it was with Lucius it couldn’t be so bad.
Lucius could almost hear the wheels churning in her snaky little mind. He had already deduced Lea would count her past experiences as the worst that could befall her, so she thought she knew the future. Lea was wildly off there, but she wouldn’t find that out until after the new bargain was struck. Lucius wasn’t planning to maim her or permanently damage his property. That would be incredibly stupid and shortsighted. If three years lengthened to more, he didn’t want any lasting physical impairments in this tiny Slytherin. Not that he wasn’t capable of it. But he would take her to the edge, forever imprinting on her his ownership.
Lea turned over in her mind all the possibilities. She hoped that in time she would be able to do what he asked, and then make him want to keep her forever. He was a wizard, but he was also a man and that made him vulnerable. He’d already shown he was very attracted to her. It had been her behavior that had brought her to this pass. So it could also be her behavior that brought her what she wanted. To read, to learn magic, but mostly to stay with Lucius. Lea was still frightened of the new bargain, but what choice did she have, given her two options? “Very well, Lucius. I agree - to everything.”
“Ah, a bargain is struck.” He shook hands on it with her. He had played nice, but no more. “Now, you can take all the dirty dishes and wash them up and put them away. The elves will show you where. Just ask. I will be reading in the drawing room when you finish.” Lucius strolled away to the far end of the long room and sat on the sofa with a book he’d pulled from his shelves. It was titled, "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu, one of the few Muggle books he liked. His other favorite was "The Prince" by Nicolo Machiavelli. Lea would need to learn to read much better before she could outsmart Lucius Malfoy.
