Chapter Fifteen

**************

Lucius and Lexy did not go straight back to the manor after the wedding. He was not convinced yet that she was entirely reassured of his regard for her, so Lucius decided to take Lexy out to dinner to talk to her further on the subject. Forgoing Victus Exquisitus in favour of somewhere quieter, they instead went to a small local restaurant. Lucius bristled at the amount of admiring looks that Lexy received as they entered the restaurant, and one small twitch of his wand hand was more than enough to cause all the men to avert their gaze. “Why were all those men staring at us?” Lexy asked, perturbed.

Lucius shook his head disbelievingly as he helped her into her seat. “They were looking at you, princess, because dressed as you are, you are the most enticing and attractive creature they have likely ever seen.”

Lexy frowned. “I appreciate that you are trying to build my confidence up, Lucius, but really…”

“Imperio!” Lucius pointed his wand at a man sat with his wife at the next table. “You, answer my questions truthfully. Were you watching this woman when she came in?”

“Yes,” the man replied dully.

“Why?” Lucius asked dangerously.

“She’s beautiful. That gown is clinging to her curves perfectly, and with lips like those I’d love to ram my cock down her throat.”

Lexy shuddered with revulsion as Lucius continued. “You wish to fuck my fiancée?” he demanded.

“Oh yes,” the man replied, licking his lips, his wife reddening furiously.

“Crucio!” Lucius roared, holding the curse on the writhing man for nearly five minutes whilst the rest of the restaurant watched in horrified fascination. When he finally lifted the curses, the unfortunate man was still twitching and drooling. “Let that be a lesson to you all,” he addressed the entire restaurant. “This woman is shortly to become my wife. If any of you even look at her from this moment forward, your life and the lives of your family will be forfeit,” he stated coldly, rolling back his sleeve to reveal the Dark Lord’s mark upon his forearm. They all shuddered and immediately looked away, terror evident on their faces.

Lucius smiled and sat down. “Are you ready to order, Lexy?” he asked.

She merely stared at him, her mind running through the stories Ginny had told her. “Was that necessary, Lucius?” she demanded.

He lifted one eyebrow. “Obviously you would not dream of challenging my authority to defend you, Lexy…” she met his eyes uneasily, “and those men need to know that you are mine. They do not deserve to even look at you,” he said sharply.

“I thought we had established that I am not your possession?” Lexy said angrily.

“No, pet, you are incorrect. You are entirely my prize and my possession. Much more than that as well, but still my possession,” Lucius replied coolly, taking her hand and holding it in his. “You will come to understand that in time, Lexy.”

Mutinously, she snatched her hand away. “Will our marriage make you my possession, then?”

Lucius stroked his chin thoughtfully. “In a way, yes.” He chuckled inwardly as her mouth fell open slightly with surprise. “I will be your husband, Lexy, and no other witch will be able to claim that. You will have entire ownership over me in that respect, as I will over you.”

“I have never thought of marriage in that way before,” Lexy replied slowly. “I doubt that is how my parents would have described their marriage.”

“Perhaps not, but theirs was not a traditional Pureblood marriage.”

Lexy shook her head. “They were Purebloods, as you know,” she retorted, confused.

“I am not disputing that, princess. However, I doubt you are aware that a Pureblood couple can choose to use a different marriage ceremony, calling upon old magic,” Lucius explained, gesturing for a waiter to take their order. “It ties the two people together using the very essence of their magic, encouraging fidelity and increasing the chances of magical children.”

“Why is it not used by all Pureblood couples, then?” Lexy questioned. Her Ravenclaw intellect was rising to the surface, and she was intrigued by this new concept.

Lucius pointed out their order to the waiter, dismissing him again before replying. “It has certain… ah…. side effects,” he replied hesitantly.

“Such as?”

“The first is the pain caused to either one of the couple should they attempt infidelity. They will be unable to initiate sexual contact with another, and should sexual contact occur they will be in almost unbearable pain until it is over.”

Lexy stared at him disbelievingly. “You are willing to be bound by this? To never take a mistress?”

“I need no-one else when I have you, Lexy,” he replied solemnly. “There is one other side-effect which is the main reason that it is so rarely used these days. Should a non-magical child be conceived, the bond of the magic will react with the foetus to cause an abortion.”

She paled and felt bile rise in her throat. “At what stage?” Lexy asked tremulously.

Lucius waved his hand dismissively. “Oh, only around twelve weeks or so.”

“So the woman knows she is pregnant?” Lexy said, horrified. “Lucius, that is totally barbaric. You expect me submit to a bond which could kill my children?”

“It is attitudes like that which have caused the increase in Squibs in Pureblood families!” Lucius replied angrily, his voice raised. “You do not have a choice in this, Lexy. If you really think that I will risk having a Squib born into my family, then you are not the intelligent woman I had taken you for. Perhaps I need to rethink my plans for you,” he said coldly.

“What do you mean by that remark?” Lexy demanded, her face white.

“You know that I desire you to be the wife I have always wanted, but that requires fulfilling certain duties and expectations. If you are unable to even accept this small point, then perhaps I shall have to treat you in the manner that everybody expects me to,” Lucius spat bitterly, “and keep you in the dungeons as my plaything and breeding mare after all.”

He rose from the table and seized her arm forcefully. “We will continue this discussion in the manor, Lexy.” Giving her no chance to reply, he pulled her out of the restaurant and Apparated them straight into the dungeons.

Despite her fear, Lexy’s inbuilt curiosity rose to the surface as she questioned something Lucius had told her when he first brought her to the manor. “Lucius, how are we able to Apparate into the dungeons? I thought anti-Apparition wards were on the entire manor.”

He smirked. “Fortunately, my ancestors made one proviso when creating the wards. Malfoy males may Apparate to the dungeons only, if they are accompanied by a prisoner. A loophole that I myself have utilised with many females before you arrived here,” Lucius said cruelly. He looked around the dungeon, noting with pleasure the various restraints and torture devices resting against the walls. “Do you know, Lexy, I would enjoy keeping you here almost as much as having you as a proper wife. We could have great fun with these instruments.” He walked over to them and casually flicked a leather whip against the wall.

Lexy flushed. “I would much rather use a selection of them willingly as your wife, in our marital bedroom,” she said quietly, addressing the stone wall.

Lucius’ cock throbbed, and he made no effort to hide the swelling underneath his robes as he turned to face her. “That would be infinitely be more pleasurable for the both of us, I am certain. If you allow me, I can teach you that pain can bring about the greatest of pleasures,” he said persuasively, stroking the whip absently with his fingertips. “I take this to mean that you will submit to the traditional ceremony?”

“How often are non-magical children conceived in Pureblood marriages?” Lexy asked uneasily, avoiding his question and suggestion for now.

Lucius bit on his lip thoughtfully. “I cannot speak for the Malfoys. Whilst I did not use it in my previous marriage, the majority of my forefathers did, so I would not be able to tell you if it is a common affliction for my family. Generally, it is along the lines of somewhere around one in a thousand, I believe, for families where this is no history of Squibs. How much do you know of your family?”

“As far as I am aware, no Beaumonts have been born Squibs. I do not know so much of my mother’s family; she was born a Yaxley, but her mother was French. I do know that she had an uncle who was disowned for marrying a muggleborn, so I would not be surprised if they enforced similar precautions against Squib offspring.”

Lucius nodded approvingly. “The Yaxleys have not produced any Squibs that I am aware of. So you see, princess, the chances of us producing any Squibs,” he curled his lip at the mere thought, “are thankfully minimal. You need not worry.” He caressed her face reassuringly before sitting on the floor and pulling her into his lap. “I take it you have no objection to the other part of the bond?”

“Of course not! I never had any intention of taking a lover other than you. To be quite honest, I am only shocked that you are willing to commit yourself in such a way.”

He frowned. “Why do you have this idea that I need to take a mistress to be satisfied when I have you? Is it not obvious how much you arouse me?”

Lexy nodded. “You have made it perfectly plain. But Lucius, I…” she trailed off and blushed again.

“You can tell me, Lexy, I promise,” Lucius murmured coaxingly.

“I worry that I will not be enough to satisfy you, Lucius,” she mumbled, her eyes lowered. “I am a virgin, and I know nothing about sex. You have had many lovers, and you have a wide repertoire,” Lexy said as she gestured around the room.

Lucius was shocked. “Lexy,” he implored her, “I assure you that you have nothing to worry about. Nothing,” he stressed, “would give me greater pleasure than the knowledge that I would be your only lover, and the only one to teach you the joys of sex. Merlin’s beard, I desire you so much that even if you were to lie under me as if you had been Petrified I would still want nobody else. And I promise you, there will be no such stillness in our marital bed.”

Lexy smiled slightly. “I suppose it is my merely my Ravenclaw fear of failure asserting itself, Lucius.”

“There is nothing wrong with that, princess. Ravenclaws are also the best at learning, and I shall certainly be teaching you a lot,” he replied with a lascivious grin. “In fact, how do you feel about learning something now, pet? You did ruin our meal, after all.” Without waiting for an answer, he gently pushed her off his lap and stood up, removing his outer robes as he did so.

Lexy started to stand, but he shook his head. “On your knees, Lexy,” Lucius muttered hoarsely. She eyed his tented trousers apprehensively; Lexy had heard her housemates talking about this, but she was well aware that Lucius was more than averagely endowed. She met his eyes for further instruction. “Take down my trousers, princess,” he said impatiently, his cock painfully swollen and his balls demanding release.

She did as he asked, swallowing hard as his cock was released, a drop of pre-cum glistening on the engorged head. Lucius licked his lips hungrily. “Do you know what to do, Lexy?” he asked softly. Lexy nodded slowly, and parted her lips. Lucius groaned, unable to wait any longer, and he thrusted his hips forward, slowly filling her mouth with his cock.

Lexy’s eyes widened as she adjusted to the unfamiliar sensation and taste, her brow wrinkling slightly. Slowly, though, she recalled the tales of her more sexually experienced housemates, and she began to move her mouth backwards and forwards over Lucius’ cock.

“Oh gods, Lexy, that feels wonderful,” Lucius moaned, hissing loudly as she flicked her tongue across the head of his cock. Encouraged, she sucked the soft head, and Lucius’ legs buckled at the knees. He wound his hands through her hair in an attempt to stay upright, but he was sorely challenged when Lexy moved her hand up to caress his balls, alternately rubbing her fingers across them and gently squeezing them. Lucius felt himself approaching climax, and he tightened his hold on her hair.

Lexy felt the change in his demeanour, and increased the pace and depth of her movements, encouraging him to thrust into her mouth. She was determined to take him in his entirety, so she slowly tipped her head back and moved her mouth along her shaft.

The sensation of Lexy’s mouth wrapped around his cock up to his balls was enough to push Lucius over the edge, and he shuddered and moaned before his orgasm took hold, his cock spurting his seed down her throat. Lexy gagged slightly, but swallowed all of his cum.

Lucius slowly withdrew his cock before his legs collapsed beneath him and he slid slowly down the wall. Lexy hastened him. “Are you alright, Lucius?” she asked, unconsciously licking a drop of his cum from her lips.

He groaned and slowly rocked back and forth. “Where did you learn to do that, Lexy?” he jealously demanded.

“We Ravenclaws liked to share knowledge, and I am a good listener,” Lexy replied with a small smirk that almost rivalled his own.

Lucius smiled. “In that case, thank Merlin that you were sorted into Ravenclaw,” he asserted fervently. “Princess, you are the first witch to be able to take me entirely like that. And you wonder why I have no want for another witch!”

Lexy chuckled, and offered him her hand to pull him to his feet. Lucius accepted, and he steered them towards the dining room. “I think we are both in need of a good meal after that performance,” he whispered in her ear. She nodded in assent, and they left the dungeons. “It is just as well you saw sense, princess,” he said casually. “I hate to think what would have become of your brother had he been left in my sole care.”

Lexy froze. She had been a fool to forget what Lucius was capable of. “Come, Lexy,” he called impatiently from further down the corridor. Well, she would not forget again, she thought to herself grimly.

*********************

Before Lexy knew it, it was early July and the day of her wedding to Lucius. Lexy was stood on the balcony of their bedroom waiting for Ginny Snape to come and help her dress. The early morning breeze was helping to calm her, but she had still been unable to eat anything from the breakfast tray Lucius had sent up for her.

Ginny knocked on the door, determined to find out the truth. The look she had seen on Lucius’ face at her own wedding had been playing on her mind ever since. Truth be told, she was intrigued. She only hoped that if Lucius had fallen in love, he was not the only one. “Morning, Lexy!” she called brightly.

The younger woman turned around and sighed softly. “Good morning, Ginny. Thank you for coming today,” she replied dully.

Ginny frowned. “Hardly the excited bride-to-be, Lexy,” she said probingly, in the manner she had learnt so well from her mother.

“What have I to be excited about?” Lexy said with a small shrug and another sigh.

Ginny joined her on the balcony and put a comforting arm around her shoulders. “Marriage to the most prominent man in the country, who has not only offered you and your brother his protection, but has fallen in love with you as well.”

Lexy snorted. “So he says,” she replied sharply, blinking as she looked out across the countryside.

“Have you not seen the way that man looks at you, Lexy?” Ginny asked kindly. “I would never have believed it myself had I not seen it with my own eyes, but I am convinced that he adores you.”

Lexy turned towards her. “How can you be so sure?” she demanded, hope rising in her voice.

Ginny wondered how best to convince her. She smiled slightly. “Lexy, would you say that your parents were in love?” Lexy nodded fervently. “Why?”

Memories of her parents rose in her mind. “Everything Papa did was for Mama, and she for him. And even when they were just eating breakfast or walking along the street, they had this kind of light shining in their eyes. Mama told me it was the ‘light of love’,” she replied with a small giggle.

Ginny nodded adamantly. “That is EXACTLY what I’m talking about. Lexy, when Lucius saw you in your robes at my wedding, the look in his eyes was undoubtedly that of a man in love.”

Lexy refused to accept it. “It was lust, if anything,” she insisted. “Lucius is always telling me how much he desires me,” she said with a slight blush.

“I have seen lust many times,” Ginny replied sharply, “and lust does not soften your features and light up your eyes as you did to Lucius.”

“He must have been faking it to fool me, then. Lucius is a Death Eater, Ginny! He is nothing more than a cold, murdering bastard.” Tears began to fall down her face in earnest.

Ginny pulled her into a tight embrace. “Severus said the same thing, but he did not see what I did, Lexy. Dear, your eyes were closed when I saw what I did. He was not looking so merely to fool you, I am certain.”

Lexy’s mind was spinning. If what Ginny was telling her was true, that put an entirely new perspective on everything. True, Lucius had been telling her for the past month that he was falling in love with her, but she had refused to believe it for even a second; but Ginny seemed so certain of it, it was difficult to know what to believe. Her heart began to pound as she considered the possibility that Lucius truly was in love with her until a memory rose in her mind that caused it to feel as if a vice grip were upon it; Lucius’ obvious threat to her brother. Lexy grimaced. “It will suit the Order if he is falling for me,” she stated coldly. “It can only help me manipulate him for the Order’s needs.”

Ginny stared into her eyes. “Then you are not falling for him at all?” she asked intuitively.

She quickly shook her head. “How could I be? He is a Death Eater. It is impossible for me to love him,” Lexy said vehemently.

“Which of us are you trying to convince, Lexy?” Ginny asked with a small frown. “It would not be so bad if you were to fall in love with him, if he loves you too. Merlin knows you deserve some happiness, we all do.”

Lexy was saved from having to answer by a house elf bringing her wedding gown into the room. Ginny gasped out loud when she saw it. “Lexy, that is beautiful!” she said admiringly.

Lexy smiled bashfully. “Madam Twillfit created it to my design. She did do a wonderful job with it.” She took the gown and laid it across the bed, smiling down at it, for it truly was beautiful. It was an ivory satin medieval style dress, similar to one she had seen whilst shopping with Mémé Marie in Paris a few years ago. The sleeves were long and slightly flared at the end, and it had an inbuilt corset covered in many sparkling diamonds. Lexy had not asked for them, and she strongly suspected that Lucius had requested them.

Ginny grinned. “If Lucius wasn’t already in love with you, he would fall head over heels when he sees you in this, Lexy. Let’s start getting you dressed, then. Have you got your underwear ready?”

Lexy fetched the white set that Madam Twillfit had sent along with the gown. “Ginny,” she asked hesitantly, “is it going to hurt?”

Ginny raised her eyebrows. “Is what going to hurt?”

“When we… you know….”

“You mean to tell me Lucius hasn’t touched you yet?!” Ginny demanded, deeply surprised.

Lexy blushed again. “Well, we have experimented a little, but I insisted that he wouldn’t take my virginity until we were married,” she explained, her head held high.

Ginny winced worriedly, remembering what Severus had told her about Lucius’ sexual habits. She very much doubted that Lucius would be gentle with her friend, especially if he had been denied for so long. Whilst she wanted Lexy to be prepared, if she were too nervous it would be even worse for her. “It will hurt at first,” she said honestly. “But I am sure that Lucius is an experienced lover, and he will be able to give you enough pleasure that the pain quickly fades.”

Lexy disappeared behind a screen to change into the underwear. “Oh, I know that he is an experienced man,” she said bitterly. “I have seen some of the toys he keeps in the dungeons.”

Ginny’s eyes sparkled. “If he loves you as much as I believe he does, then he will do nothing that you do not want him to, Lexy. Severus made a valid point when we were discussing it, which is that Lucius’ priority has to be ensuring that you can deliver five children. He can do nothing to jeopardise that.”

“And after that?”

Ginny smiled sadly. “By that time, I very much hope that neither of us will even be in this position any more. But that is no reason not to make the most of what we have now.”

Lexy came out from behind the screen and put on her wedding gown, her eyes shining with unshod tears as Ginny fastened the back and ushered her into a chair to begin her hair. An hour later, Ginny was finally finished. She fixed the veil into place and stepped back to admire her work. She smiled broadly as she turned Lexy towards the mirror.

Lexy’s hands trembled and her mouth opened slightly as she gazed upon her reflection, seeing for the first time what Lucius saw in her. Her reflection no longer portrayed a teenage girl, but a beautiful young woman.

A soft knock at the door interrupted her reverie, and Ginny hastened across to open it. Remus Lupin was standing behind it, a box in his hand. “Lucius asked me to bring up some ancestral jewellery…” he trailed off as he caught sight of Lexy.

Lexy blushed as she met his gaze and recognised the look in his darkened eyes. “Good morning, Remus,” she said quietly.

With an effort, Remus tore his eyes away from her face. “You are absolutely beautiful, Lexy. Your parents would have been deeply proud of the woman you have become and the courage you are showing,” he said, his voice wavering.

Lexy was deeply touched, and crossed the room to embrace him. “Thank you, Remus,” she murmured, tears threatening to spill.

Impulsively, Remus held her at arm’s length. “Don’t do it, Lexy,” he said suddenly.

“What?” she demanded, her face losing all its colour.

“Don’t marry him, Lexy,” he begged. “The Order will keep you safe.”

Lexy turned to Ginny for advice, but Ginny was speechless.

A/N This chapter wasn't planned to go this way at all, but Lucius, as he always does, took it in a new direction, and managed to sneak in a little lime as well. Perhaps it was just as well; Lexy surely couldn't have been forgetting what he was capable of?
