Notes: Yes, I am one crazy mother... Welcome to the Insanity.

\"Now all that\'s left of me
Is what I pretend to be
So together, but so broken up inside
\'Cause I can\'t breathe
No, I can\'t sleep
I\'m barely hangin\' on

Here I am, once again
I\'m torn into pieces
Can\'t deny it, can\'t pretend
Just thought you were the one
Broken up, deep inside
But you won\'t get to see the tears I cry
Behind these hazel eyes

Swallow me then spit me out
For hating you, I blame myself
Seeing you it kills me now
No, I don\'t cry on the outside
Anymore...\"- \"Behind These Hazel Eyes\" by Kelly Clarkson

Chapter 13. Diagon Alley

A pair of hands wrapped around Draco and held him close as he sobbed lightly in his bed. It had been a full week since Colin\'s arrival, Io\'s return to consciousness, and Narcissa\'s death. Since Draco\'s new found telepathy had come to pass, he spent the entire day training with Severus to strengthen his mind, so his barriers could stay up without him willing them to be. It took a lot out of him during the day, and this was the second time in that time that the blonde had broken down, memories of his mother and the accompanying feelings of loss and longing tearing down the already cracked Malfoy facade. Harry rocked the crying boy, whispering sweet nothings into his ear, assuring him that everything would be alright and that he would be here for him. The Golden Boy himself spent time with his godfather, or Draco when he wasn\'t busy, keeping himself occupied and trying to figure out what their plan was to be when September 1st came around. Order members were getting ready for the fight, coming in and out of the house constantly, delivering battle plans, messages, and movements of the Death Eaters and Voldemort. The Gryffindor pressed a kiss to Draco\'s forehead, lifting his head high enough for each of them to look the other in the eye.

\"Hey, it\'ll be fine, okay? Here, we\'ll need to get our rest for tomorrow. Remember? We go to Diagon Alley tomorrow so we can restock our supply and go shopping for some clothes. Sirius wasn\'t too happy you wore his favorite shirt.\"

The other boy smiled a little at that, remembering how the older man had nearly exploded the second time they had met, yelling at Draco for nearly an hour before Lupin had stepped in and shut him up.

\"Okay, for tomorrow then.\" Draco kissed Harry, pressing their lips together for a chaste kiss before snuggling back down under the covers. \"Good night, scar-head.\" Laughing along with Draco, Harry closed his eyes, and followed his mate into dreamland.

Two shadows swept quickly across the grounds of Hogwarts, moving back and forth, guarding the castle for the Dark Lord as they had been ordered to. A Centaur burst from the forest, it\'s crossbow raised, flaming at the tip, and launched an Arrow towards the wooden doors of the southern entrance. The shades put the fires out without a second thought, before moving back to the intruder and popping up from the ground. Their arms shot out, stabbing through the Centaur in one swift move. The centaur didn\'t stand a chance as it was cut down, its body burning up and consumed by flames that had sprung from the wounds. The two creatures modified themselves to look human, and walked across the grass, still looking out into the forest.

\"Ethan, how are we going to get Io back? Sky had all the brains, we were just the brawn. I want my little bro back, for his own good.\" Ethan snarled, his eyes becoming red and his teeth bared.

\"Do not worry yourself, Tate, we will find him. He will pay for Sky, but, for his own good, he will be with us. We should teach him not to run away ever again.\" the Ethereal smiled maniacally, sinking slowly into the ground and starting his route along the grounds once more.
----------

The group walked solemnly through the Leaky Cauldron, entering Diagon Alley through the back-ways of the renown pub. Harry and Draco looked back to make sure everyone in their party had followed. Lucius looked as elegant as ever, except for the scowl that graced his features as he watched Colin bounce around in excitement for once again going back to Diagon Alley. Severus also scowled deeply, always having to look back to see if Io was still there. The boy made no sound as he walked, and though he wasn\'t actually in contact with the potions master, he was still directly behind him, only about an inch or two of space between them. It was getting on the man\'s nerves. The boy didn\'t seem to remember any of them, not even Harry, and Severus had figured it a good idea not to tell the boy what his life had been like for the last 3 years that they knew of. Ron and Hermione hadn\'t wanted to go, using their time to \'study\' in the library. In other words, they were snogging the hell out of each other. Sirius and Remus had decided to stay as well, to enjoy each other\'s presence and watch for Order members. Harry, Draco, and Colin decided that the groups should split up and meet each other at Fortescue\'s a little later.

The entire group stopped by Gringotts, before splitting up. As they headed out of the prestigious bank, Harry and Draco were the first to depart, heading to a new place next to Madame Malkin\'s shop. With a wave to the others, they left, starting to talk amongst themselves quietly. Lucius and, to his chagrin, Colin walked the other direction, the boy smiling and making light-hearted comments the entire way. Snape rolled his eyes at the over-exuberant Gryffindor, and the scowling Malfoy Senior. Whirling around suddenly, Snape grabbed Io by his arm and brought him around to his side, and letting the boy keep up with his strides. The two arrived at the Apothecary, Severus reveling at the sight of his favorite store.

\"What is that awful smell, sir?\" asked Io, his nose wrinkled at the offending smell.

\"I believe, Io, that is a combination of Frog\'s Brains, Rat\'s Spleens, and tube-worms. This is the Apothecary and it sells potions ingredients. I need to order a few things to restock our supplies.\" Io shrugged, eyes glazing over Dragon scales, Unicorn Horns, and a few pieces of Gillyweed.

Snape went about his business, ordering what he needed for the Order and his own personal supply, while Io looked around, ogling the potions ingredients. Though he remembered some of them, others he didn\'t. He started remembering names, times, dates. Everything was a jumble in his head that for a few seconds before any of it made sense. One of the stores apprentices came over behind him as he stared at some aconite.

\"Excuse me young sir, but are you interested in that item?\" Io jumped as the man\'s hand made contact with his shoulder. The apprentice looked at Io oddly, but Io just shook his head.

\"I\'m sorry, sir, but I don\'t have any money.\" The man suddenly became annoyed.

\"Then why are you in the store? Get out if you do not plan on buying anything.\" The man grabbed Io\'s arm and lead him to the door. \"You children have no place here if you cannot pay for what you look through.\"

Io struggles little, but called out to Snape, who turned around and immediately rushed over to the apprentice, his voice roaring, \"What do you think you are doing to him!?\"

\"I was just removing this kid from the store as he has no money to buy anything.\" Severus glared the man, pointing his wand at him.

\"Let him go this instant you ignorant fool. He is 19 years old, for one, and two, he does have money; he is with me.\"

The apprentice dropped the boys arm, muttering angrily to himself before leaving the two of them be. Io kept his head down until after they had left the store. Noticing something seemed to be troubling the boy, Snape rested a hand on his shoulder, and Io finally looked up to meet his questioning gaze.

\"What\'s wrong, Io?\"

\"I was just thinking, sir, that I have no money and no wand. How am I going to survive after I am able to leave number 12?\" Snape just smirked.

\"Is that all? Here, we can go get you a wand, and then you\'ll at least have something to start with, alright? C\'mon. Next stop, Ollivander\'s.\"
---------

Lucius walked towards the darkest corner of the alley, quickly finding the entrance to Knockturn. He was only a few steps inside when a loud voice came from behind. The older man wheeled around frustratingly, glaring at the energetic mousy Gryffindor bounding up to him. Lucius grit his teeth. Out of all of them, Colin, to him, had to be the most annoying. He really didn\'t want nor need him following him everywhere, but Lucius already knew that ditching the boy was out of the question. A glint of mischief played in the boy\'s eye as he approached, making Lucius suspicious.

\"What are you grinning about, boy?\" Colin pretended to act un-interested as he moved along some shrunken head, seemingly checking them out.

\"My name is Colin, and actually, I am not happy about anything. I\'ve just never been in here before.\"

\"Well then, listen boy. I have some very important business to attend to, and I don\'t need you getting in my way. Don\'t touch anything, don\'t talk to anyone, and certainly do not go anywhere. If you\'re going to be here, you\'ll have to stay with me. Understand?\" Colin nodded, though his mind seemed to be somewhere else.

The aristocrat strode quickly, the small boy on his heels, into a shop on the edge of the alley. Colin read the \"Borgin and Burkes\" with faint interest before strolling into the place himself, stopping in his tracks to see Lucius standing calmly in front of a wizard with a wand aimed at his chest. Lucius seemed like he didn\'t care that the other man could hex him at any moment. Colin took out his own wand, hiding behind a mirror, knowing Mr. Borgin hadn\'t see him yet. The mousy boy aimed his wand, getting a good bead on the opposing wizard, before sending out his spell.

\"Expelliarmus!\" the spell snatched the man\'s wand, and Lucius lunged, pinning the other man to the wall with his own wand and a fierce glare. Colin wasn\'t that far behind, his look the same as Lucius\'s.

\"I thought I told you not to-\"

\"Not to what? I didn\'t go anywhere but with you, like you said, and I haven\'t touched anything. His wand is still back there.\" Colin interrupted, his wand poking the other man as he spoke.

\"Fine, whatever boy. Mr.Borgin, I assume you know how I can get around his new wards?\" Borgin flinched, but then sneered at Lucius.

\"You are not serving our master anymore, you traitor! I will not tell you seeing how you now serve those fools of the light. Our master will win, and then he\'ll kill you...\" The man suddenly cried out as a very strong Crucio struck him, not cast by the elder Malfoy, but Colin.

\"Give it up!\" Lucius, surprised by the boys move, decided not to stop him, and used it to his advantage.

\"I can stop him, Borgin, just tell me the ways.\"

Io lifted the curse, taking aim with his wand and started to cast cutting hexes. The first one struck the man\'s Achilles tendon. The screams started, and could be heard even from outside the establishment. Colin continued hexing, while Lucius continued to try and persuade the man to give up what he knew. It was during a rather nasty severing charm to Borgin\'s groin that he finally began to spill. Lucius, after hearing everything he needed to hear, stopped to survey the boy\'s work. Cuts lined the man\'s wrists, both tendons, and in a criss-crossing pattern on his back. Blood soaked through the man\'s clothes, staining it practically red entirely. The sever charm was a nice touch, and the burning hexes marked Borgin\'s hands, chest, and face. Malfoy smirked at the boy\'s talented effort. Lucius turned his wand back on the hoarse and practically dead man.

\"Avada Kedavra.\" and finally, the man died. Lucius turned to Colin, smirking. \"Where did you learn your technique, Mr. Creevey? I must say, it\'s quite good. A well-rounded torture method and good combination of spells without the easily available Cruciatus curse. Interesting.\"

Colin frowned and merely pointed behind Lucius, his anger not so hidden behind his hazel eyes. The elder Malfoy turned to look at what he was pointing, only to see one of the only people he didn\'t want to see enter the store. Her flowing black hair covered most of her face, and her long flowing robes trailed behind her much like a certain potions master. Colin\'s voice had an icy tone to it.

\"My torturer. She caught me last year, and tortured me for information on Harry. If it hadn\'t been for a surprise Order raid, I would have never been saved. I\'ve been training myself to get revenge, to show her what it was like. The sad thing, she only uses the Cruciatus for torture. I have learned how to flay a person and keep them alive. I\'ll finally get to test it!\" suddenly all hell broke loose as bodies flew over their heads.
--------

The Slytherin Prince and the Golden Boy walked away from the clothing shops, hands full of items to carry back to headquarters. They smiled to each other as they headed towards the Ice Cream shop. They sat down and waited for the others, ordering sundae while they passed a little time away. Draco seemed to be having trouble concentrating.

\"Draco? Is it the voices again?\" Draco nodded blankly, a headache already forming.

\"We\'ll give those guys a few more minutes before we leave a note with Fortescue to have them meet us back home. Can you manage that?\" Draco wasn\'t paying any attention now, and Harry started to worry a bit. \"Draco, what is it? Can you hear me? Draco!\"

*I found the brats! We will have them now! Where did Wormtail get to now?*

\"Wormtail...\" Draco muttered, but still loud enough that Harry heard.

\"Where?\" he spun around and started looking through the crowds, trying to spot the man. \"Draco, where is he?\"

*Ah, Lucius and... the boy. I remember that toy. He\'ll be fun to play with, as long our Lord will give me permission to have him.*

\"My father and... Colin in... Knockturn Alley.\" Draco managed between breaths. Severus and Io walked up quickly, both noticing the blonde\'s state.

\"What\'s wrong with him, Potter?\"

\"It\'s the voices. Wormtail is in Knockturn Alley sir, c\'mon!\"

The four started making their way there, wands hidden just under their robes. Harry carried his mate who slumped weakly against him. Draco was trying to keep his barriers up, but he was getting so tired trying to maintain them. Harry saw this, and pressed them closer together. To Harry, is was a simple show of support, but he didn\'t see the white light pass between them, connecting their magic. Snape, however, did. He had brought up the theory with the boys, that the reason both were so powerful was because neither had found their mates and linked with them yet. Usually, a mate\'s pull is so strong, that keeping away from one another was found to be impossible. Of course, since this was two of the wizarding world\'s most powerful, something like this was bound to happen. After Draco\'s inheritance, Harry\'s magic hadn\'t been unleashed, but instead, built up and stored within him. Now that Harry\'s own had come to pass, the same thing was happening to Draco. Both of their magics now started building up in the other person, and unless they bonded, their magic would grow un-hindered until their bodies die from the strain in containing it all.

They all stared as they alley was mostly empty, and only four people walked its streets. Wormtail huffed in the middle of two Death Eaters while following a very tall black haired woman. Harry raised his wand, aiming at the woman. She wouldn\'t get away from him this time. He had let her escape in the Department of Mysteries, but not this time. He was surprised when three other wands rose with his. Draco, Severus, and even Io aimed with him at the group. The Golden Boy nodded to the others just as the woman entered the shop.

\"REDUCTO!\" They all yelled in unison.

THANKS TO REVIEWERS!

Lady X~ Might be explained next chapter. I\'m working on, k? And yes, I will eventually have to reveal more about Io\'s and Ethan\'s past. That will be much fun! and Yes, it is pronounced \'eye-oh\'

sbkar~ I fixed that>.> yes, me and Sev need our rest. Three ours of sleep does not fucking cut it with me!

Narcissa Black~ Look closer, Harry can, but his is more of a Legilimency thing, while Draco\'s is just pure telepathy. He is going to lose that power, eventually, so now worries. It just has something to with his messed up magic. Oh yes, I don\'t think I will be going back to the Dursley family just yet, but I do have an idea.

Aisling~ No, Sirius just wants that Camera because of the sexy pictures of him and Remus.

tessa3~ I\'ve always wanted to do that >.>

Loki~ Yeah, the idea came to me in a dream... I didn\'t want to wake up that day, and now, I don\'t have an alarm clock anymore ;_; Draco\'s ability will be explained later, as will Io\'s changes. For now... enjoy next chapters small battle scene between DE, Dementors, and Harry\'s small team.

sharon~ For a split second, I\'m going to be a prick... \"PUNCTUATION MOTHAFUCKA, DO YOU USE IT!?\" Okay, sorry about that, but your message was a little difficult to read. I would like to say that I really do appreciate your observation, but than I also have to say it\'s our differences that are important. While you feel my author\'s notes may be a waste of time, and distracting from the reader who is here for what I write, and not me \'prattling on\', I feel much differently. My author\'s notes are there to either give them a little appreciation to the time and energy I spent making this, or to supply them with a reason as to why they may or may not get an update. It really just makes me feel a whole lot better knowing I can explain my reason for not having an update, and knowing that hopefully they\'ll understand. Thank you for commenting, and know I do appreciate comments like this.

RissSta~ Soon enough?
