Chapter 15: Last day.
Chapter 15: Last day.
Sarah sat in her bedroom with Carmen. They were both packing their things in to their trunks.
“This year was horrible.” Carmen sighed as she neatly packed her things.
“Yeah.” Sarah laughed. Sarah closed her trunk after she had packed all of her things away. She just couldn’t wait to be back home. She just wanted to have eak eak from everything for a while. Then she would come back next year.
“You know.” Carmen closed her trunk and sat next to Sarah on her bed. “It was good talking to you over the year. You are a good friend. Carmen gave Sarah a hug.
“Thanks. You are a good friend too.” Sarah smiled.
“I don’t know why we didn’t hang out more often.”
“We’re busy, we have things to do and often forget.”
“Yeah that’s right.” Carmen stood up. “Let’s go to breakfast. We’ll have to leave soon.”
“Ok, just let me put Adel in to her cage.”
“Sure.” Carmen walked over to her trunk and locked it. Sarah stood up and opened the owl’s cage.
“Hop in.” Sarah said to her owl. Adel flew on to Sarah’s arm and Sarah put her arm into the cage. Adel jumped off Sarah’s arm and on to her little perch. “Good.” Sarah closed her cage. “We can go now.”
“Good, come on.” Carmen walked over to the door. Sarah followed and they both left the bedroom and walked down to the common room. Sarah saw Draco sitting on the couch. When Draco saw the girls he stood up.
“Hi.” Draco waved.
“Hey Draco.” Sarah walked over to Draco and gave him a hug.
“The last day huh?” Draco said excitedly.
“Yep.”
“Dar Draco. Where was my hello?” Carmen pouted. Sarah laughed.
“Hi Carmen.”
“That’s better.” Carmen grinned. “Hello Draco.”
“Come on guys lets get something to eat.” Sarah grabbed them both by the arms and pulled them out of the common room. They walked up staircases and through hallways to the Great Hall. Students flooded through the double doors. Sarah, Draco and Carmen sat down at the Slytherin table. Once everyone had finally been seated food appeared on the table.
“Eat up. It’s our last big meal of the year.” Draco grabbed his knife and fork and ate up. Sarah and Carmen laughed and atey bey breakfast.
After breakfast had finished the food disappeared and everyone waited to head Dumbledore’s speech. Everyone looked up at the front of the hall and watched as Dumbledore stood up.
“We had just had out last mean of the year here at Hogwarts. I hope you all enjoyed it.” The students cheered. “It is this time of year once again when we say farewell to the 7th years. Who have finished their last year at Hogwarts. Would all the 7th years please rise.” All the 7th years stood up. “Now please cheer them as they exit the hall.” Dumbledore began to clap. Everyone in the hall joined in. the 7th years walked past the tables and out of that hall waving till they were out of view. “Your belongings are already on the train. YOU ARE ALL NOW OFFICIALLY DISMISSED.” The students erupted in cheers. “Please go out side where horse drawn carriages are waiting for you.” Everyone stood up and waked out of the hall. Sarah walked side by side with Draco and Carmen.
“Wegoingoing ho Car Carmen squealed.
“Yeah, but we wont be home for a few hours yet.” Sarah sighed.
“Yeah but still we’re traveling.””
“Yeah.” Sarah nodded.
“Come on, get into the carriage.” Draco stood at the door of a carriage. Sarah walked up to him. “Ladies first.” Draco motioned for them to go first.
“Thank you.” Sarah smiled and stepped onto the carriage with some help from Draco.
“Ta.” Carmen hopped in to. Draco got in and closed the door after him.
“Is it just me or is there no horses pulling this carriage??” Sarah asked curiously.
“Oh there are horses.” Carmen assured. “You just cant see them.”
“Oh.”
“Only people who have witnessed someone pass before will be able to see the horses.”
“That’s creepy.” Sarah shivered.
“Yeah.” Carmen nodded. The carriage began to move.
“Does anyone know what they look like?” Sarah wondered.
“Well there’s that Luna Lovegood Girl and I suppose there’s Potter after he saw Cedric-”
“Stop talking about Potter.” Draco spat.
“Ok.” Carmen closed her mouth. Sarah wondered why Draco got so angry at the mention of Harry’s name.
“Is Cedric the boy who died last year at the triwizard tournament?” Sarah asked.
“Yes.”
“Ok.” Sarah didn’t have anything else to talk about. They sat in silence till they arrived at Hogsmeade station. They got out of the horse carriage and walked over to the steam train. Sarah could see Hogwarts castle. She loved the place it was so beautiful, but the things that happened were not.
“Come on.” Carmen called.
“In a second.” Sarah looked at the castle once more and sighed. She wanted to leave it but then she didn’t want to leave it. She had an idea. She looked around and saw Hagrid standing at the front of the train. Sarah ran up to him. “Professor Hagrid.”
“Ye.” Hagrid looked down at the student.
“Can you do me a favor?” Sarah asked as she pulled put some paper and a muggle pen from her pocket.
“Wot is it?”
“Can you give these notes to Professor Snape and Professor Dumbledore?” Sarah quickly began to write.
Dear Professor Snape,
I forgot to say thank you before I left.
I know you might not care but thank you for helping me.
You are truly one great professor.
From Sarah Harrison
Sarah folded the letter and gave it to Hagrid then wrote another one.

You are a fabulous headmaster and I couldn’t
