Chapter 15

The holiday passed quickly, Mr. Weasley had taken the entire family to London in the new car. Mrs. Weasley had been very happy with the charms that the boys had put on it, and that it would help to keep Mr. Weasley out of trouble. The twins had prepared an extravagant fireworks display for Christmas night, and Mrs. Weasley had outdone herself with the food. Before they knew it they were headed to Kings Cross station, and back to Hogwarts.

Hagrid was waiting for the train, a smile on his large hairy face. He led them to the horseless carriages and rode to the castle with them. He told them about his holiday, and the time he had spent with the dragons that were at the school.

Professor Dumbledore and Professor Snape were waiting for them at the entrance. The two Professors led Ginny, Harry and Charlie to the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey was sitting in her office, \"I hope that you all had a happy holiday. I just wanted to talk to the three of you,\" she explained. \"It\'s going to take about a week to do the magic that changes your, um- donation...\" she said. \"What I mean is it will take a week after you donate for us to be able to implant the eggs into the willing witch. I\'m assuming that Miss. Weasle the the volunteer?\"

Ginny blushed and nodded her head at the medi-witch. \"Good, so as soon as the two gentlemen are ready, we will take their donations and begin the work.\"

Charlie looked over at Harry, and then glanced at Ginny. \"The sooner the better,\" Ginny told her. \"We\'ve all just had a wonderful, restful holiday and it would be the perfect time for us to start.\"

Madam Pomfrey looked at each of them, \"It\'s a simple, painless procedure, one quick spell for each of you,\" she explained. \"Miss. Weasley, you may go. I will contact you in about a week when we are ready for your part of the procedure.\"

Ginny got up from her chair and kissed Harry and her brother on the cheek. \"I\'ll see the both of you later,\" she told them, then walked out of the hospital wing.

About a week later, Ginny was called up to the hospital wing. She came back smiling and hugged Harry as soon as she saw him. \"I\'m all finished,\" she whispered frantically. \"I have to go and see Madam Pomfrey every few weeks, but around the end of September or the beginning of October, you and Charlie will be parents.\"

Harry hugged her, \"Thank you, Ginny. There is nothing that I can do to repay you for what you\'re doing for us.\"

\"You just make my brother happy, and come to all the family gatherings and we\'ll call it even,\" she said, squeezing his hand. \"Oh yeah, I want you and Charlie there when the baby is born. I\'m not its mother, and it\'s going to need both of you there. Madam Pomfrey wouldn\'t tell me who the mother is, she said that she would tell us only after the baby was born.\"

Harry pulled her up from the couch and toward the portrait hole. \"Let\'s go tell Charlie, he\'ll be excited.\"

Three weeks later, Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione were sitting in the three broomsticks having a butterbeer, when the screams began. Harry jumped up from the table and ran to the door. After looking out, he ran back to the table. \"Hermione, Ron and I are going to lead you and Ginny over to Honeydukes, you have to get her through the tunnel, back to the school. It\'s too dangerous for her to be here. Then get Professor Dumbledore, tell him that Death Eaters are attacking Hogsmeade. Ron and I will get as many students into the tunnel as we can. See if someone can contact the twins, we could use their help.\" He pulled Ginny behind him and headed for the door.

Ron turned around before Harry could open the door, \"Hogwarts students, take out your wands and get to Honeydukes. There is a tunnel there, in the basement, it will get you back to the school safely. Any DA members that are here, please help the younger students to get there. Watch your backs, the Death Eaters are attacking Hogsmeade.\"

Madam Rosmerta stepped from behind the bar, \"Don\'t go out the front door, There\'s an alley that is only accessible from the stores. It will be much safer for you to go that way. I\'ll floo Houkesukes and tell them to expect a large number of students.\" She turned and threw a pinch of powder into the flames, and stuck her head in, a few seconds later she was back. \"They\'ll be waiting at the back door to lead you to the basement. I\'ll pull as many students from the street as I can.\" She turned to Hermione, \"When you get to the school, send help.\" Hermione nodded her head , then she and Ginny followed the witch out the back door.

Harry stepped out the front door of the three broomsticks and started shooting stunning spells at every Death Eater he could see. Ron stepped out behind him and began shooting his own spells, motioning at the Hogwarts students that he could see. He pushed a few toward the door of the pub they had just exited, as others students saw him and Harry they headed toward them.

Harry walked forward, heading toward the shrieking shack. Ron lost sight of him, and headed in the other direction, sending any students that he saw toward the three broomsticks.

Harry hexed his way to the end of the street, then turned and began walking back the way he came, ducking spells and shooting as many Death Eaters as he could. He heard a pop behind him and spun around.

\"Well, Potter, my master wants us to bring you to him alive,\" the small man in black told him.

\"I don\'t think so, Wormtail. I\'ll never go with you willingly,\" Harry spat. \"I should have let Sirius and Remus kill you in my third year.\"
