Save Each Other

Chapter 14: Heroine

Molly is tending to Roxy back at the Burrow in an upstairs bedroom. She is making up the room as everyone waits for Roxy to wake up after rescuing Ginny and then collapsing after her attack on Victor Krum.

"Poor thing" said Molly as she sat down beside Roxy's bed and grabbed her hand. "I don't know how I can ever thank you enough for saving my baby girl". "Mrs. Weasley" asked Roxy as she slowly opening her eyes. "Yes dear" said molly. "What happened?" asked Roxy. "Well, you collapsed, from shock and changing into wolf form before your arm was ready for it" answered Molly. "Your arm is back in the sling, it should be better in a couple of weeks. Roxy I want you to know how thankful I am, that you risked your life to save my daughter". "Your welcome" replied Roxy looking at the older woman. "Your a heroine Roxy" added Molly. "Now dear, I want you to rest for now and I'll be back in a bit to get you for supper".

*Supper Time*

Roxy is asleep in her room still. Knock Knock. "Roxy" asks Draco as he walks into her room. "Rox" he says again giving her a gentle nudge. "Hmmm?" mumbles Roxy as she slowly awakes. "It's time to eat" answers Draco as Roxy stretches. "What time is it?" she asks. "It's about seven. How are you feeling Rox?" asks Draco. "Well like I was run over by quidditch players, but honestly I don't think that's the real thing you want to ask me. You have questions and want answers about what was in the memory" replied Roxy. "Only if you want me to ask, but how about eating something" suggested Draco, helping her up.

*Downstairs*

In the kitchen everyone has sat down for a feast that Molly has prepared to thank Roxy for her heroism and to start to make amends. "Hey, the little heroine is up" said Sirius as Draco and Roxy walked in. "Hey everyone" said Roxy blushing at Sirius's words. "How are you feeling dear" asked Molly as she brought Roxy a plate of food. "Pretty good, the arm still hurts a bit, but other than that, I feel good" Roxy answered her. "That's good dear" said Molly smiling. "Glad you're feeling better Roxy" said Ron. "Agreed it was weird with our fearless leader down for the count" agreed Fred. While George nodded his head in agreement. "Awww thanks guys, but couldn't have done it without your help" replied Roxy with a small laugh.

As she took a drink of water she noticed that one person was missing. "Where's Lupin?" asked Roxy. "Oh he's off getting something for you" said Sirius. "Should be back any minute now". "Oh okay" said Roxy who couldn't help noticing the secretive looks everyone seemed to pass. "Guys what's with the looks" asked Roxy. "Oh nothing" replied Draco with a grin. "Uh-huh" answered Roxy not thoroughly convinced but finishing herself starving all of a sudden, so she chooses to drop the questioning for now.

*A Little While Later*

"I'm back" called Lupin from the hallway. "Someone cover Roxy's eye. Oh and her ears, so she can't cheat" he called from outside the kitchen. "Lupin. Why?" asked Roxy as Ron covered her eyes with his hands. "It's a surprise so just corporate young lady" called Lupin with amusement in his voice. "Okay oaky okay" said Roxy laughing and raising her good right arm, while Draco covered her ears.

While she sat there unable to see or hear, she could feel a leak of memories start to drip through the walls she had built against them. She forced a smile, that to everyone seemed genuine, but on the inside alarms were going off and she barley suppressed a shudder. Then she reminded herself that neither Ron nor Draco would hurt her…..ever. Her inner scolding was interrupted by a renewal of sight and sound and everyone shouting surprise Roxy.

Roxy's eyes snapped open and a true smile came over her face as she caught sight of her best friend Liora. "Ra-Ra, I'm back!" yelled Liora as she ran to Roxy for a hug. "Li-Li!" yelled Roxy meeting her best friend halfway. "Are you staying for good?" asked Roxy. "Yes, Lupin came and said I could stay forever, and I can even go to Hogwarts in a couple weeks with you" exclaimed Liora with joy. "I do believe this calls for celebration" said Sirius as he brought out Butterbeer and other drinks. So everyone introduced themselves and began to get to know Liora. Everyone that tis except Hermione who said hello and Harry who stayed only to talk to Sirius, before excusing himself saying he was worn out and had a sight headache. Or so that's what he wanted everyone to believe.
