Ch 14

And for the moment you've all been waiting for. Class!

Anita stood from the front of the room and watched the students float in. Of course her daughter entered with that Draco Malfoy, after flirting shamelessly with him at breakfast. She watched as Harry and his friend entered and unfortunately they obviously slipped away from the red-headed boy. Well, I guess stealth will be added in for his training.

Finally all the students were in. "Good Morning. I'm Anita Blake and I'm here to be your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Alright, so...you're in a duel, and your wand gets taken from you...What do you do..." Anita paused to look at her class list, "Longbottom."

A chubbyish boy with dirt brown hair quivered, "Um...I-I dunno, Professor..."

She rolled her eyes, okay, moving on. "I want a volunteer." A number of hands went up. "Malfoy..."

Draco Malfoy sauntered over to her looking bored but she could tell he was interested. "Alright, you and me are in a dual, you have disarmed me. But you're still throwing spells. Now I want you to use the nastiest spells that you know that are legal and wont permanently hurt me. Start throwing them."

Without a seconds delay, Draco Malfoy started to throw spells at Anita, she dodged repeatedly and took cover behind her desk for a second before she grabbed his wand arm and kicked him behind the ankle. With a pained cry Draco Malfoy was down and his wand was in Anita's hand.

With that Anita put out her hand and helped her student to his feet. She turned to the class, "I want to know, has anyone in this room ever learned to physically defend their selves?"

None of the students raised their hands. Anita shook her head in disbelief, "You should know how." And with that she did the most amazing thing(in the students opinion of course), she took off her blazer and with that began to explain every single scar she had received.

"When you're in a life or death situation, sometimes you wont have the time to think of a spell to use or the time to say it. Vampires and lycanthropes move at incredibly fast speeds and are insanely strong. Don't ever try to arm wrestle any of these creatures. I find that it shortens a person's life expectancy."

"I'm going to train you all to use basic muggle weaponry," with that Anita took her browning out of her desk drawer. "This is a gun, and all you have to do with this is point and pull the trigger. Assuming of course that the gun is loaded. Even the dumbest person can do that. I will also train you all to physically defend your selves. I know that the British Wizarding world is at war, and I highly doubt you'll ever find yourselves facing off with a Vampire. However, this is defense against the dark arts. Vampires and lycanthropes are considered dark. And they are, no matter what anyone tells you. Vampires are not just people with fangs. And what if a lycanthrope is in fact also a serial killer? I will also be teaching you to defend your selves against these dark creatures. Now go enjoy the rest of this period. Lanna, Ms. Granger, and Mr. Potter please stay behind."

With that the class dissipated through the door chattering. Anita looked down at the remaining students to only find an extra one. Draco Malfoy's sleeve was being held by Lanna's hand. She gave her daughter a questioning look only to receive a smile.

"Alright, if my daughter trusts you...However, Mr. Malfoy...if you betray mine or my daughter's trust...I'll hunt you down like any of the vampires I've executed."

With that Malfoy's eyes widened considerably, and jerked his head in a nod.

"Edward, you can come out now."

With that a man with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes that seemed to twinkle walked into the room from behind the teacher's door. "Hello, kiddies, ready to learn to use the big guns? And you, little girl, have you been keeping up with your training?"

Lanna rolled her eyes, "Yes, Edward. By the way have talked to Peter recently?"

Edward grinned, "Yes, I have. Just because I assassinate vampires and lycanthropes doesn't mean I stop talking to my stepson."

Lanna shrugged, "He worries sometimes."

Hermione made a noise, "What do you mean...assassinate?"

Edward looked her over, "Well, I'm a professional hit-man."
