Chapter 11

Finally, the day for their trip came. Harry had heard enough gripe from Ali so while they waited to leave he fixed the wards so they had to go outside the house when they actually left. He made it so only they could apparate beyond the wards and everyone else had to be portkeyed in. They all were packing weapons to fight with if it came to that. They all apparated to the back entrance if their Order contacts’ shop and went in cautiously and on guard because if Death Eaters controlled the bank and the ministry you couldn’t be sure what they controlled.

As they entered the dark storage room they walked slowly to the front. When they entered into the front of the building they found themselves in the center of a jokester/prankster/wizard’s dream world. As they moved forward spreading out to find their contacts whom Harry knew well it appeared from what she had learned. He had helped them get their business started actually. As well as being full of WWW joke objects the store was also full of boxes flying everywhere. Packing and unpacking themselves, putting themselves away or throwing themselves away whatever they had to do they did.

Finally they noticed the two contacts all but Bri of course that is. Bri was busy watching their backs when she turned around at hearing some deep laughter and ran right into a tall, messy red-headed, blue-eyed young man.
As she was about to fall he grabbed her by the upper arms holding her up so she wouldn’t fall. As Bri looked on the man, she heard another red whom appeared to be his twin but with a bit longer hair yelled, “Whoa Fred come over here!”

All Bri could wonder was, “Oh crap! Not now,” as she felt an all to familiar flutter in her gut. As the man now known as Fred yelled back, “Alright, coming!”

When he turned to her she faced him dead on determined not to show how bothered he made her and said the code. He watched her closely as if searching her soul and then smiled and said, “Alright, come on let’s get to the others and get this…what is it? Ball rolling?”

When they reached his twin they introduced themselves as friends of Harry’s by the names of George and Fred. They seemed a bit angry at Draco but got over it with a few words from Harry and Hermione. Harry got updated on everyone in the Weasley family and at Hogwarts, what was going on with the Order all over too.

When they gave Bri and the others their disguises they found the disguises were actually dragon hide clothes transfigured to look like bits of two muggle outfits. The clothes looked and felt like muggle clothes but really weren’t. Their magical ability was to change the appearance of the person wearing them to the outside world, which was a good thing in situations like the one the group was planning. To the magical world the four looked as if they wore wizarding robes, to muggles they looked like young people who had found their parents’ old clothes and liked them.

Hermione got the 60’s shirt while Ali got the skirt. Draco got a pair of pants and Harry got a 60’s coat vest. Bri being from the United States had to explain to Draco what the clothes were. Also because she was from the U.S. instead of England knew the look well and personally liked it. Being a personal fan of the look she quickly changed her jeans and T to match the others into a peasant shirt and bell bottoms.

Their clothes as well as their physical appearances changed while wearing these clothes. Harry now looked like a blonde, blue-eyed, athletic type and Draco was a brunette and brown-eyed young man with a swimmer’s physique. Ali was a black haired, elfish looking girl with hazel eyes while Hermione was a blonde with green eyes. Bri could sense the twin named Fred watching her so she tried to act like business as usual.

When she turned to face them she said, “If you hear any commotion stay back. Unless its dire. I hope you two can tell the difference. I’ve heard your jokesters, well this isn’t funny this is life, you jump in when needed not before. We will be going in and getting out with as little mess as possible, we don’t need anyone tipping the enemy up. Got it?”

They looked affronted but agreed and as the group of five left with bags of treats to use as a cover if asked why they were there alone they were on their way. As the group passed Ollivander’s on the way Ali suddenly froze looking in the window at the wand on display. She turned to the others and said, “We have to go in. I don’t know what it is, but we have to go in.”

As they entered the dark and dusty building it looked as if it had been abandoned. It was eerily quiet when suddenly a flash of light came flying at them. Which Bri froze in mid flight and with a hand movement made hit a side wall. In the flash and explosion they saw an old man running. Hermione put a bind on him and brought him to them. Bri searched his mind and found the man to be the real Ollivander who was an Order member. So, she had Harry show himself to Ollivander who was now muted but unbound. When Ollivander saw one of the five was Harry Potter after getting conformation from seeing the scar because you can copy a look but not a scar by magic he signaled he would help them.

When he was unmuted he said in a very weak voice, “Let’s go into the back room and talk,” with this he turned to a door none had ever seen and led them into a comfy fireplace lit room with a loveseat, small couch, and a couple of chairs around a small coffee table which connected to other rooms they could just see. As they sat Harry got right to the point asking the one question that had been going through his mind since he had learned of it, “Why is Voldemort looking for a wandmaker like you and Gregorovitch, Mr. Ollivander?”

“Its probably because he’s looking for the Elder Wand…”

“The What Wand?” Draco blurted before he could stop himself.

“The Elder Wand, is a legend…and we all know how he likes powerful legends that could be truth and many think it is…well like a part of a legend really.”

“What legend?"

“The legend of the Deathly Hallows.”

“Deathly Hallow, what are they?”

“Well, legend has the Deathly Hallows are actually where Grindelwald’s symbol comes from…It’s the symbol of the Deathly Hallows believers…”

“But what are they?”

“I assume you all know the ‘Tale of the Three Brothers’?”

Bri snarked, “You know what they say about assuming.”

“Bri!” Hermione screeched shocked Bri was being rude at a time like this.

“What?”

Ali and Harry replied ‘no’ but Draco and Hermione nodded in agreement to Mr. Ollivander’s asked question. So, once seeing this Ollivander was quite disappointed that the legends were dying out in the younger generations. He was going to go get an old book from the shelves on a far wall, but before he could Hermione said she had a book with the story in it. So, he asked her to look at it for a moment once he saw it was the one he wanted he told her to read it for everyone. While she read the story Draco went out to get the wand Ali had been eyeing.
When Hermione reached the point in the story where Death spoke to the brothers Harry broke in with, “Sorry but Death spoke to them?”

“It’s a fairy tale Harry.”

“Sounds more like a nightmare to me,” Bri replied but with a look from Hermione shrugged and said sorry.
Hermione replied to Harry and Bri, “Fairy tales aren’t all happy and good, but they’re tales or fables still.”
“Right, sorry, go on,” Harry said.

“…And Death spoke to them. He was angry that he had been cheated out of three new victims, for travelers usually drowned in the river at this time of year. But Death was cunning. He pretended to congratulate the three brothers upon their magic, and said that each had earned a prize for having been clever enough to evade him.

So, the oldest brother who was a combative man asked for a wand more powerful than any in existence: a wand that must always win duels for its owner, a wand worthy of a wizard who had conquered Death! So Death crossed to an elder tree on the banks of the river, fashioned a wand from a branch that hung there, and gave it to the oldest brother.

Then the second brother, who was an arrogant man decided that he wanted to humiliate Death still further and asked for the power to recall others from Death. So, Death picked up a stone from the riverbank and gave it to the second brother and told him that the stone would have the power to bring back the dead.

And then Death asked the third and youngest brother what he would like. The youngest brother was the humblest and also the wisest of the brothers, and he did not trust Death. So, he asked for something that would enable him to go forth from that place without being followed by Death. And Death most unwillingly handed over his own Cloak of Invisibility. Then Death stood aside and allowed the three brothers to continue on their way, talking with wonder of the adventure they had had and admiring Death’s gifts.

In due course the brothers separated each for his destinations. The first brother traveled on for a week or more and reaching a distant village sought out a fellow wizard with whom he had a quarrel. Naturally, with the Elder Wand as his weapon he couldn’t fail to win the duel that followed. Leaving his enemy dead upon the floor, the oldest brother proceeded to an inn where he boasted loudly of the powerful wand he had snatched from Death himself and of how it made him invincible. That very night another wizard crept upon the oldest brother as he lay, wine-sodden upon his bed. The thief took the wand and for good measure slit the oldest brother’s throat. And so Death took the first brother for his own.

Meanwhile, the second brother journeyed back home and lived alone. Here he took out the stone watching it closely until he saw the girl he had wanted to marry until her untimely death. He brought her back but she was sad and cold separated from him as by a veil. Though she had returned to the mortal world she didn’t truly belong there and suffered. Finally, the second brother driven mad with hopeless longing killed himself so as to truly join her. And so Death took the second brother for his own.

But though Death searched for the third brother for many years he was never able to find him. It was only when he had attained a great age that the youngest brother finally took off the Cloak of Invisibility and gave it to his son. And then he greeted Death as an old friend and went with him gladly and as equals they departed this life.”

“So what have we learned from this story today children?...answer…Death gets his man so you better live life humble and honest if you want to live long and prosper or you’ll go ugly and early,” Bri replied.

While Ollivander on the other hand let them have time to soak it all in, but when he spoke again picking up a quill from a packed table at his elbow and pulled a torn piece of paper from between more books.

He said, “As blunt as your friend is, she’s right. But that is not the lesson for today…”

“The Elder Wand,” he said as he drew a straight vertical line upon it, “The Resurrection Stone,” he added a circle on top of the line, “The Cloak of Invisibility,” he finished enclosing both line and circle in a triangle to make the symbol that intrigued Hermione so much. “Together, the Deathly Hallows.”

“But this is a fairy tale there’s no mention of the Deathly Hallows.”

“Of course not, but throughout time. They are mentioned. The Elder Wand is the one that’s easily traced because of the way in which it passes from hand to hand.”

“Which is what?”

“Which is that the possessor of the wand must capture it from its previous owner if he is to be truly master of it. Surely you have heard of the way the wand came to Egbert the Egregious after his slaughter of Emeric the Evil and so on…”

“Mr. Ollivander, does the Peverell family have anything to do with the Deathly Hallows?”

“Peverell?” Harry had heard that name before but couldn’t locate it.

“I thought you were misleading me young woman. The Peverells have everything – everything to do with the Hallows!”

“Who are they?” Harry asked.

“That was the name on the grave with the mark on it in Godric’s Hollow…Ignotus Peverell!”

“Exactly! The sign of the Deathly Hallows on Ignotus’s grave is conclusive proof!” said Ollivander.

“Of what?”

“Why that the three brothers in the story were actually the three Peverell brothers; Antioch, Cadmus, and Ignotus. That they were the original owners of the Hallows!” said Ollivander.

While Harry and Hermione started to discuss with each other what they had just learned and Bri got up pacing off energy Draco got Ollivander’s attention.

“Mr. Ollivander, my friend here Miss VanLint needs a wand to use could you help us find one for her?”

“Of course, Mr. Malfoy. Miss VanLint, I was wondering when I would see you here even with your family’s fortune of squibbery.”

‘Thank you, Mr. Ollivander, but I think I’ve found one that matches me. This one…” and she held out the wand from the window.

“That one? You really think so? Well try it out.”

When Ali tried focusing her power into the wand and a bright flash of light blue light and singing was seen and heard. It only lasted a moment but with that it was known right off that this wand was for her.

“Oh My Merlin!” Ollivander said.

“What?” Ali asked confused.

“I never thought…in my long life that…”

“That what!?!” Bri broke in getting frustrated and antsy to be out and going.

“That anyone would ever need or ever use that wand. The wand of Rowena Ravenclaw herself.”

“What!”

“Whoa!”

“Your joking right!?!”

“Holy Fucking Merlin!”

“Say again?”

Five voices yelled.

“Okay, okay this is all nice to know and we can discuss it all after we’re done with out other thing. We got to go,” said Bri trying to get everyone focused.

Everyone agreed saying quick goodbyes to Ollivander thanking him for his help. Though before they left Ollivander stopped Harry saying, “Harry, if you need any help at all just call. You may be young but you carry a heavy burden no one should and we of the Order wish to help all we can.”

“Thank you, Ollivander. I will, don’t worry?”

After they prepared to go again and left for the bank. Outside the bank they found themselves in front of two ugly looking men with tattooed faces instead of two goblins. Before they knew what was going on the men had fired two swirling balls of what seemed to be electricity at them Bri stepped in front of the group holding both hands up and the balls flew back at the men and struck them in their chests. They literally blew up right in front of the teens.

As they entered they quickly walked to a goblin with a nametag which was all thanks to the Death Eaters taking over with the name Deeknam who Harry had been informed by letter was Griphook’s second-in-command and in on the plan. They asked to go over their estate papers and were taken into a far room. Once their the goblin quickly took a few drops of blood to prove they were who they said they were. Once this was proven he opened a hidden doorway telling them to follow all the way down and once they reached the bottom to turn left. Harry’s vault was the first cave-like entrance and Ali’s was the fifth. He warned them all that an ancient and blinded dragon was guardian of these vaults and would only recognize then and those of true hearts and close to them by their magical signatures. Though Death Eaters were always down there trying to get into the vaults. The Death Eaters Deeknam said had people down there a lot and the dragon was now tied up, where as he used to be able to roam that whole area and was let out under magical cover to fly every once in a while after a feeding of course.
They thanked him and proceeded slowly on their way down. It seemed like it only took a few seconds to reach the bottom floor because their adrenaline was running so high. Once at the bottom they took their cues from Bri. She motioned that they should split up and follow her lead. Turning left Bri motioned for them to stop and be silent while she went on ahead to check things out.

Bri’s point of view on getting to bank vaults…

The moment we left the room letting the copies I and Harry created follow Deeknam I was on high alert as we began our trip down. Once we reached the bottom floor I took command without actually thinking about it. I just went into Hunter mode. I first motioned for Draco to go with Ali while Hermione would go with Harry. I didn’t do this because they were couples, though that’s what many would think. I did it because I knew they were the perfect teams together. If I had thought they were better another way I would have done it that way. Fighting so you could survive didn’t care if you were a couple or not. It mattered if you knew how to fight as a team as well as separately at the same time. I told them silently that I would go first to check it out and for them to be on alert.

As I entered the hall of cave-like vaults I could see there were about four or five Death Eaters there. I mentally shook myself and prepared myself to fight. As one masked clown turned at the sound of my arrival because I made sure to announce myself well. I didn’t try to hide, I just walked right in. I froze him to his spot with a slight movement of my hand. When his pal turned to him hearing the slight squeak he made after walking towards me I threw them both at the wall with a wave of my hand. I called quietly to the others, but I wasn’t quite quiet enough I guess or the two idiots hitting the wall made more noise than I thought. I kicked myself because I knew better, but I didn’t have to much time for this because as my group rushed in so did the enemy. I must say I was proud of the team they instantly went into fight mode like they needed too.
Draco shot off a Reducto at the wall making that part of the wall explode which in turn with the debris falling knocked a few of the Death Eaters out. Hermione off a full-body bind while Harry stunned a few in rapid succession. As we headed on more appeared. Yelling out commands we prepared to stand and fight. I think we surprised the Death Eaters because we just stood there in fighting stances instead of throwing spells, which helped us in the long run because while they stood shocked we began our assault.

All I know really is I began punching and kicking and flipping before even one of the enemy could throw off a spell. I watched out of the corner of my eyes as the others fought. I had just knocked one guy out and did a fast back walkover out of the way. As I came to a standing position I could see an open area and so I signaled to the others. They knocked out their opponents out and rushed after me. As we reached the finally stop before the vaults I stopped abruptly so much that they all knocked into me.

I could hear Draco yell, “What the Hell Bri! We got enemies all around!”

“Shut up, Draco! Harry? Ali? Get your asses over here!”

“What? Why?” they asked.

As they began to move forward something moved slightly in the shadows. Just then we all saw a flash of yellow-gold about the size of a boulder but completely around with a black center with a slight haze to it. Just then a huge lizard like head rose up above us. We all stood very still as the now awake dragon moved to a crouching position and tried to move forward. We heard huge chains rattling as the dragon’s warm breath fell on us. The dragon sniffed the air while it rumbled deep in its body and we felt ourselves moving involuntarily with the force of the of the inhalation and exhalation. Suddenly the dragon roared or what I guessed was a roar and spread it wings as far as it could and two flashes of light appeared in two different spots. I told Harry and the others to go on and I would watch their backs. I really didn’t want to be left alone with a blind and chained up and probably very pissed off dragon. “Hell, I am love dangerous animals but it doesn’t mean I’m psychopathic. This is a damn dragon were talking about,” I thought. But this thought left my mind as I heard more and more Death Eaters showing up and coming after us.

I didn’t want to turn my back to the dragon because of all the things I’d seen and fought as a Hunter I’d never dealt with a live dragon, a live and very pissed dragon. I was literally afraid of the thing, but knew I had to protect the others. So, hoping what Deeknam had said about those being true of heart being safe from the dragon was true I did turn my back on the dragon. It was either protect them or myself and I knew the good of this world depended on Harry defeating Voldemort. My life compared to Harry’s destiny didn’t matter. Not in the grand design of things. So with this thought plus a pray to any god or gods or whatever out there I turned to face the oncoming Death Eaters. But as I prepared to throw a kick out from behind the wall I hid behind a hand caught me leg and I fell to the floor staring at Fred and his brother.

“What the Bloody Hell are you thinking, Woman!?!” Fred yelled.

“Oh I don’t know…that I was hoping some red headed jokester could use I kick to the head…Oh just my luck I found you.”

“Ha ha, how do American men not fall for that so warm wit of yours, my dear?”

“Oh I don’t know I guess just lucky I guess,” I growled as I scissor kicked my legs and flipped out of his hold.
“What the Hell are you two doing here anyway?”

“Charlie, our brother that deals with dragons, just contacted us and told us Bill and his mentor from training just told him about the dragon that guards the vaults,” George replied.

I smirked and snarked, “Oh so that’s what the 50 foot lizard behind us is?”

“Will you shut it! That’s a blind Norwegian Ridgeback!” Fred growled.

“Oh really? Can it speak Norwegian then, I’ve always wanted to learn?”

“Would you two quit already? We have a ticked off dragon and Death Eaters breathing down our backs in more ways than one,” George yelled.

Right at that moment Fred dived at me while George ducked. All I really noticed before my back was on the ground and the air knocked out of me was a huge stream of fire coming at us from behind where the dragon was and Death Eaters shooting off spells while running at us. As I watched the spells bounce right off the dragon’s hide or be completely stopped by the fire that engulfed them I could also see Death Eaters as well as men and a few women whom I recognized as either vampires or demons of some kind or other being roasted alive. As I watched from my prone position beneath Fred and George who had ducked to protect Fred and me I could spot two supernova bright flashes of light shoot out of the two vaults that must have been Harry and Ali’s. One red, the other blue.

Harry’s vault, Harry’s point of view…

As I saw the two flashes of light I ran with Hermione at my side and Ali and Draco right behind. As we ran down the long hall we kept looking from time to time to see if we saw doorways. As we got closer and closer I slowed down until I finally reached a cave-like doorway with what looked like an old worn-out wooden door. Engraved into the door was the name Gryffindor. I stood stunned. I could hear Hermione as if she was far away telling the others to go on and then the sound of running feet again. I could barely hear the yelling coming from where we had just left Bri with the dragon and oncoming Death Eaters. I hadn’t wanted to leave her, but she had made us with one look of ‘you don’t move your asses I’m kicking them from here to the Underworld and back’. I was tuning everything out, but I couldn’t stop it.

I finally felt Hermione touch my arm and say calmly, “Harry, open it.”

Before I could cling to the fear I felt within me. I felt a surge of complete and utter joy and rush of courage and confidence come over me. Before these new feelings could leave me I stepped forward and touched the door. Finally feeling as if I truly belonged somewhere. The door swung open and the cave lit itself. There were two rows of now lit torches and as we stepped in more and more lit leading the way.

We followed the torches in the cave hall to yet another door. This time when I touched the door and it swung open it opened to a room full of treasures and tomes no one had seen in centuries. As we stepped inside the lit torches’ flames rose to the ceiling as a blast of energy and magic engulfed me.

I could feel the power that had lain dormant in me surge to life. It coursed through me until I felt my body burning from the inside out, on fire but I wasn’t afraid at all. I could hear Hermione gasp and yelling at me if I was alright. All I could do was smile at her…

Hermione’s point of view, Harry’s vault…

As I ran beside Harry with Ali and Draco right behind us I still couldn’t believe all I had learned about Harry these past months. I couldn’t believe how the 11 year old, shy, too skinny boy who hadn’t even known of his own fame due to the tragedy he had no control over. I couldn’t believe the man he’d grown into. How he had grown into the most powerful wizard of all time with a destiny to destroy the darkest evil the world knew. Suddenly he began to slow down, I only noticed from the years I had spent going on adventures if you could call them that with him.

“He must sense Gryffindor’s cave,” I thought.

When he finally stopped in front of a huge wooden door in the cave-like entrance I turned to the others and told them to go on. I could see Harry was stunned into not moving. I knew this was a huge moment for him, but he had to do this so I stepped up to him. Touching his arm I calmly or as calmly as I could at this highly stressful and exciting moment said, “Harry, open it.”

He stood there with a look of fear on his face, but as quickly it came to his face a look of complete joy and confidence came over him and he stepped forward to touch the door. As the door swung open two rows of lit torches were set aflame. As I stepped through with Harry and as we began walking through the cave more and more torches were lit. Finally we came to another door and Harry opened it. This door swung open too, to a room full of ancient treasures and books that the world magical and muggle both hadn’t seen in centuries.

As we stepped into the room more torches blazed almost to the ceiling and a surge of very warm, strong wind came at us. It engulfed Harry and before I could do anything to help him I felt a barrier rise between us almost. Before I could do or say anything else there was a flash of bright, deep red light throughout the room. As I watched him in this surge of power I could see a red outline of a phoenix on Harry’s left hip.

I knew of the tattoos he had seeing as in our heavier make out sessions he had lost his shirt, plus he usually took the illusionment off around me a lot more now. I knew of his tattoo honoring the Marauders located near his heart on his chest because he had shown it to me one night as we sat around the tent. “Well, more like he had lost it yet again in one of our heavier sessions but it had been the first time his illusionment had fallen so I was surprised and asked about it and he told me,” I thought. This thought led to me thinking back on that night in the tent a few days before we had to leave and get to Ali’s because of her bind breaking...

“…It had been a long day and we were both tired. We had agreed that we would stop researching for the night earlier than usual and Harry would make us both a romantic dinner. Harry had transfigured part of the tent into a little living room with a fireplace so we wouldn’t have to be out by a fire. We had just finished our Chinese dinner and were settling down on the little couch in front of the fire to relax for the night. I had just picked up a book to read when Harry pulled it out of my hands, read the title and smirked at me. He had recently found out my secret pleasure of reading romance, smutty novels.

He smirked at me with a twinkle in his eye I had come to know well. I had even given it a name, it was the I can do better than that book look. Before I could do anything he had pulled me to him and proceeded to kiss me senseless, but I’m a combative girl I’m not to be outdone. Thus I began my own counterattack, which proceeded to heavy passion filled kisses and lots and lots of touching with a few articles of clothing being lost. I had just thrown his shirt off into the tent somewhere and was running my hand down his chest feeling the sweat our heat plus the fire were creating. He was shivering at my touch, I felt pretty proud of myself. Just then I felt something slip, something magical and my eyes which had been shut absorbing the feeling shot open.

My hand was over his chest and right there staring back at me was a tattoo, but not just any tattoo but one of the most intricate and touching tattoos I had ever seen. I didn’t like men or women for that matter with their whole bodies covered in tattoos, but one or two was fine. This tattoo though if I had to grade and rate it would be an A+ and top ratings.

Harry sensing I was out of the mood looked down at me from his place covering me. When he saw where my eyes were fixed he sat up back and looked too.

I could hear him mutter a ‘Damn’ but my mind was caught. I reached forward to lightly trace the tattoo and heard him gasp at my light touch.

The only thing I could say was, ‘Its beautiful, Harry.’

‘Thank you, Mione,’ was my reply.

And with that the floodgates to my inquisitive mind were opened and questions flew.

‘Where’d you get it? When’d you get it? I know why, I can tell...’

My next words were punctuated by me tracing each part of the tattoo itself in its entirety, ‘Your parents are the stag head with the lilies wrapped around the antlers. The dog head is for Sirius and the moon their all held in is for Remus, right? The Marauders, together…always, right?’

All Harry could seem to do was shiver at my touch and the shock that I was so touched by it, almost as much as he was. All he said to me was, ‘Yeah, that’s them…Do you really want to know when and where Hermione?’

‘Only if you want to tell me, if not that’s fine,” I said finally looking up at him with a smile.

‘Merlin, how I loved this man before me!’ I kept thinking as I sat and listened to him explain to me how he had gotten it at a muggle tattoo parlor in London with Ali early on and then he proceeded to tell and show me that he had yet another tattoo on his left hip. He hadn’t told me why he got it but I already told him I knew so we left it at that.

For the rest of the night we sat and talked about the Marauders and reconnected even more as friends…”

I had seen the phoenix before but I had thought it just another tattoo probably in honor of Dumbledore, but now I knew better. It was a unconscious urging to identify himself with his element.

As the energy continued to surge I began to worry if he was okay. So before I could stop myself I yelled over to him if he was alright and as an answer I just received a smile. Finally, when the magic surge dispelled and the light faded Harry stood in the middle of the room undisturbed. I ran to his side checking him over for burns or something until laughing at my worry Harry wrapped his arms around me saying, “Mione, I’m fine. I’m more than fine…I’m great!”

I huffed and replied, “Well, I’m glad for you. Now if you’re done scaring me we should get back to the others. There’s a dragon back there, Harry James Potter.”

“Its Potter-Black. And yes dear, but we’ll go in a moment. I need to get something from here. Look around if you want, oh if you see anything that could help us grab it. I trust your judgment, Luv.”

So, as Harry stepped over to the far wall I shook my head in what my dad would call my mom’s ‘oh you silly man’ way and went over to a long row of books that had caught my eye when I first came in. As I was looking over the books I found a couple that could help us with the Deathly Hallows and the rest of the Horcruxes possibly. As I was turning to go onto the next shelf something caught my eye on the opposite wall on another shelf.

When I was standing in front of the shelf and saw what the object was all I felt was as if I going to collapse from complete and utter shock.

“Oh My Merlin,” I kept thinking, “Lily’s journal!”

Before I could stop myself I had grabbed the journal and begun reading it. Then I saw another journal, that looked like a research journal about the Veil. It wasn’t stated right out, but it was the Veil I just knew it instinctively. As I was looking at many of the treasures in the cave Harry walked up to me with the real Gryffindor sword in its sheath around his waist, a gold ball in one hand and his communication mirror inn his other. He put the ball in his pocket and with a grim look in his eyes said, “Mione, come on Ali found a Horcrux in her vault. Damn that snake! I’ll kill him for no better reason than degrading my ancestors, the bastard!”
I stood up quickly putting the books in my pockets and walking beside Harry quickly leaving the cave-vault. As we walked almost ran towards Ali’s vault which Draco now stood in front of I looked back towards where Bri was. I could see spells and fire flying and could hear yelling and fighting and explosions but I couldn’t see anyone. I was a bit scared, but I had to believe that Bri could handle herself even if she was alone against lord knows how many Death Eaters and caught between spells and a dragon’s fire.

Ali’s vault, her point of view…

As I stood in front of Rowena Ravenclaw’s vault I couldn’t believe that it was now mine. I knew I was the heir as I could feel the magic accepting me. I held tight to Draco’s hand letting his love wash over me. As the magic confirmed who I was the vault door slowly opened. As I stepped over the threshold the most powerful magic I had ever felt washed over me. I dropped to my knees gasping as every cell in my body came alive. I could feel my power building. As my magic built I could feel every water molecule in my body, in the air even in Draco’s body. The ancient knowledge of how to manipulate the element was now known to me. I felt a surge of power centered on my right hip. I looked down to see the outline of my water fairy tattoo glowing through my jeans, the surge of power was activating the magic hidden in the protective tattoo.

“Ali, what kind of tattoo is that?” Draco asked.

“A protective magical one. It’s supposed to hold a reserve of magic but since I didn’t have magic when I got I didn’t believe it.”

“Believe it now, Love. That was some surge of power.”

“Oh, Drac you wouldn’t believe it. I feel every molecule of water in this vault,” as I spoke Draco was walking around my vault. He stopped and reached out grabbing something.

“Ali?”

“What, hun?”

“Come here please?”

I stood up walking over to him wondering what was so important. When I got to him I gasped. Draco was down on one-knee holding the most beautiful diamond ring that I had ever seen.

“Drac? What are you doing?”

“I’m doing it right this time.”

Tears ran down my face because even though he had already asked me and I had told him yes a part of me wanted the old fashioned proposal where I was presented with my ring.

“Lady Alexis VanLint, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”

“Oh Merlin, yes!”

Draco grabbed my left hand and slid the three carat cushion cut diamond on my finger. I could see the magic shimmering in the ice blue stone. As we watched the one carat heart shaped stones changed. One becoming an amethyst, which was my birthstone and the other becoming an alexandrite which was obviously Draco’s. The ice blue metal of my ring was very magical and the realization of whose ring this was made me laugh.

“What Ali? What’s so funny?” Draco asked standing up and wrapping me in his arms.

“I really am the heir of Ravenclaw. First I inherit her power, then her wand is meant for me, and now her wedding ring is mine. I can feel her magical signature on it.”

“Yes love, you are,” Draco laughed with me before giving me a kiss and swinging me around. I caught a glimpse of a black shape out of the corner of my eye.

“Drac put me down. There’s something in this vault.”

I quickly walked over to the black shape and as I got nearer I realized what I was seeing.

Rowena Ravenclaw’s famed diadem sitting prominently displayed. Beautifully majestic yet the blackest aura. I had ever seen surrounded it. I knew immediately that it was a Horcrux so I dug my mirror out of my pocket.

“Ash!”

“Ice, what’s wrong sis?”

“Get your ass over here now and bring Gryffindor’s sword, I know you found it.”

“Why Ice, what happened?”

“Moldyshorts put a fucking Horcrux in my vault that’s what happened!”

“Shit! I’ll be right there.”

I put my mirror back in my pocket and waited for Harry.
