The witches, the Nemesis and a bunch of Slayers.

It was just chaotic. Buffy’s mind wandered back two years ago, in that cave. The Hellmouth, the Ubbervamps, The Apocalypse, slayers. Dead Slayers. Annabelle, Chao-Ahn, Amanda, Molly, Chloe and others. Her eyes laid on the corpses of several young slayers who had fallen.

‘If only I’d seen this coming.’ She thought. Fifteen minutes before, she was finishing some paperwork in her office when she had heard screams coming from the hall. She had rushed to the source of these screams and frozen at the sight of dozens of demons invading the Academy. She had immediately pushed the alarm button to warn the students and jumped into the fight, her cellphone in one hand to call Faith. Fifteen minutes is nothing in a lifetime, but it was enough to change a school hall into a battlefield. Another girl died beside her, she was barely sixteen. The Scooby Gang was there too, minus Faith, doing their best to fight off the intruders. But they were outnumbered. Kennedy showd up at some moment, out of niwhere, but it didn’t make a difference.

“Buffy!” A familiar voice emerged from the noise.

“Faith!” she saw the Rogue Slayer approaching to fight by her side. She noticed Hermione and a boy she’d seen a couple times before, partolling with the slayers.

“They’re Sigma’s!” Buffy yelled.

“Seena must be somewhere!” the brunette replied.

“Great! That’s all we need” the blonde replied with irony.

“We can save her!” Faith argued, stabbing a demon with a sword.”

“Save yourself, first! Why’s everything all about Seena, with you?” Buffy shouted angrily.

“Cause she’s my best friend! And now’s not the time to talk about that in case you haven’t noticed!” Willow errected a magic wall to protect them for a few.

“We don’t even talk anymore” Buffy continued, while the demons were doing their best to put pressure on the wall. She stared at Faith and Faith stared back.
“Girls, whatever’s going on, now’s not the time!” Xander pointed. The wall collapsed, and Buffy chose that moment to crash her lips against Faith’s. It lasted a few seconds, before the second wave attacked.

“That’s such a mess!” Harry said to Hermione. The two former Gryffondors were back to back, casting spells to protect themselves from the hordes of demons.

“Avada Kedavra!” Hermione chanted, and killed a demon twice her seize “Where is she?”

“I don’t know, I can’t see her!” The more they killed demons, the more others were coming. They were surrounded by corpses.

“Finish them off!” Sigma’s voice resounded in the hall, and the demons doubled their effort.

“Stop!” They all froze. The Scoobies were stunned. Sigma’s minions moved away and turned to the entrance doors, where Seena was standing, in front of Sigma.

“What are you doing?” Sigma shouted.

“I said stop! It’s enough!

“Master, what shall we do?” A demon asked.

“Kill them all!” sigma oredered

“No!” Seena yelled so loud the walls trembled.

“How dare you!”

The Scoobies were watching the scene before them with amazement and stupor.

“Seena! Harry called. The Nemesis turned her head. There was an expression of surprise and worry on her face when she noticed the boy.

“If you don’t obey, I’ll-”

“You what?” Sigma was seething with rage. He turned to the shamans “Kill her! Kill everyone! I want-” He couldn’t finish his sentence. Sigma looked down at Seena’s arm inside his chest, then up at her face. He collapsed when she pulled out his heart from his chest. Then the Nemesis extanded her right hand towards the demons, and they all burst into flames. It was like a bonfire. In a few seconds, she had exterminated them all. Then there was a deadly silence. The Nemesis and the Scoobies face each other, separated by dozens of bodies. Seena stared down at them.

“I’m sorry...” she said and vanished.

Fleeing. Always fleeing.

‘I had to...I could have never done it.’ Seena thought. She was in her former bedroom, the one at the Ancients mansion. At first, she didn’t really knew why she’d come here. But after all, it was the place in-between. Before Hermione, before Sigma. Before Good and Evil.

‘Shit happened here too...but it was nothing compared to all this.’ It was funny to her to realize that, even in this small dark bedroom, there were two parts of her in conflict. There were the blades on the floor, the violence, the anger. And there was the bed when she had made love with Hermione for the first time. She sat down on the bed and replayed the events of the evening in her head. She had led the troops, stood by her boss’ side and watched. Watched innocent girls dying, some she knew, others she didn’t.

‘I can’t do this’ she had thought. A part of her had broken at one moment, and she’d come to realization that everything had gone mad.

‘They were my friends, they cared about me.’ Then she’d seen Faith and Buffy. Their kiss. Their love. It made her smile.

‘I have to stop this. I can’t let them die, not even her...’ She had told herself. So she’d killed Sigma.

“He was just a user anyway. Should have done that for a long time” She spoke. And then she’d run away. “Now I’m alone, I don’t know who I am, I dont know....” She laid on the bed and closed her eyes.

‘I just want to rest...’

It took four hours to clean the mess, burn the bodies of thei fellow slayers and send the worst injured ones to the hospital. Now, for the young slayers, it was time to get about the shock and start grieving. Buffy and Faith were finishing washing the hall.

“Look, about what happened-” the blonde began.

“What? If you’re gonna start the ‘I thought we were gonna die, it didn’t mean anything’ speech, I don’t wanna hear it.” Faith interrupted her.

“No, it wasn’t.” Faith stopped and stared into the short girl’s eyes.

“I meant it.” There was a long pause. Faith wasn’t really sure of what was happening. “I want it, I want us.” It was as simple as that. Buffy was standing there, admitting her feelings for her. Faith managed to hold back the need to pinch herself to see if she was dreaming or even dead.

“I love you, Faith.” The Rogue Slayer dropped the broom she was holding and closed the gap between them. This time, the kiss was longer. Deep, passionate and loving.

“Looks like they’ve found their way to each other, eventually.” Harry said, doing the bandage for his arm. Hermione paused to look at the Chosen Two and kept on cleaning the wound on her friend’s forehead. “What are you gonna do now?”

“What do you mean?”

“You know what I mean.” Harry stated with a serious tone.

“I don’t know...yet.” Hermione sighed.

“You should go to her! You’re the only one who can find her!”

“She doesn’t want to.”

“Of course she does!” Harry exclaimed and winced “Ouch! That hurts...You should talk to her. You never had a chance to!”

“Yes I know, but she won’t forgive me...” Hermione was trying hard to hold back her tears. She thought about Willow, who had gone to the hospital with the slayers. Lately their relationship had been very tensed, and Hermione knew it was her fault. Thinking twice...it had been tensed from the start. Tensed and fake, on her part.

“I keep hurting people.” She whispered.

“You sound like her.” Harry scoffed. “Look,” he paused “there’s nothing else I can do now. I’m pretty sure that old good Seena’s back, the one who cares, the one who’s afraid of who she is. It’s your job now to get her back and help her overcome this.” He put his other hand on the girl’s shoulder. “I’m sorry things went like that between us. About what I said to you and all.”

“I love her.” Hermione admitted, and felt her cheek getting wet.

“And she loves you too...You just need to move your butt and find her!” Hermione looked lost in her thoughts. She looked up at her friend.

“I have to do something first.”
