Interlude 1
Draco met with Voldemort in his father’s old study, which now no longer held any trace of Lucius. He bowed before taking a seat in a cushioned chair to the side of the oak desk.
“Well Draco, what news do you have for me? I don’t have all night to wait for you to get comfortable boy.” Voldemort snarled at him. Draco raised an eyebrow, something had obviously upset the Dark Lord greatly. Voldemort glared at the boy with even more irritation for hesitating to answer.
“My lord, Granger is making remarkable progress in her training, and will be moving on to train with Snape beginning tomorrow.” Draco said with a casual air.
“You came in here and disturbed my important work for THAT information? I can plainly see that Hermione is progressing well from the daily reports I receive. You’d better have something more to tell me boy, you may be my heir, but that position does not include exemption from punishment as a perk.” Voldemort snapped. Draco smirked, someone certainly was in trouble tonight, too bad he’d have to miss the revel because of Hermione.
“Of course there is more my lord. You wouldn’t have made me your heir if I was stupid enough to come in here with such useless information. It was merely a starting point.” He responded.
“Very well then, get to the point, as I said I don’t have all night.”
“I informed Hermione of my necessary absence for the next week during dinner tonight, and she showed some very interesting reactions. She was disappointed in the fact that I was leaving, though the traces of emotion were very slight.”
“A good quality in a highborn witch, though I sense there is more?” Voldemort said.
“Yes sir, she also showed signs of extreme jealousy about the time I will be spending with Weasley while she is training under Snape.” With that Draco described the dinner scene and outlined his plans to continue his seduction of Hermione.
“So, you told her you had duties to perform this next week? I don’t recall giving you any assignments Draco.” Voldemort said.
“Forgive me my lord, but I needed an excuse so she won’t know what Blaise and I are really doing. I vowed to avenge the wrongs done to Hermione by Potty and the Weasel, and I mean to do so. They destroyed two perfectly good witches, one powerful and one extremely loyal, and that cannot go unpunished. I have not had time to find out where they are hiding or a way to punish them, and this next week will kill two birds with one stone, I will find them, and I will make Hermione miss me. By missing me, she will come to realize that she wants me more than needs me, which is the next step to making her mine.”
“Very well, you may proceed with your plans and you are excused from the revel tonight, since I assume you will want to spend some quality time with your witch before you leave in the morning.”
“Thank you my lord.”

A/N I have very sketchy internet for a week, which is both good and bad news. Bad because it will make updating difficult, good because it means I have less distractions and will be able to write a lot more. Soo........next chapter will have a mini lemon in it!!! Please Review!
