Chapter 13: Even Deatheaters Can Be Victims
Hermione
soon found herself deep inside the pensive, things whirling around her like
some kind of strange dream. She remembered what Harry had told her about the
pensive and she was ready to see what kind of monster Snape had been. She found
herself back where she had been raped and wondered why she was here. She saw
Snape enter, two Deatheaters holding him so that he couldn’t escape. And then
she saw Voldemort and Hermione wanted to run from the room.
“Well the traitor shows
up,” Voldemort said, a sick smile on his face.
“What should we do
to him?” one of them asked him.
Voldemort grinned.
“I think that we
should show him that he can’t protect those that he’s responsible for.”
He motioned for Wormtail to leave and when he returned she
was surprised to find that he had dragged her in.
“Well isn’t it Miss
Granger,” Voldemort said, smiling. “It’s so nice to see you coming to our
little gathering.”
“Leave her alone,”
Severus snarled.
Voldemort laughed at him.
“Do you see what
Dumbledore does to those that hang around him, Wormtail?” he said. “Dumbledore
shows them how to disrespect those above them.”
“Disgusting,”
Wormtail hissed.
“Go to hell, you
filthy half-blood,” Severus snarled.
Hermione saw Voldemort staring at him, a cold expression on
his face.
“Ya, I heard Potter
say that your real name is Tom Riddle,” Severus went on. “You’ve got no right
to rule anything.”
“CRUCIO!”
Voldemort screamed.
Severus screamed in pain as the curse hit him. Both Hermione’s
were crying out, but only one got Voldemort’s attention.
“I bet your
wondering how I knew,” Voldemort said, removing the curse and letting Severus
gasp for air. “Well I think that you need to meet the person that betrayed all
of you, who works for me.”
And the real Hermione gasped when Ron Weasley entered.
“Ron,” Hermione’s
pensive self said.
“Shut up, Mudblood,”
Ron snapped.
The pensive Hermione stared at him shock and so did the real
Hermione.
“Ron, why don’t you
tell her everything,” Voldemort said.
Ron grinned evilly, like all his wishes were coming true.
“I’ve been feeding
the Dark Lord information on what the Order has been doing, including the fact
that Harry knew about the Prophecy,” Ron explained. “And I also told him that
you can’t resist the Imperious Curse.”
“No,” the real
Hermione whispered. “Oh no, Ron, not you!”
“Imperio,”
Voldemort cried out.
Hermione saw her pensive self get hit with the curse and
then he repeated the spell on Severus. Then Hermione had to watch as a mindless
Severus raped her pensive self.
“I think that’s
enough, Hermione,” Minerva told her.
And she was led away.

Severus was
busy looking over the plant that Neville seemed so fond of and shook his head.
Why the boy thought that plants were the answer to everyone’s problems, he
would never know. He heard a knock and when he turned he saw Remus standing
there.
“Hello, Lupin,” Severus
said trying to sound cold but not doing a good job of it.
“Harry told me what
Hermione wants to do with her child,” Remus said. “Are you going to be alright
with that?”
“No,” Severus said
stiffly. “I’m not going to be bloody alright with it.”
Remus grinned at him, but Severus found nothing funny in it.
“So what do you
want, Lupin?”
“Well since you’re
free of everything I need my batch of Wolfbane Potion made,” he told him.
Severus snorted. Even after all that he had done, he still
relied on him.
“Very well, you
shall have it.”
“Thanks and one
more thing.”
“What.”
“She will come
around,” he said.
And he left Severus to his thoughts.

“I can’t believe
that Ron did that to us,” Hermione said, blowing into an already damp napkin. “I
thought he was my friend.”
“I know,” Minerva
said.
Hermione wiped her tears.
“Oh god, and all
those things that I said to Snape,” Hermione said. “He must think that I’m some
kind of monster.”
“Trust me, he doesn’t,”
Minerva said. “Hermione, I know that what you saw was hard for you to watch,
but I must ask of you to try and talk to Severus.”
“I will and thanks.”
And she was gone.

Severus was
still working on his plants when he heard another knock. He was starting to get
angry at everyone bothering him.
“I said that-.”
He turned and was shocked to see Hermione standing there.
“Severus, I’m sorry
about what I said,” she told him before he could say anything else to him.
Severus stared at her.
“Can you forgive
me?”
Severus smiled at her, a true smile.
“Of
course, Hermione.
