Severus held his wife tightly, saying with wavering confidence, "She'll be ok. She just needs a bit of time. She's still young. As she grows up she'll learn how to use that experience to her benefit; that's what us Slytherins do."
"I hope you're right." Hermione said, leaning into him more.
"I'm always right." He smirked, "That's what you love about me."
"Hmmm," She sighed, "Are you so sure that I love you?"
"Yes," he said, tightening his arms around her.
"Ah," She nodded, smiling properly for the first time in almost a week, "Well, seeing as how you're always right, I guess I do love you."
Severus kissed the top of her head, "I love you too."
