Chapter Fourteen: The Harmonizing Sound of Blade Going Through Flesh

Well this seems to be good! I hope it will keep up the many hits and such and long live the draco and harry! And the story is coming to a closing for those wondering. However, the end will probably take one more chapter (maybe two) but please, keep your eyes peeled, Im going to write a sequel.

And to Zelphie, I don\'t have a beta. I was wondering if anyone is interested in betaing the sequel to this though. I think I have a really good idea. If you are interested, please IM me, or something.

Chapter Fourteen: The Harmonizing Sound of Blade Going Through Flesh
.
In the very cloak that fooled Harry, Draco stood in the crowd watching the wedding. To say that guards were everywhere would be a grave and fatal understatement. Draco examined as his beloved was ‘escorted\' to his wedding by several guards. It was very disturbing to see how far Tom would go with his love and obsession. Tom had taken care of everything, but he left one thing unaccounted for; Draco loved Harry. Not only that, but Harry loved him back, and for all Tom\'s money, all his power and all his persuasion, he could do nothing to beat that.

Guiltily, Draco snuck one more look at Harry before setting of to work. Harry looked heavenly in his wedding garb. Wearing a simple white silk shirt unfastened on top, the laxity of the shirt was remedied by his skin tight vest, with pants of the same material, all with silver stitching around the edges. The clothes fit perfectly and despite the hatred he felt, he had to admit Tom had very good fashion sense.

Harry waited for the loop hole in the vows, and here it came:

\"And do you, Prince Harold James Potter III, take Prince Tomas M. Riddle to-\"

\"NO! NO, I DON\'T!\" Interrupting the priest with his pleading cry, \"It\'s wrong for me to marry someone I don\'t love!\"

\"And as Prince, current leader and sole heir, I override your decision.\" Tom stated cooly, very happy he had gotten such a corrupt priest.

\"Hold it,\" Draco\'s voice rang through as he stood at the foot of the stone stairway. Whisking his cloak off, he let the fabric fall to the ground elegantly in the wind. Slowly walking up the steps, he looked at Tom with pure loathing.

\"DRACO!\" Harry screamed with utter delight and then terror as he realized that men were out to kill the man he loved. \"Watch out, there are-\"

\"It was clever to try to have me assassinated.\" Pausing to chuckle in a condescending way, \"Maybe if you had payed your men instead of threatening them they would have stayed loyal to you.\" Draco said in a whisper that cut through the noise just because of the pure evil it permeated with. \"I will show you no mercy now, for you have sullied not only what is mine, but what I love, and you will pay for it.\" Draco continued to saunter up the flight slowly.

\"Well I suppose the ceremony will be cut short. But what can one do?\" Tom laughed in a jovial manner, and suddenly the earth shook, only on the temple\'s grounds. Misty smoke filled the air and Tom caught hold of Harry\'s arm and carried him to the large double doors of the temple.

The entrance opened, sending more of the smoke out and Tom walked in hauling Harry behind. The two faded into the darkness while the ground quaked dangerously. Draco ran and managed to get through the doorway right before the egresses closed.

\"Welcome, Harry, to the Temple of Neifier*. The archaic home of the great snake, passed down through the Riddle family as the divine protector and servant.\" (*ney-e-fe-air)

\"What is this place?\" Harry said as he looked around. The room seemed to be made of stone and had torches around that lit only when they were in the room. The floor had an immense montage of a circular pattern. Harry truly feared that he would die in such a damp and depressing sarcophagus. The poor wingely quickly turned when he heard a slithering noise behind him.

\"Ahh, Harry, I present to you the Last Basilisk.\" Tom announced in an unusually calm voice considering he was standing next to a fifty-foot snake with teeth the size of one\'s forearm. Distinguishing the snake, Harry instantly shut his eyes. It was known that looking into the eyes of a basilisk would kill you. Tom\'s tranquility unnerved him. \"Don\'t worry Harry, though poisonous, this basilisk has lost its ability to paralyze and kill through site.\" Tom cupped his face causing Harry to look at him. \"He will not hurt you.\" Tom smiled.

\"Harry!\" Draco ran in calling for his love. His sword was drawn and ready.

\"Oh great Basilisk! I, Tomas Riddle, heir to the Salazar line, call upon you! Protect what is most precious to me, and attack my foes!\" Understanding perfectly, the basilisk slithered around Tom and Harry, Directing its attention at Tom\'s afore mentioned \"foe.\"

\"I believe it is time to make our leave.\" Hauling Harry up over his shoulder, Tom walked to the large oak doors across the room.

\"Bring him back!\" Dodging the serpent Draco tried to get closer to Harry. But with a few muttered words in a hiss-like language Tom opened immense the exit. The two faded into the darkness of the new entry way. Forgetting his adversary Draco was swiftly brought back to his sense as a tail came thrashing down next to him. With a swift movement, Draco slashed the snake in the side. Caterwauling, the snake thrashed for a bit, but continued the assault on Draco, only slowed down a bit.

Tom ventured farther in into the temple, with Harry still slung over his shoulder. Harry\'s screams echoed throughout the tunnel, while he crashed his small fists on Tom\'s back not bothering to get a flinch out of him. As Harry\'s tears streamed down and Tom chose to set him down and calm him before pulling Harry further. Tom looked into the beautiful glassy eyes of his love, and hugged him tightly.

\"Harry, why do you make this so hard? I love you.\"

\"I don\'t love you, but if you call that thing off Draco I swear I\'ll stay and never leave you. I swear! Just save him!\"

\"No. I did that once and it didn\'t work, you\'ll finally realize who you love when he is gone.\"

\"If you kill him, I\'ll die too! I swear, if you kill him I won\'t last a day! I\'ll die without him.\"

\"Come on let\'s keep going.\" Tom said in a dejected tone. Taking Harry\'s thin wrist, drawing him behind they made their way to another enormous door.

\"Now Harry, this door was created to sniff out traitors, so, I don\'t know what it is but there is a barrier here. I guess we\'ll find out what kind.\" Tom said with a smile, as if he was oblivious to Harry\'s struggling, hitting and occasional biting of the offending hand on his wrist. The two turned instantly when a noise rang through the tunnel again, this time however, it was not Harry.

\"That must be the basilisk with its latest kill,\" Tom grinned earning a sob from the small wingely.

\"Draco!\" Harry yelled with joy, and sure enough there was Draco, running for dear life from the serpentine pursuer. The snake lunged for him, and Draco easily dogged, laughing at the blind, sluggish creature.

\"Your ‘Great Basilisk\' is a joke Tom! When it\'s blinded, all one has to do is cast a simple wind charm and he can\'t even smell! Now, if you don\'t mind, give me my Harry back!\"

\"Never! He\'s mine! And once you\'re dead he\'ll know it!\" Tom quickly dragged Harry through the barrier and into what seemed to be an old throne room.

\"AHH!\" falling to the ground and screaming Harry started clawing at the smooth floor, in hope to stop the wings that were starting to form on his back. Usually when his wings came out, they were of his own accord, but when they were forced out, they would tear through the skin painfully. And a couple seconds later Harry had exceedingly bloody wings protruding from the torn skin on his shoulder blades.

\"HARRY! Why did you fight it?! You should have just let your wings come out! God, It looks like you broke one! Honestly!\" Tom\'s frustrated voice finally reached Harry\'s previously incoherent ears. When Tom got up, he turned around looking in the other direction, and all Harry could think of was to escape.

Draco watched as the bastard lugged Harry through the doors and he knew he had to get to him. With a swift ice spell he froze the leviathan snake, but by the time he looked at his handy work the snake was already splintering through the ice. He ran though the doors and smashed them shut behind him, hopping to keep the creature at bay. And there in the middle of the room, was Tom looking at a giant statue of a snake and Harry sitting in a pool of blood.

Draco watched as Harry tried to fly, but with sickening snap his wing bent at an odd angle.

\"Harry, that was stupid.\" As Tom finished his lecture Harry tried it again, but didn\'t manage his wing of the ground.

\"Just stand up-\" Tom then noticed Draco.

\"I\'m rather annoyed with your persistence. I had better handle you myself.\" Tom cooly articulated drawing his sword.

\"Well, you just can\'t kill me.\" Draco said with classic Malfoy cockiness, unsheathing his blade as well.

\"The same could be said about a cockroach.\"

\"I assure you, you are the only one here on the level of an insect.\"

\"I\'m rather sick of our witty banter, so why don\'t I just cut of your head and feed it to my snake.\"

\"I would make a similar threat, but feeding you to any beast would be considered animal cruelty.\"

\"Shut up\" Tom lunged for Draco in a fencing stance that showed that he had trained with the best of Northern Slytherin. Luckily for Harry, Draco parried with the skills of the best of Southern Slytherin. The battle was slightly interrupted by a large crash that shook the temple.

\"I take it you didn\'t kill the basilisk? Well, I\'m glad I still have a way to dispose of your body when I kill you. It\'s been a while since that snake\'s eaten.\"

\"Can you come up with a new threat, or is the only thing you are capable of doing is feed a corpse to a snake?\"

\"Shut up, you bastard!\" The fight continued and Tom and Draco fought with true passion both believing that they were the last hope to make Harry happy. Tom sliced through Draco\'s arm, but in turn Draco carved into Tom\'s chest. They were both equal in their skill so it was really a battle of who would last longer. Harry dreaded the outcome, for he would have to either belong to Tom, or face the basilisk on the other side of the door with Draco. Needless to say he didn\'t care about himself, he just also wanted to protect Draco.

Without thinking Harry tried to move his wings and instantly cried out in pain. He watched as Tom and Draco turned to look at him. When Tom saw he was okay he looked back at Draco, but Draco continued watching Harry, genuinely worried about him. When Tom saw his opening, he went strait for Draco\'s heart. He listened to the harmonizing sound of blade going through flesh.
