Chapter 13: Get the Story Straight

Chapter 13: Get the Story Straight

In Severus Snape’s Room at the OUBLIETTE approximately 10:00 PM

Draco and Severus have been practicing Occlumency for the last two hours and they have been going over their plan to get Draco back into Hogwarts so he can finish his education. Draco looks a little worse for wear. Severus is snickering over an image of Hermione Granger decking Draco during their third year.

“Uncle Severus, it isn’t that funny. Silly little mud…I mean muggleborn,” Draco corrects himself noting Severus’ severe look.

“The act itself wasn’t funny, but your reaction was priceless,” admits Severus.

“What do you mean?” shrieks Draco.

“I mean you enjoyed the attention,” finishes Severus.

“Well actually, she is somewhat attractive. But do you know who I think has the more interesting looks?” mentions Draco as he gets up and starts pacing the room.

“Dare I ask?’ Severus asks bored as he puts away the pensieve they were using.

“Luna Lovegood. I mean, one would have to convince how to dress properly and to wear the correct jewelry, but she has the way about her like world moves at her pace. She doesn’t seem to let the small things that bother the rest of us get to her. Also, she’s eccentric. Plus I know she is brilliant and…” continues Draco.

“Let me understand you correctly, you have a crush on Luna Lovegood. The girl whose father owns the “Quibbler”?” finishes Severus.

“You mean the girl whose father sold Harry Potter’s exclusive story to the “Daily Prophet” for a mint,” challenges Draco.

“Does your Mother know about this? Never mind, does your Father know about this?” asks Severus.

“No to both questions. Right now, your mother wants out of Voldermort’s service and she wants you happy. So if Luna Lovegood is what you want, your Mother would start planning your wedding now,” quips Severus.

“I know. I have considered eloping, but I don’t want to spoil her fun. I’m not sure about Father. I‘m going to visit him in Azkaban as soon as possible and talk to him about the future. I don’t want to follow Voldermort. If it comes down to muggles or Voldermort, then I will take the muggles,” explains Draco.

“Lesser of two evils, huh” smirks Severus.
“No contest,” retorts Draco, “So Uncle Severus, who was the red head with the short hair walking out of your room the other night. She was really hot!”

Severus smiles and says, “Just an old friend, and you should mind your own business, young man.”

“Yea, but I was wondering if she was a pro or something. But you said she was a friend so I won’t go any further,” Draco relents and shrugs.
