Chapter 14: Trial.

Chapter 14: Trial.

Sarah walked with Dumbledore back to his office just after they had had their lunch.
“Professor?”
“Yes.” Dumbledore looked across to his student.
“How come you didn’t ask Draco to come? He went through the same thing.” Sarah asked curiously.
“Mr. Malfoy isn’t the reason for what Samara did. She was after you he just got in the way.”
“Oh.” Sarah understood. “Is it just you and I who will be going to the trial?”
“Yes.” Dumbledore nodded.
“Not to bad.” Sarah smiled. Dumbledore chuckled. They walked up to Dumbledore’s office. Dumbledore walked into another room. Sarah just stood in one place beside Dumbledordeskdesk. Dumbledore came back holding a small telescope.
“This is our portkey.” Dumbledore healed out the telescope. “Take hold of it.” Sarah had never used a portkey before. She took hold of the portkey. A few minutes later Sarah felt as though she was spinning around in circles. She could only see Dumbledore and nothing else but white, white, white. Sarah started to feel dizzy. Then suddenly it all stopped and Sarah was able to see thi
“O
“Oh I’ve got to get used to that.” Sarah held her forehead.
“Yes.” Dumbledore chuckled. “I was the same I f I first used a portkey.” Sarah laughed. “Come now I’ll take you to the court room.” Dumbledore walked off. Sarah followed him, looking around as she walked. There were loads of Witches and Wizards walking around. Dumbledore walked through a set of double doors. Sarah walked a little quicker so she wouldn’t lose sight of Dumbledore. She looked in to the room and saw that it was round. 4 rows of chairs circulated the room until the middle where there was railing going around in a circle and a hole in the middle. “Take a seat in the front row.” Dumbledore pointed over to the seats. Sarah nodded. She saw the man that was in Dumbledore’s office wal to to them.
“Hello.” The man greeted.
“Hello Damon.” Dumbledore looked at the man.
“Hello again Sarah.” Damon looked at Sarah.
“Hi.” Sarah waved. The man smiled.
“May I have a quick word with you Albus?” Damon asked.
“You may.” Dumbledore nodded.
“I’ll go.” Sarah walked away and sat down in the front row and sat down. She looked over the railing into the hole and saw one chair in the center of the room. Sarah looked up and in frof hef her she saw a large red and gold chair, she supposed that it was for the judge. Dumbledore sat himself down next to her.
“Good spot.” Dumbledore complimented.
“Thanks.” Sarah couldn’t help but laugh. “This is a strange court room.” Sarah whispered.
“Yes it is slightly unusual.” Dumbledore agreed. A door on the other side of the court room opened up and in walked a fat man in black attire.
“Bring in the accused!” The judge’s voice boomed around the room. The room downstairs made some noises and a door opened up and in came and older looking girl with Jet black hair, black eyes and pale skin. Sarah knew the girl was Samara. Samara looked up at Sarah and smirked. Sarah looked away. She caught a glimpse of a man with lplatplatinum blond hair sneak in to the room and sit down at the back row. He seemed oddly familiar to Sarah as she looked at him while he sd atd at Samara angrily. “Samara Lancôme you are being accused of attempted murder, murder and being a follower of the Dark Lord. Who had died at the hand of Samara Lancôme?” the judge asked.
“Jasmine Carmondy sir.” A man in black stood.
“Thank you.” The judge looked down at Samara. “You are charged with the death of Jasmine Carmondy. Who had she attempted to kill?”
“Stand.” Dumbledore whispered to Sarah. Sarah hesitated for a moment then stood up.
“It was I.” Sarah muttered nervously. Everyone in the court room looked at her.
“Sarah Harrison?” The judge asked as he referred to his notes.
“Y Sar Sarah nodded.
“She is a SLUT your honor.” Samara shouted. Everyone gasped.
“I am no such thing!” Sarah shouted back. “You are angry because I was able to win over the boy, that he loved me and you were nothing to him.”
“NO!” Samara screamed. “YOU ARE A SLUT!” Samara pointed at Sarah.
“I have done nothing that could lead you to accuse me of being one.” Sarah stated.
“KEEP IT DOWN!” The judge ordered.
“You are a bitch.” Samara added.
“I am I bitch to people like you because you make me sick and get on my nerves!” Sarah screamed finally letting out all the anger she had gained over the past few months. Everyone gasped then went silent.
“Yes thank you Miss Harrison.” The judge acknowledged.
“I’m sorry sir.” Sarah apologized.
“Do not worry miss. You may sit.” Sarah sat down and sighed. She felt so embarrassed. She felt the people in the room stare at her as she could feel the stares burning into her skin.
“Not bad.” Dumbledore whispered. Sarah looked up at him know knowing what he had meant. Dumbledore just looked at her and winked.
“McBurton. Does she contain the dark mark?” the judge asked one of the men in the room down below who was standing next to Samara. The man bent down and pulled up Samara’s sleeve reviling a black mark.
“Watch it big boy.” Samara smirked. The man dropped her arm after he had a good look at the mark.
“She does sir.” McBurton announced.
“Well as everyone knows that death eaters must not be exposed to the magical world. It is safer to keep them locked up. Miss Lancôme I sentence you to Azkaban prison for LIFE!” the judge slammed down his gravel. The court room burst out into cheers. People stood and began to shout at Samara as she left the room. Sarah looked up and saw the blond man quietly sneak out of the room again. Sarah and Dumbledore kept seated and just clapped.
“I’m glad that’s overover.” Sarah sighed as the clapping died down.
“Yes.” Dumbledore agreed. “We can go now.” Dumbledore stood up. Sarah copied and they both left the court room. Dumbledore led Sarah back the way they came from. When they got back to the foyer Sarah looked up at the large staircase and saw her father walking down.
“Father?” Sarah whispered. Dumbledore looked around and saw Thomas walking down the staircase.
Tholooklooked around and saw a girl that looked exactly like his daughter, but it couldn’t be his daughter. She was still at school for another two days. He noticed the man standing next to her and saw Albus Dumbledore. Straight away he knew that that girl was his daughter.
“SARAH!” Thomas called. Sarah waved at her father. Thomas quickly walked over to his daughter and the headmaster. “What is it? Is there something wrong?”
“No.” Sarah blurted before Dumbledore could talk. She didn’t want her parents to worry about why she was here at the ministry. “I just wanted to see a trial here at the ministry and Professor Dumbledore was kind enough to show me to one.
“Oh well that’s good.” Thomas gave Dumbledore an odd look.
“So this is were you actually work?” Sarah asked.
“Yes.” Thomas nodded.
“Nice.” Sarah smiled. She had totally forgotten that her parents had kept her life a secret due to all the things that have been happening lately.
“I’m sorry we didn’t tell you who you really are, sweetie.” Thomas apologized.
“It’s ok.”
“Hmm, yes.” Thomas sighed. “Albus may I have a word with you?”
“You may.”
“Good, come over here.” Thomas walked far enough to make sure his daughter wn’t n’t be able to hear anything.
“What is it you would like to talk about Thomas?” Dumbledore asked politely.
“Have you told her yet?” Thomas asked with a slightly angry tone.
“Thomas if you are talking about what I think you are, then no.” Dumbledore replied. “I shall leave it to you and Talia to explain. I am not the one who made this secret, even though it is my business too, but I shall respect your wishes. And do say hello to Talia for me.”
“Thank you.”
“It has been a secret for 15 years why not extend it by a few more years hey?” Dumbledore said with high sarcasm. He turned around and walked off. Thomas followed.
“So what are we going to do now?” Sarah asked. Behind her father she saw the blond man approach them.
“Hello Thomas.” The man butted in.
“Oh hello Lucius.” Said Thomas with a lively tone.
“Albus.” Lucius looked over to Dumbledore.
“Hello Lucius.” Dumbledore said in his normal commonly used tone.
“Is this your daughter Thomas?” Lucius asked as he gave Sarah a good look.
“Yes.” Thomas pulled Sarah forward. “Sarah this is Lucius Malfoy.”
“Oh hello.” Sarah shook his hand. The man from the court room was Lucius Malfoy, her boyfriends father. “Nice to meet you“And“And you. My son is your age.”
“Yes, Draco. I . We. We are really good friends.” Sarah smiled.
“Oh good.” Lucius said with fake happiness.
“We must be going now.” Dumbledore interrupted.
“Yes sir.” Sarah stopped talking with Lucius. “I’ll see you around Mr. Malfoy.”
“Indeed.” Lucius gave Sarah a nod.
“Bye father.” Sarah hugged her father. “I’ll see you in a few days.”
“Yes.”
“Bye.” Sarah waved and walked away with Dumbledore. She wondered what her father and Dumbledore had a chat about. Dumbledore took out the portkey and held it out for Sarah to hold. Sarah took hold of it and once again she began to spin around. She could see nothing but Dumbledore and white. There was a pop and Sarah began to see Dumbledore’s office. “Thank you Professor.”
“Oh it was absolutely no problem my dear.”
“I’ll see you later.” Sarah waked over to the office door.
“Yes.” Dumbledore gave Sarah a nod. Sarah left the office and headed to the Slytherin Common room. She walked and walked until she entered the common room. She looked around and saw Draco sitting at the table playing around with a little clear ball.
“Draco.” Sarah walked over to him and sat down.
“Hey.” Draco kissed her softly. “How did it go?”
“Well she went to Azkaban of course.”
“Yeah.”
“I saw my father.”
“That’s good.”
“And I met yours.”
“Goo-What?” Draco didn’t know if he heard it right.
“Your father, Lucius? I met him only a few minutes ago.”
“What was he like? What was he doing?” Draco asked with a panicking tone.
“You should know what he’s like he’s your father. He was just talking to my father so I met him.”
“Ok.” Draco sighed. Sarah laughed and started to talk about something else.
