Ch 14 - Demons

CHAPTER 14 "“ DEMONS

All of your demons will wither away
Ecstasy comes and they cannot stay
You\'ll understand when you come my way
Coz all of my demons have withered away
All of my demons have withered away

Demons "“ Macy Gray

Sirius and Faith walked from Kings Cross station, chatting and laughing and looking to all the other late night revellers like a young couple on their way home after night out. They walked into the square and the streetlights illuminated the patch of dead grass in its centre.

Faith looked around at the house on all four sides. Dilapidated, dirty, run-down. She had seen houses like this before, back home. The houses that had faced the trailer she and her mom had lived in looked a bit like this, and they had been full of drug dealers and low lifes.

She turned to Sirius, but on seeing his rigid body language and the strained look on his face, she thought before she spoke, "Which one is it?" she asked lightly.

Sirius looked down at her as though he had forgotten she was there, "None of them," he said with a sigh, handing her a folded piece of paper.

She unfolded it and read it quickly with a frown.

The Headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix may be found at number twelve, Grimmauld Place, London.

"Memorise it and then burn it," he said quietly.

She reread the scrap of paper, pulled her lighter out of her jeans pocket and touched the flame to the note, which quickly disintegrated.

"What the hell was that for," she asked, looking at Sirius while running the address through her mind.

Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye she saw movement. She swung around to face the nearest row of houses and her mouth dropped open as she saw number twelve Grimmauld Place squeeze itself into place between numbers eleven and thirteen.

Sirius looked up at his childhood home with a sense of despair. He had always hated it here.

Faith looked away from the magical house to Sirius. "Hey," she said softly as she grabbed his hand, "You gonna show around or what?"

Sirius looked from the house to his slayer, she was smiling at him, and then back at the house. Suddenly it didn't look so bad.

Sirius went in first but before he could warn her, she slammed the door shut behind her. Sirius cringed as he heard the insane screeching start from upstairs. He turned to see Faith in a fighting stance, her eyes darting around the dimly lit hallway.

"C'mon" he said heavily, as he ascended the staircase.

As they reached the landing, Faith blinked to make sure she wasn't seeing things. "Sirius, what the hell is that thing?"

Sirius turned and looked at the drooling screaming portrait, sneering as he said, "Faith, let me introduce you to my mother."

Faith tore her eyes away from the horrible picture to stare incredulously at her champion. Sirius quickly explained about the portraits in the wizarding world as Faith's eyes were drawn back to the woman in the portrait.

Mrs Black had stopped screaming for a moment and was giving Faith a quick once over. Sirius came to stand behind Faith and Mrs Blacks eyes came to rest on him,

"The prodigal son returns," she shrieked dramatically,

"Shut up," growled Sirius through clenched teeth.

"I had heard that you were dead," she continued as though he hadn't spoken, "but unfortunately that seems not to be the case and now you are back in my home with some dirty mudblood whore."

"Hey lady, you wanna take it down a notch or two," said Faith, her face showing her intense dislike for the woman.

"How dare you speak to me that way!" she howled, "I am the lady of this house that you and that blood traitor have invaded, who do you think you are?"

Faith shook her head. "I think I'm the one who's gonna shut you the hell up if you don't give it up."

"Faith," said Sirius wearily, "we can't get rid of her, she's stuck there with powerful magic, we've tried everything."

"Yeah?" said Faith, looking over the portrait in its grimy old frame. "Did "˜ya try brute strength?" she asked, taking hold of a corner of the frame.

Mrs. Black cackled manically, "Mudblood filth I am here to stay, you will never get rid of me..." her voice suddenly fell silent as Faith pulled with all her might, a loud crack split the silence.

Faith looked up at the portrait, "What? No snappy comeback?" she asked with a wicked smile, pulling again as wallpaper and plaster began to hit the floor.

"Stop, stop," wailed Mrs. Black, "Sirius, stop her, my son I demand that you stop her!"

Faith looked over at Sirius who was glaring at his mother with burning hatred as he said, "Do it Faith."

She pulled the portrait to the floor, along with half of the wall. Mrs Black whispered, "Who are you?" her rasping voice made Faith's skin crawl more than her wailing did.

"Faith. The slayer," she said with a smile and as Mrs Black began to shriek again Faith put her boot straight through the canvas, silencing the mad portrait forever.

Sirius was staring at Faith as she stood with her hands on her hips, her boot through what used to be his mothers face. She looked up, flipping her hair over her shoulder as she smiled at him, "Looks like I'm the new lady of the house, "˜yo," she said jokingly as she pulled her foot out from the ruined canvas and kicked it down the stairs.

"You are to me Faith," said Sirius closing the distance between them and grabbing her around the waist. He kissed her, crushing his lips onto hers, she reached up to run her hands through his hair as her mouth opened under his.

His hands slid down her waist to cup her arse and as he lifted her from her ground she wrapped her legs around his waist, locking them behind him. He pushed her up against the crumbling wall and pulled her t-shirt up over her head, throwing it to the floor. She grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled, the material and buttons giving way under her strength as it joined her top on the floor.

She ran her nails through the coarse black hair across his chest. He dipped his head to kiss along her throat and down her chest until he came to the top of her strapless black lace bra. He slid his tongue under the lace tops and growled his frustration at not being able to get what he wanted. She felt a sharp tug and looked down to see the thick strip of lace in Sirius's mouth. He spat it out and ran his tongue over one pink nipple, causing her to gasp, and throw her back. He took her nipple into his mouth and began to suck, Faith cried out and ran her nails down Sirius's back causing him to buck against her. She could feel him through his jeans, hard and ready and new she had to have him now.

She slid her leg down the back of his and tapped the back of his knee, causing him to crumble to the floor with her still wrapped around him. She pushed back to stand over him, her legs either side of him and he looked up at her, confusion and lust on his face.

She undid her belt and pulled it out hard, watching Sirius's eyes darken with desire as he watched the heavy leather whip out from around her waist. She made a mental note to put the belt to creative uses another time as she undid her jeans and pushed them down, taking off her boots as she did. She stood before him just in a black lace thong, and Sirius could feel all the blood in his body heading south.

"Take them off," he growled as he removed the rest of his clothes apart from his black jockey shorts.

"No," she said with a little half smile, "You take them off."

He lunged for her and ripped the thong straight off. She stuck out her foot, hitting him in the chest with it, to stop him coming any closer.

His eyes caught hers as she said, "Oh no, bad doggie, I'm in charge here," and she pushed him to the floor as she straddled his knees and pulled down his jockeys. She licked her lips and smiled as his thick hard cock came into view. She bent her head and ran her tongue over the weeping head causing Sirius to shudder with pleasure.

"Faith please," he moaned and she grasped him in her hand and guided him to her entrance, thrusting down to impale herself on him.

They both cried out and Faith wasted no time, pumping him hard and fast. Sirius knew there wasn't a chance in hell that he was going to last so he reached down to where their bodies joined and found her clit, rubbing it with his thumb.

She cried out as her muscles tightened and pulsed around him, making him feel like he was inside a hot, warm vice; he came hard, grabbing her hips and driving up into her.

Faith sat with her head thrown back. She had had a lot of lovers in her young life but she knew she was never going to find one quite like her champion. She almost couldn't wait until next time.

Sirius had his eyes shut, trying to calm his racing heart. She was amazing, like he had known she would be, but she was different from other women. She was the slayer and she was stronger and faster than others. He smiled as he thought of all the fun they would have here, and was suddenly glad to be back home.

He showed her to his room, which was just how he had left it and they both crawled under the covers, the exhaustion of the last week hitting them all at once. Just as Faith was about to drop off Sirius got out of the bed and came around to her side, "Move over Faith," he whispered.

"Why," she slurred, sleep desperately trying to pull her under.

"Because I asked you to," he replied getting in beside her and pushing her over. Her last thoughts before slumber claimed her were that, he had moved to purposely put himself between her and the door, an action that she usually employed, and of how it made her feel completely safe to be wrapped in her champion's arms.

Then the dreams came.

"Do you love him Faith?" asked the former mayor of Sunnydale from behind his desk.

"Yeah, I do," she replied honestly, watching him straighten up his desk, a task he used to do about fifty times a day. "What's up boss," she asked, "what was with the big snake thing last time?"

"He doesn't like me coming into your dreams Faithy, says he's the only one who can be in your dreams," he replied, "I told you not to go to England but you youngsters always follow your hearts."

"Do you know what's going to happen?" she asked, lowering her voice, "Is this Voldie guy gonna win, is that young kid gonna lose?"

"I can't tell you that Faith, all I can tell you is this, remember when you told Buffy how to kill me, to use my human weakness. You."

"I remember," she said quietly, looking down.

"Oh come on now, none of that," he said coming around the desk and touching her chin to make her look up at him. "Human weakness Faith. Love. He will use it against you, the love you've found."

"Sirius," she breathed.

He put a finger to her lips. "Don't reveal too much in these little chats of ours, in here," he said gesturing around his pristine office. "There are rats in every corner Faith, just waiting to take a chunk out of you and your puppy," he smiled suddenly, that brilliant smile that used to warm her heart. "Say, you always wanted a puppy, didn't you? And now you have one," the smile vanished as quickly as it appeared. "Love, Faith, it will be your worst enemy and your best friend in these coming months. He doesn't understand it, that's how you and your friends will beat him." He touched her cheek and gave her a small smile, "I miss you Faithy," he sighed

"I miss you, too," she said, her words loud in the silent bedroom. Sirius rolled over and slung his arm across her waist. The last thing she remembered of the dream was hearing the scrambling of rats in the walls.
