Harry's P.O.V

-------------

I sit huddled in the lounge room, my knees to my chest as I breath in and out painfully. People keep their distance- obviously convinced that my condition is due to the battle. I ached all over. Not from the many bruises I sported. Not from the sheer extensiveness of the battle. Simply because one half of me had died. I had little time to wait- but that was still too long. The talking was at a level that was painful to me. People should be mourning not celebrating. Why didn't they understand. I watched as the couples and lovers around the room sought out their partners and hugged them in relief to see them safe again. I cringed. Salt to a wound that was far too open and far too fresh. The pain in me ebbed with every second. His scent still strong in my nose, his taste still fresh on my lips. I sobbed violently into my knees, breathlessly and painfully. I hadn't even noticed the hush that befallen the crowd. Hadn't felt anyone move toward me. When someone put their hand on my shoulder I shook it off. I still had Draco's scent on me- I wanted it to last as long as I could make it.

"Look at me love." I froze. That voice. I looked up through tears, through pain and saw him. Saw my future standing before me. I looked around and saw everyone staring at me. Did they not see him? Had they all begun to think I was insane? I turned back to my beauty and sobbed. "You left me. You promised me you would still be alive when I got back." My voice cracked as I spoke. Concern appeared on peoples faces, a hum went around the room. Draco's face twisted in confusion. I looked over to Narcissa who was sobbing in Lucius's shoulder, Lucius was staring at his son in bewilderment. "Harry, Love, I am not dead." As if to prove it, he pulled me to my feet and wrapped his arms gracefully around my neck, dragging my face down to his. His lips pressed softly against mine and his scent filled my nose. My eyes opened wide in realisation. He was here. He was alive. I crushed him to me in a brutal embrace and devoured his mouth.

My need to soothe my own fear and make him mine were so strong that it had everyone in the room in a trance. A dainty hand on my shoulder made me snap angrily. "What?" I hissed at Hermione as I faced her. "Harry. Now is not the time. Look." She motioned to the room and I saw everyone's faces flushed with desire. Their eyes glazed over. I had sent out my pull. They were our captive audience. With the pull gone now the room snapped out of the trance and began talking excitedly once more. Narcissa and Lucius came to our side. Hugging Draco in turns. Everyone was still wary of Lucius, but most just let it be. "Oh Draco! my baby! My darling!" Narcissa cried over and over as she held Draco to her and stroked his hair. "Mum. I'm ok. It's ok." He pulled away and grinned at her. "See?" Lucius smiled and shook his head. When all was said and done. There were going to be a lot of explanations needed.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Draco's P.O.V ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We all stood in the front yard, watching people apparate. Tonight would be full of celebrations. The Wizarding world could finally rest easy. The remaining death eaters had been rounded up and taken to Azkaban. I shifted slightly, the bruises on my legs causing me some slight discomfort. Harry's arms tightened around my waist. He hadn't let me go or out of his sight since I had returned from the forest with the small troop I had taken. It was comforting and annoying all at once. I had no issues with my lover seeing me naked as we showered, but he wouldn't even let me be when I had to use the bathroom.

"Harry, I am not going anywhere love I promise." I assured him as best I could. He kissed my neck gently and sighed. "I am not willing to leave that to chance." He stated simply. Finally it was just my family and the Weasleys, Harry and Severus. "Draco we are returning to the Mansion. Would you like to join us?" I looked to the Weasley's and smiled. "Yes, of course." I looked to Harry. "I guess that means you are coming to?" I asked hopefully. He nods at me and looks towards the Weasley's. "I will return in a day or so." He tells them quietly. Peeling himself off me to go and hug them all. His eyes never leave mine. "Of course you are all welcome in our home at any time." My mother tells them honestly, with a smile I had not seen her use before. It was so genuine. Harry joins my side once more and I sigh. We walk to my parents and huddle as a group; with one last wave to the red headed clan we apparate. It was going to be a long night.

A/N: I know this is short and kind of pointless. But it chased itself around my head- so consider it a tack on to the last chapter. Enjoy.
