Chapter Fourteen: The Package

Chapter Fourteen: The Package

The next couple of weeks went along uneventfully. Hermione had the extra potions’ classes with Professor Snape on Wednesdays and Friday nights, where he gave her a lot of reading material to read. Harry and Ron were busy with quidditch practices, as was Draco.

Hermione sat at the table in the Great Hall making notes for the Prefects meeting which was arranged tonight in the library. Occasionally getting interrupted by Ron and Harry who couldn’t figure something or other on their homework.

She looked up when she felt someone watching her, and looked across the Hall to see Draco gazing back at her, where he was in the process of setting up a wizards chess game with Blaise. They were trying to keep distant since the potions’ episode, although still on friendly terms. It was hard considering they shared the same common room.

“So why do you need Harry and me there tonight for your meeting Hermione?” Ron asked.

“There’s a suggestion that could concern you, so leave it at that for now, and you’ll find out tonight,” she mysteriously said.

Just then there was a screech from the rafters above as two owls swooped down. One dropped a package in front of Hermione, the other dropped one in front of Draco.

“We don’t usually get mail on weekends. Who’s if from?” Harry asked.

Hermione looked at the return address, “It’s from Jinx at the ‘Temptation’ office.”

“Maybe it’s the magazine.” Ron said excitedly.

“No, it’s too early. I’m not supposed to get the pre-copy until mid-November,” she said as she turned the package around.

Hermione looked over at Draco, who shrugged his shoulders. She untied the string and opened the package and started to lift the contents out when she realized what it was. She had lifted it half out, then put it back down. It was the fuchsia gown and robe that she had modelled, along with the other things she had worn. Inside was a note:

We would like to thank you again. You will be seen in all of these items in the
next issue. Our editor was ecstatic when he saw the result. He is interested
for you to model again for us in the near future.
Hope you enjoy the lingerie, and hope they bring back warm memories.
Best Wishes,
Jinx
P.S. Say Hello to Draco for me.

“Well, what is it ‘Mione?” Ron asked. “Is that what you wore for the magazine? Let’s see,” he said eagerly.

Hermione shut the box on his fingers. “No, you will not see. These are private. You’ll see them when the magazine comes out.”

“Uh, come on ‘Mione, lets see,” he pestered, enjoying the flush that showed on her face.

“NO. I’m going to put these in my room, then talk to Dumbledore before the meeting. See you later, you two,” she said as she walked out of the Hall.

Draco watched her leave the Hall, clutching the package to her. He had watched her open the package to reveal that it was the fuchsia gown. He remembered how she looked in it and squirmed in his seat uncomfortably. “Draco. Earth to Draco, it’s your move,” Blaise interrupted.

Draco moved his piece, where Blaise in turn moved his man. “Checkmate.” Blaise looked over at Draco. “Something wrong, you seem awfully distracted.”

“No. Nothing. Let’s go round up the team for some quidditch practice,” Draco said as he gathered up the game, and his package to open later.

After practice was over, Draco and Blaise went to the Head Common room where they were tossing the quaffle back and forth. “So, what’s been bothering you, you want to talk about it?” Blaise asked.

Draco caught the ball and held onto it. He looked over at Blaise to see the sincere look that he had. “We’ve been friends for a long time right?”

“Yeah.”

“We’ve trusted each other to keep each others secrets, right?”

“Yeah.”

Draco paused. “Well, you know those few days that me and Granger went to the Ministry near the beginning of the school year?” Blaise nodded. “Well, we didn’t go the Ministry. I had escorted Hermione to a modelling assignment.”

“A What???”

“A modelling assignment.” Draco repeated.

“Granger modelling? Like, I know she’s gotten more curvy, but modelling. What was she modelling?”

“Lingerie,” Draco replied.

“Did you say lingerie?” Blaise asked. “How did she look?”

Draco leaned his head back and closed his eyes. “Unbelievable. If you don’t believe me, peek your head through the door to the pool. She’s usually doing her laps in the pool about this time.”

Blaise shook his head in bewilderment and got up to check it out for himself. As he opened the door, Hermione was just climbing up the pool ladder, her hair dripping down her back. She was wearing a black bikini, the top hugging her curves to reveal some major cleavage. The bottoms were french cut, the sides held together with a strip of black elastic. She knelt down to pick up her towel and started to dry herself off. Blaise quietly shut the door and whistled as he sat back down.

“Told you,” Draco smirked. “In that box on the table are some of the things that she modelled.”

Blaise opened the box to an eyeful of colours, in silks and lace. He pulled out the sheer bodystocking and looked at Draco through it. “Was she wearing anything under this?”

Draco smirked. “That is one of my favourites,” he sighed. “She was wearing just a black G-string under it.”

Blaise folded it neatly back into the box, and closed the lid. “What magazine was it for?”

“Temptation.”

“Hey, I have seen that magazine. The women are really hot in there. Good magazine, even if it is a muggle one,” Blaise said.

“There’s more, but you have to promise not to repeat a word of this,” Draco said uncertainly.

“I promise.”

“Well, when the male model didn’t show up, I substituted for him,” he quickly said.

Blaise looked over at Draco. “So, you’re going to be in the pictures with her? Were you in the background, or by yourself?”

“I was in the pictures with her, very close to her. I held her for every picture I was in with her,” Draco replied, as he leaned his head back again.

Blaise noticed the dazed expression on Draco’s face, and the way his eyes lit up when he thought of her. “You fell for her, didn’t you?”

Draco looked over at Blaise, glad to get this off his chest. “Yeah, hard. She’s the only girl I ever had fantasies about after we had sex. I mean, to be so close to her, but not be able to touch her the way I want. And when we touch, there’s no one else that exists around us.”

“Wow. You do have it bad. No wonder Snape switched partners after the shrinking incident,” Blaise smirked. “So, how is Potter for a partner anyway?”

“Actually, he’s tolerable once you get past the ‘saintness’,” Draco smirked.

“Well, now I know what my partner looks like under her robes, and in a bikini,” Blaise laughed.

Draco laughed and threw the ball at Blaise. “Don’t even think about it. She’s mine!”

Later that day, Hermione and Draco looked around the table at the faces of the eight prefects, two from each house, with Harry and Ron sitting at the end.

“Thank you for all coming. We have assembled this meeting to talk about some ideas we had and to take suggestions from you,” Hermione smiled. “First of all, we would like to map out Hogwarts. There are a lot of rooms that are not known. We will take turns and work in pairs, preferably not with the same house. Any comments?”

“Why not from the same house?” A Ravenclaw prefect asked.

“Well, we think there should be more inter-mixing with your fellow houses, get to know each other better,” Hermione replied. “Is there an agreement on this?”

All eight prefects nodded and agreed.

“Second, for the Halloween festivities, we suggest a masquerade ball for third years and up.”

The girls around the table readily agreed, already thinking on what they would wear.

“What about the first and second years? I mean, it’s really not fair to them is it?” A Hufflepuff asked.

“You have a point. Does anyone have any suggestions on this?” Draco agreed

“Why don’t they have their own party in the small ballroom opposite the Great Hall?” A Slytherin suggested.

Draco looked over at Hermione, who nodded in agreement. “Sounds like a good idea. We’ll bring it up with Dumbledore. Are there any other suggestions you would like for us to bring up with him?”

Hermione had her quill ready to take notes. As the prefects were firing away suggestions, she felt Draco’s hand on her upper jean-clad thigh, rubbing back and forth. She reached down and linked her fingers through his under the table.

“How about a casual day once a week, or a change of uniform?” Hufflepuff asked.

“More Hogsmeade visits,” Ravenclaw piped up.

“How about a study group for students that are having problems?” A Gryffindor asked timidly.

At that question, Hermione looked at Draco who nodded. “That is a very good idea, if Dumbledore is for it, I would be willing to help with that. A few other seventh years would most likely be willing to pitch in also,” Hermione smiled. “Now, Draco has an idea that he would like to run by you.”

Hermione gave Draco’s hand a squeeze before Draco started. “Well, I fully enjoy playing quidditch, as I am sure Harry and Ron would agree. My idea is to have a fun league where anyone can play, with the coaching of some seventh years who have been playing for a while. After all, a first year who dreams about playing one day, can get a head start on the fundamentals of the game. They could be the next player to make the big league. I think we should play on Saturdays, and have mixed teams where everyone can get to know each other.”

Harry looked over at Ron, surprise clearly showing on his face. To hear Malfoy say their actual first names without the usual sneer, and that he was thinking of someone other than himself. “Who would be coaching?” He asked.

Draco walked around the table, as Harry and Ron stood up, prepared for anything. “Well, I was hoping you and Ron would be two of the coaches, along with me of course,” Draco smirked, as he held out his hand to shake in a long-awaited truce.

Ron and Harry shook his hand hesitantly.

“Now, if there’s nothing else, this meeting is adjourned. Before you leave, please pick up your patrol roster with what to watch for when you are patrolling the school and grounds,” Hermione instructed.

Harry and Ron took her aside after everyone else left. “Was I hearing things, or was Malfoy actually . . . nice?” Ron asked, still not believing the turn of events.

She smirked, seeing the confusion evident on their faces. “Give him a chance, will you. Let the past go, he’s a different person from who we used to know and hate.”

“Well, whatever. Can’t promise you anything Hermione,” Harry replied. “We’ll see you tomorrow,” Harry added over his shoulder as they walked out of the library.

Draco waited for Potter and Weasley to leave, which left Hermione alone with him. He pulled her between the shelves in the back corner, then put his arms around her waist and pulled her close. “Finally, alone. There’s something I’ve been wanting to do to you all week.”

“Oh, and what would that be?” She asked, as she put her arms around his neck.

“To kiss you breathless,” he huskily replied as he leaned down to show her. First he planted a light kiss at the corner of her mouth, then brushed his tongue along her lips. As her tongue came out to meet his, he groaned low in his throat and deepened the kiss as he pressed her against the wall. His fingers went into her silky strands of her hair, to pull her head closer to his. Her hands went down to his hips to pull him closer, his erection pressing against the restriction of her clothes. She was so wrapped up in the kiss, she didn’t notice that her T-shirt came untucked from her jeans, where his hand was sliding up to cup her breast.

At that moment, they heard a book crash to the floor, which shook them back into their senses. Hermione reluctantly pulled away, tucking her shirt back in “Well, I’m going to go for a swim before bed. Care to join me?” She seductively asked.

“You don’t have to ask me twice. Meet you up there,” Draco smiled, stealing one last kiss before they separately left the library.

What they didn’t notice while they were making out in the corner, was Pansy, who had happened upon them while she was getting a dark arts book to bring back with her. When she came around the corner and saw Draco . . . her Draco, kissing that mudblood, she wanted to beat the shit out of her. She dropped the book with a crash, and ran out of the library. A plan starting to form in her evil little mind.
