Chapter 12 – Their Notes; His Condition

Remus stared at this lap, were Ginny had just been. He could smell her scent in the room and feel the heat her body had left on him. Damn!

Standing up, he walked across the room. He should have said \'This isn\'t right Ginny, we should stop.\' That would have been the right thing to do - but he\'d wanted to say, \'Hell yes I\'d ravish you anytime you wanted! What do I look like? A monk?’

Instead, he\'d fumbled and stammered and she\'d left, taking her temptation far away - that was a good thing. Right? He looked about the living area for the book he\'d been reading, but his eyes fell on something else...

\"Well hello there... what\'s this?\"saidsaid aloud, picking up the clipboard.

\"Lupin, Remus,\" he read aloud. Lupin, Remus grinned and sat down. This was going to be interesting reading.

Lupin, Remus. Age, 43. Sex, Male. Known Allergies: Silver.
Medical Conditions - Lycanthropy Current medications: Reduced Wolfsbane Potion, Calming potion, and Pre-transformation Potion.
Weight: 165 pounds. Height: 5 feet 11 inches.
Referance Vitals - Resting HR: 68 bpm BP: 110/60


Remus shuffled through the clipboard, looking for the most recent additions Ginny had made. Ahhh here it is. Sept 7th.

Medi-witch charged with patient care from Sept 7th through Septh 12th: Weasley-Longbottom, Ginny.

Reason for observation: side effects for reduced Wolfsbane Potion. Requested by Potions Master.

Potions Master responsible for brewing medications in this case: Snape, Severus.

Sept 7th – 8:02 am. Patient is agitated at medi-witch. Patient shows normal vitals and ate none of his breakfast. Pre-potion was taken at 8:34am, and patient was reading as medi-witch left. Will monitor food levels and vitals. Suggest course of stronger calming potion may be added to medication course in future.


Note to Medi-witch from Potions Master: It was very clear in directions Medi-witch was to detail food given and eaten. Said notation not present. How agitated was patient? Should a new Medi-witch be assigned to patient for week long observation? Also, medi-witch failed to note vitals.

Reply to Potions Master from Medi-witch: ate none. Will report at lunch if any food is missing from trey. Vitals: BP: 114/64 HR:72bpm Medi-witch suggests Potions Master back off. Medi-witch is fully trained and will be taking care of patient. Besides, Poppy is away at a conference and Hermione is about to deliver.

Reply to Medi-witch from Potions Master: Hermione is about to deliver? As in, when? Because she didn’t tell Potions Master about that.

Reply to Potions Master from Medi-witch: Medi-witch was only making an observation based on her carrying so low and being at thirty-nine weeks. Patient wasn’t very agitated, simply not pleased with Medi-witch being there.

Sept 7th – 12.46pm Medi-witch notes no food was eaten from breakfast trey. Patient drank pumpkin juice and ate part of a chicken sandwich at medi-witch’s insistence.

Patient seems at ease with Medi-witch and even apologized for insisting Medi-witch drop case. Medi-witch plans on offering Patient a lollipop for finishing dinner tonight.

Note to Medi-witch from Potions Master: Medi-witch needs to grow up. Grown men do not like lollipops. On a related note, has Hermione dilated any more?

Note to Potions Master from Medi-witch: Everybody likes lollipops. And Hermione\'s dilation is not a related note. And yes, another half centimeter. Could be any day now.

Note from Potions Master to Medi-witch: Good. On related note, am glad Medi-witch and patient managed to cease lovers spat. Maybe results of BP and HR will be usable.

Note from Medi-witch to Potions Master: Patient and Medi-witch are not lovers and were not having a lover’s spat. Patient and Medi-witch are friends. Medi-witch is married.

Note to Medi-witch from Potions Master: Medi-witch is separated, not married.

Sept 7th, 6.29 pm, food eaten: shepard’s pie, green beans, corn, pumpkin juice, blueberry cobbler. Vitals: BP 124/74 HR: 78
Mediwitch served Patient dinner for two, and Patient was... rude and tense that Medi-witch was present... Medi-witch suggests Patient be euphonized.

Note to Medi-bitch from the Master of all that is Potion -Related`: Medi-witch suggests patient be put down? Did patient suggest medi-witch was gaining a little too much around the hips?

Note to Master of Nothing, not even his domain, from Medi-Witch: Medi-witch is perfect weight for her height, and Potions Master really needs to visit patient tonight at midnight. Bring raw steak, smeared on body.

Note to Mega-Bitch from Master of all domains, great and small: Master suggests Medi-witch do her job and report correctly. Did Patient take potion? And was lollipop useful in getting patient to take potion?

Note to .. oh screw it - yes, Severus, Remus took the freaking potion and I don\'t think he liked the lollipop. Bastard.

Note to Ginny: He kissed you again didn\'t he?

Note to Severus Snape, Master of the Love connection from Ginny Longbottom, loser: Yeah. Then he yelled at me to get out. Hold on - How did you know he\'d kissed me?

Patient was alive.

Note to Medi-witch from Potions Master: Again, I ask, did Patient take calming potion?

Note to Potions Master: yes.

Extended Notes on Patient: Patient seems to understand ramifications of mistaken apologies. Would like to withdraw suggestions for putting Patient down.

Note from Potions Master to Medi-witch: Don\'t think twice about it. I didn\'t.


Sept 8th, 12:38pm Patient tried again to engage Medi-witch in heart to heart. Medi-witch suggests possible silencing charm for Patient, as his foot seems to wind up in his mouth often.

Note to Medi-witch from Potions Master: Did they even teach you how to report vitals in that school you went to?

Remus flipped through the next day or so. Dumbledore had brought him his meals and quiet pleasant conversation actually. The old man seemed to be putting drops in his eyes every thirty minutes, and when asked about it, Dumbledore had actually grumbled and said, \"Mrs. Snape suggested I see a Muggle eye-doctor. Something about advanced aging and eye problems. So I humor her for now. She’s rather testy when pregnant, wouldn\'t you agree?\"


Sept 9th, 7:21 pm. Patient was delighted to hear about Baby Boy Snape\'s \"huge tackle\". Patient appears to be in fine mood. BP: 135/90 HR: 86

Patient reacted very badly to news Medi-witch would be with him the whole night taking vitals. Patient had unusually reaction oeatieating and then confessed to side effects.
HR: 137 BP: 142/92

Mediwitch threatened Patient with Vertiserum to tell the truth.

Note to Medi-witch from Potions Master: Ginny? What side affects?

Patient was confronted about attempted assault on medi-witch.
Patient denied.
Potions Master detailed injuries medi-witch sustained.
Patient confessed to side affects detailed as extreme arousal.

Note for Potions Master: Replace oyster extract with clam extract.

Note to Medi-witch from Master of all that is Potions Related: Patient says attempted rape was nothing more than a \"serious snogging session\" and that Medi-witch was \'more towards the encouraging side then anything else\'. Is this true Medi-witch?

Note to Potions Master from Medi-witch: I refuse to answer.

Note to Medi-witch from Potions Master: If you do not confirm this story, he will be detained.

Potions Master made suggestions to Patient to keep his teeth off Medi-witch’s neck and his wand handy. Patient agreed Medi-witch has an awful temper.

Note to Potions Master: Screw you! And I’ll be taking dinner to him! So back off!

Remus leaned back from reading his chart. That was rather enjoyable. Ginny and Severus were obviously close enough to needle one another without hard feelings.

As Remus looked at the last page of the chart, something started writing across the thin paper....

Note for Case Lupin, Remus: Medi-witch Weasley-Longbottom, Ginny has handed the case over to Snape, Severus, sighting personal conflicts with Patient.

Remus frowned. Damnit. She wouldn\'t be coming back, and he couldn\'t get out of this room for another thirty hours. Well, it certainly appeared that he had a lot of thinking to do, just like Ginny said.
