Ch 13

NOTE: I know I switched writing styles on you guys, but the way I wanted the last chapter...1st person just works better...Anyways, Remember to R&R! And I must admit I like to receive input! You never know if one of YOUR ideas might break a writer's block!

Draco was very curious and not to mention being the Prince of Slytherin made him entitled to his house mate's business. What on earth could catch his interest, you wonder? Oh maybe why his very new house mate was sneaking out of the dorm? Draco checked his watch, 11pm. What could keep a new student so occupied her very first night?

And just like that the new student entered the common room. Lanna stood before him wearing worn in blue jeans and low cut V-cut sweater. Along with a surprised facial expression. "Draco! Why are you up?"

Raising his eyebrow Draco answered, "I'm a prefect. You're my house mate. When I noticed your absence I waited up."

Lanna raised an answering eyebrow, "Sorry, next time I'll tell you not to wait up, husband."

Draco blinked. Husband?

Lanna rolled her eyes, "It's a joke. You waited up for me like a worried spouse, get it?"

"What were you doing?"

Lanna blinked, "Didn't know my business was your business."

He stared her down waiting for her to fidget and tell him what she'd been doing.

"Look, Draco...It really isn't your problem, and you either wouldn't believe me or...you wouldn't approve."

"What wouldn't I approve of?"

"I'm helping someone."

Those three words gave it away. "Potter."

Lanna did fidget this time, "Well, yeah. I don't think that it's right that Dumbledore is just sacrificing him. In fact... it's wrong. But...it's too late, this Voldemort person is already after him, so I'm going to try and teach him to fight back. Hopefully he won't be like Richard."

Draco's jaw hit the floor and for about half a minute he was rendered speechless. "You know that you're putting yourself in danger right?"

"All I'm doing is training him. Don't worry."

Draco shook his head. "No, you're helping Potter. Helping Potter in anyway would be to cross the Dark Lord...and that means an automatic death sentence. He'll view you as an enemy."

"I'd like to see him try."

Draco leaned over, put his elbows on his knees and cradled his face in his hands, watching Lanna.

Lanna sighed, walked over and lightly brushed her lips across his cheek to his ear, and whispered, "Trust me..."

Draco eyed her through narrow eyes, "What if I said, I'd rather you played it safe?"

Lanna smiled, "I'd call you a worried boyfriend."

Draco tilted his head to the side thoughtfully, "Hmm, I don't know...I guess you're attractive enough, a Slytherin...but are you a good enough kisser?"

Lanna smirked, "Ha! Nice try, better luck next time." And without another word went to her dorm. With Draco smirking after her, of course.
