Epilogue

Hermione smiled as she watched three of their five children run around the back yard of Snape Manor. It had been nearly twenty years since Harry defeated Voldemort. Hermione and Severus had gotten married two years later, once Hermione finished her apprenticeship. She was now a successful Potions Mistress and helped run the apothecary Severus open five months after the battle.

Hermione and Severus had two boys and three girls. Their oldest child would be starting her last year of Hogwarts and was going to follow in her parent’s footsteps and go into potions. Her name was Keilani. Next there was fifteen year old Cody, would be starting his fifth year. He was head strong and brilliant. He was still undecided as to what he wanted to do with his life. Their third child currently at Hogwarts was Donovan who would begin his first year. Keilani and Cody were sorted into Slytherin and Hermione and Severus bet Donovan would be sorted in Ravenclaw.

Then there were the two children still living at Snape Manor eight-year-old Kiara, who reminded Severus a lot of himself at the same age. Then the youngest, six-year-old Seraphim. She was Hermione and Severus’ miracle child. Four months into her pregnancy, Hermione was emitted to St. Mungo’s. She remained there for the rest of her pregnancy. There was a point where the medi-witches and wizards, were sure they were going to lose both Hermione and Seraphim.

“We’re home!” Severus called out as he, Keilani, and Cody came walking out into the backyard.

“Daddy!” Seraphim and Kiara cried as they rushed toward him.

“Hi dad!” Donovan waved as he continued jumping rope.

“How are things at the shop?” Hermione asked.

“They’re fine mother. The shipment from Egypt arrived today and father let us help with the inventory,” Keilani answered.

“It was great mum. I never knew most of those ingredients even came from Egypt,” Donovan exclaimed.

“That’s because you weren’t paying attention to Uncle Draco in potions class,” Keilani smirked.

“Oh and you’re Miss Perfect. I heard Ryan talking about how you almost fell asleep in Uncle Draco’s class last year,” Donovan shot back.

“That’s enough of that. Now you two better go inside and clean up. Cody, you too. Harry and Ginny will be here to pick us up in half an hour.” Hermione said with a smile.

Severus held Hermione as they sat on the back porch swing staring at the stars. The children were finally sound asleep and peace and quite had settled over Snape Manor once again.

“Harry and Ginny have invited us over for dinner next week,” Hermione said.

“Then we’ll be there. We’re very lucky,” Severus sighed.

“No, we’re blessed Severus. We have five of the most wonderful children, the greatest friends, and peace from Voldemort,” she whispered.

Severus nodded in agreement. He leaned down and pressed his lips to hers. Even after all these years, their love for one another hadn’t faded; it grew stronger with each passing day. Under a blanket of stars, they sat their holding one another and thanking whatever deities were listening for their happiness.

Seraphim (Hebrew) - burning; ardent. Bible: Seraphim are the highest order of angels.
