Chapter Twelve: Died in My Dreams
**Please do not comment on how I write. It's simple. If you don't like it, you don't have to read it. If there are mistakes however, you are more than welcome to point those out. This is Harry/Draco and will get dirty at some point, so please be patient.**
This is it, people! The last chapter!! For those who enjoy it, please look forward to a new series starting next Friday, containing Harry/Snape!
CHAPTER TWELVE: DIED IN MY DREAMS
Draco lay awake in the huge bed they had purchased together, knowing that it was too big for him alone. Yet it couldn’t be helped, Harry was not here to fill the empty space. Instead of dwelling on it, he heaved himself out of bed to continue filling his mind with work.
The children were at Ron and Hermione’s for the week and their father was definitely feeling lonely in the giant house. ~Only a few more days until…no I won’t let myself think about it.~ Draco shook the thoughts from his head as he made his was to the study. Opening the double doors he looked inside, seeing the matching desks made him want to flee. So he did, to the other study that was his alone. Draco didn’t know how long he worked, but when his eyes found a clock he discovered that he had lost more time then he thought. Not to mention that there was a piece of parchment stuck to his cheek.
Yawning, he finally felt exhausted enough to fall asleep in his own bed, instead of at his desk. Standing, he heard a small thump and looked back to see a blanket on the floor. Suspecting Kreacher had covered him, he picked it up and put it over the back of the chair before making his way back to the bedroom. Once again he did not bother to take off his clothes as he dropped into the bed, completely drained.
Turning toward the side of the bed, putting his back to the huge expanse of the now green sheeted abyss, Draco nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt something warm press up against his back, an arm over his waist, pulling him closer.
“If you sleep in your clothes they’ll get all wrinkly,” A voice muttered sleepily.
“Merlin, Harry, you scared me half to death,” Draco said, lacing his fingers with his panther’s. “I wasn’t expecting you home until the end of the week. What happened?”
“I wasn’t getting the rest I needed, because my big, strong dragon wasn’t there to scare the nightmares away. So they sent me home with a promise to get lots of rest,” Harry murmured.
“Well then, I’ll have to make sure you get every moment of rest you need. After all, when you were dead for almost two minutes I thought I’d go with you. You have no idea of how glad I am that they brought you back to me,” Draco said, turning and kissing his panther.
“Me too…if I had died while you lived on, our kids would probably be raised by someone else,” Harry laughed lightly.
Draco smiled. “I’m glad you’re home, but if you ever almost die or not come back to me, I will find a way to bring you back so I can kill you myself.”
“Deal,” Harry yawned. “Draco?”
“Hmmm…” Draco replied sleepily.
“I’m giving you my two weeks notice. Sorry, no more Auror Harry for you,” He said, cuddling into Draco’s chest.
“Fine by me,” Draco said, wrapping his arms around his love.
