Suspicions
QN: Angel, you\'re right, I\'m wrong. Problem is, I know Hermione\'s birthday is on the 19th. But, for some god forsaken reason, I keep wanting to say the 18th. As for Harry\'s, I\'m always having a hard time remembering his birthday, and I don\'t even know why. How hard is it to remember the last day of July?
Oh, and Heidi, to clear up, the spell was placed on Halloween. The lifting of the spell will be on Valentine\'s Day. According to my story, it was Valentine\'s Day that Eros had been able to help the girl in the other story. So, it\'ll be Valentine\'s Day when Hermione gets help.
So, needless to say, Hermione\'s gotta go through November, December, January, and part of February with this spell. I wonder where she plans on spending Christmas... *Smiles evilly because I know and.. I\'m not teeellliinngg!!!!!*
Anyhoo, on with the show!

Chapter Twelve: Suspicions
Hermione woke a couple hours later. Her small hand brush lightly over the slightly hairy chest and she smiled. It was her first time ever waking up next to a guy... Well, a guy she wasn\'t related to and she had just finished shagging not too long ago.
She was a bit worried that the guy in question was, in fact, her Potions Master. But, at the same token, she knew it was all part of the spell. She also knew it was possible that this man could be her one true love.
She gazed up at his face and sighed. He looked so peaceful when he slept. As though his worries were nothing. She wondered if he knew how handsome he was, though she doubted it. Something told her he had not a clue.
Wait. When did she start thinking Snape was handsome? She wrinkled her nose as she pondered that thought.
It was true she had had a crush on him briefly in third year. Hell, she had had a crush on him briefly in first year as well. And who could blame her? For all his antics and sarcasm, he was an intelligently, sexy man. His voice was deep and velvety, a barely noticeable husk to it at all times.
Although his hair was somewhat greasy, she knew it was because of the potions. Hell, even her hair got a bit greasy when working on potions. Considering he was constantly bent over some cauldron or other throughout the day, it didn\'t surprise her one bit.
But, he loved his work. As much as he despised the students he taught, he was fully passionate about the subject. She admired him for that.
Careful to not wake him, she slowly turned around and gently got out of bed. Quiet as a mouse, she dressed and ran her fingers through her hair. She had promised to talk to Harry and Ron tonight. She couldn\'t disappoint them.
"Where are you going?" his silky voice came from the bed.
She turned to face him. The look he gave her was purely sensual. If she didn\'t know better, she\'d think the sex had made him want her even more. She answered, "I promised my friends I would meet them after my detention. It\'s midnight and I still haven\'t turned up. They\'ll be worried if I do not show soon."
She watched him get out of bed himself. Her eyes were mesmerized by the package he carried in front of his hips. Was that really inside her at one point?
"If you continue to stare at me like that, Hermione, I am liable to throw you back upon this bed," he taunted as he moved to his own clothes. "I believe your friends would end up disappointed, for you won\'t be returning until morning."
She blushed and swiftly averted her gaze. He was right. This was not the time to fall into lust. She had things to do.
Instead, she watched curiously as he began to dress himself. "What are you doing?" she asked.
He rolled his eyes. "What does it look like? I am dressing so I may escort you back to your common room," he replied as he buttoned up his shirt and fastened his trousers.
"That won\'t be necessary," she assured him.
"Believe me, it will be," he argued, though there was no malice in his voice. "I have no intention of having you roam the halls unprotected. There are too many dangers. Remember, I know what this spell is and how it can affect people. What if you were to incidentally bump into one of your fellow schoolmates?"
His reasoning was sound, so she let the matter drop.
As he led her out of his private chambers and took her hand into his, she didn\'t realize how lucky she was. She had no idea of knowing how smart she had been for allowing the professor to escort her.
There, in the shadows of the dungeon, a pair of eyes watched the odd couple walk towards the stair leading to the light. So, Granger has found a way to gain Snape\'s favour? the boy thought to himself as he watched them leave.
He had noticed the way Malfoy treated her. As though she were a prized girlfriend. He had noticed how the pureblood Slytherin had forgotten all about Pansy Parkinson.
There was no mistaken that Granger was a beauty. Proof of that lie within the Yule Ball. That night would remain in his memory forever. She had been the belle that night, outshining every other girl there, including Fleur Delacour.
Apparently, Granger had a thing for Slytherins. First Malfoy, and now the professor. The boy smiled evilly. Well, if she wanted Slytherins, who was he to tell her no?

"Hermione!" Ron greeted as she entered the common room, looking a bit frazzled.
Harry looked up as well, confused by her odd state of... undress? He had always known her to keep herself tidy. So, why...
Not that it really mattered to Harry. She looked good like that. Course, in his weird state of mind lately, she probably would have looked good anyway she wished.
"Hey, Ron, Harry. I\'m glad to see you are still up," she told them as she took a seat in one of the armchairs by the fire.
Ron nodded. "You said you wanted to tell us something after detention. So, we decided to wait and hear what you have to tell us," he reasoned.
She sighed as she stared into the fire. A part of her didn\'t want to tell them. She knew that once she did, they would probably do the same that Draco and Snape did. Keep close to her until she gave them what she knew she would have to give. Of course, both of them had continued to stay close to her even after the fact. Snape had even offered to escort her to her dorm room once they got to the painting of the Fat Lady.
She glanced at her two best friends. Her face softened at their expressions. She could tell they both wanted her badly and were desperately fighting for control. Just their courage alone told her she\'d be wrong to pity them. Sympathize, yes. They didn\'t understand the feelings that she knew were suddenly crashing over them like waves upon sand.
She took a deep breath and let it out with a sigh. "Well, I suppose I should start from the beginning," she told them, honestly.
She spend the next hour and a half telling them everything that had happened from the moment she had received the detention from Snape on Halloween night. She told them about the skin on skin contact, detailing which males had touched her and how. She had even told them about what tonight\'s detention had really been and that she had been with Draco already as well.
In all honesty, Harry was shocked. That she would even consider touching either greasy git was beyond him. To know that these sudden feelings were the result of a spell was a relief to him, however. He had always viewed Hermione as the sister he had never had. This sudden change had been disturbing and upsetting to him.
Ron didn\'t know what to feel. He was angry that she had chosen Snape and Malfoy over him to be her first. Since last year, he was sure they would be together. For him, it just felt right. He had even practiced saying her married name a few times: Hermione Weasley. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Weasley. It had a nice ring to it.
Ron didn\'t believe his feelings were the result of this spell. He had always had a crush on her, whether he had admitted it before or not. He figured this spell just helped to bring his true feelings to the surface.
"So, on Valentine\'s Day, you\'re true love will be revealed and this spell will be lifted?" Harry asked once she was finished.
She nodded. "The spell is broken when true love\'s kiss is given on Valentine\'s Day. I was thinking of asking Dumbledore if he\'d mind having a sort of Valentine\'s Day Dance on that day. I don\'t want to make a huge scene, so I figured if everyone was dancing and having fun, then no one would really notice what was going on."
"If Dumbledore agrees to it," Harry pointed out, "though, I don\'t know why he wouldn\'t." He paused for a moment before he said, "So, does this mean we have to... I mean... well..."
Hermione knew what Harry was trying to say and she slowly nodded her head. All three of them blushed at the thought. "But, only when you are comfortable," she added, which helped ease the tension she could see in Harry. Apparently, he was as uncomfortable about the idea as she was.
In fact, the only one that really seemed comfortable was Ron. Well, for the most part. Hermione thought it odd that he wouldn\'t be more uncomfortable. Had he been thinking about her in such a way? Maybe Ron was her true love?
"Well, I think I\'ll head off to bed now," she said suddenly, getting up.
She gave a hasty goodnight and made her way up the stair before either boy could protest. The moment she was safely in her own room, she fell onto her bed and thought over everything that had happened.
She had slept with Snape. More than that, she had enjoyed sleeping with Snape. He was an incredible lover and she found herself secretly hoping he\'ll give her more "detentions."
Harry, she knew, was not comfortable. Being an only child herself, she understood. To him, they were like brother and sister. And she felt the same. She loved Harry. But, she loved him as a sister would love her brother. She couldn\'t think of him in any other way and it pained her more than she cared to admit that she would eventually have to sleep with him.
Ron, however, disturbed her. He was another that she loved. But, like Harry, she loved him as a brother. Apparently, Ron didn\'t share her view. She did not know the depth of his interest in her, but she was sure she would soon find out. Now that he knew of the spell, he was sure to use it to his advantage.
She still hadn\'t told Seamus about it. She figured the spell was already affecting him by now. It made her shiver to think what he could be doing, thinking of her.
Oh, god! Stop it! She berated herself. Just the thought made her queasy.
Thus far, she had been with two guys, Draco and Snape. Yes, she had enjoyed the attention of both males very much. So far, she had touched a total of five guys, Draco, Snape, Harry, Ron, and Seamus.
It was only the beginning of November. February 14th was a long ways away. She had no idea what would happen in the months to come...
