CHAPTER THIRTEEN: There’s Something About Lucius

Hermione Granger-Malfoy reclined in a chaise lounge poolside. It was one of those hot summer days when even a dip in the pool didn’t quite cool you off. Luckily for her, she was a witch and could easily lower the water temperature. She glanced over at Ginny who was reclining in the chair beside her as they watched Harry and Ron shove each other underwater and see how long they could hold their breath. One of these days those two were going to seriously injure each other.

“So where is Lucius?” Ginny asked as she ran her wand over her skin and cast a charm to keep her fair skin from frying beneath the sun.

“In his study, he had some business matters to tend to. He’ll wander out when he gets hungry. I told the elves not to take him food anymore. Otherwise he will stay in there with his ledgers and his files for hours on end.” Hermione sipped her sweet iced tea and readjusted her bikini top.

“Does he realize its Saturday?” She asked.

“Doesn’t matter to Lucius. See, the thing is, he doesn’t NEED any more money. The man could live another hundred and fifty years and not even dent what he has. He LIKES to make money, he LIKES to put together these deals for Draco. It’s all very strange, most people work because they have to, but not Lucius, he enjoys it.”

“Wow.” Ginny said softly. Hermione looked up and followed the line of her gaze. Lucius was strolling across the veranda wearing only a pair of green swim trunks with silver piping down the sides. The waist tied just below his belly button and showed off his washboard abs perfectly. His platinum locks were pulled back and tied at his nape, and she could see the soft glittering of his diamond earring in the sunlight.

“I know, its disgusting isn’t it?” Hermione said as she ogled her husband.

“Yeah, disgusting how incredibly gorgeous the man is.” They watched him strut, and oh did he ever strut, across the tiled patio and dive headfirst into the pool.

“I never get tired of looking at him, that’s for certain.” She nibbled gently on her lower lip when he resurfaced. His hair was slipping from its band and he shoved the wet strands back off of his face as he began to swim laps up and down the length of the pool, avoiding the boys.

“I don’t blame you for liking what you see, I like it and he tried to kill me. I wonder if that means I have a psychiatric disorder?” Ginny said.

“Then I’m ready for St. Mungos.”

“Funny isn’t it, despite the fact that he was a top death eater and did in fact attempt to eradicate us, there is just something about Lucius you cant help but want to….”

“Lick him from head to toe like an ice cream cone?”

“Well, I was going to say “like him”, but I suppose I know where your thoughts are running. I take it we now have first hand knowledge of the legendary Lothario Lucius?” Ginny was smiling as she observed Hermione while she watched her husband.

“Uh huh.” Hermione couldn’t take her eyes off of the golden hunk that was now climbing the stairs out of the pool. He pushed his hair back off of his face and smiled at Hermione. The weight of the sodden trunks was pulling them down a little more, and Hermione suddenly wished they were alone so she could convince him to remove them altogether. She jumped when he leaned over her and dripped cold water on her heated body and gave her a quick, smacking kiss.

“Hey, you’re getting me wet!” She cried.

“Now darling, be careful what you say, we have company you know.” Lucius leaned close to her ear and whispered, “You’ve been staring at me like a woman who is starving and I were a juicy steak.”

“Can’t help it. You shouldn’t be so delicious.” She said, smiling up at him. He grinned back at her and sat down on her chaise, sliding over and moving her legs so he could sit between them and lay his cold, wet skin against her. “You are a menace at times Lucius.” Hermione laughed as the cold pool water began to soak into her swimsuit and the cushion of her chair.

Lucius accio’d a pair of dark sunglasses and a comb from the house. He put the glasses on and handed the comb to Hermione.

“Comb my hair, sweet. I don’t want it to tangle.” He crossed his arms over his bent knees and closed his eyes, enjoying the warmth of the sun. Hermione glanced over at Ginny and smiled, her friend was watching with envy as Hermione stroked the wide toothed comb through the gorgeous blonde wizard’s famous locks.

“I’m glad you could join us Lucius, Hermione tells me you had business to attend to.” Ginny said, trying to make small talk. Lucius was enjoying his wife’s soft grooming and sighed.

“I did, I got a little behind yesterday and didn’t get anything done.” He said, groaning softly when her fingers rubbed against his scalp.

“Oh, did you two go on another outing yesterday?” Ginny asked. She had heard about the museum, and was so jealous that her friend was being romanced so sweetly by her mate. Harry’s idea of romance was climbing into bed and saying “I brushed my teeth, do you wanna?”

“No.” Lucius smiled slightly. “We just didn’t make it out of bed yesterday.” Ginny gasped in surprise and Hermione tugged his hair gently in admonition.

“Lucius! You shouldn’t tell people things like that.” Hermione chastised.

“What? I didn’t give any details, for all she knows we were playing chess.” He had that smile on his face, the one that meant he was in one of his mischievous, troublemaking moods. He looked over at Ginny. “We weren’t playing chess.”

“I didn’t think you were.” She said, smiling. It was hard not to like him when he was so playful and funny. It made her wonder how someone so interesting could have ever been a death eater to begin with.

“Good, now that we have settled that, when are we going to eat, I’m starving.” He asked as he tilted his head to give her better access to his hair.

“Ron and Harry just went to start the grill.” Hermione said, pointing to the boys who were now arguing over how exactly you started the large, stainless steel monstrosity they had just purchased. She had actually gotten Lucius to go to London and purchase the grill, they had it delivered to the Leaky Cauldron where Lucius compacted the size of it and apparated it home in his pocket. A contractor had then come and altered it so it would not require fuel or charcoal and functioned appropriately in the magical world.

She was sitting behind him so she missed the sly smile that crossed his lips. Suddenly a large ball of fire erupted from the grill sending Harry and Ron scrambling backwards and into the pool. She could see his shoulders shaking with his laughter and knew he was responsible for it.

“Now was that necessary?” Hermione asked, tugging his hair again.

“Ouch, I don’t know what you are talking about, I don’t even have my wand out here.” He said with a grin.

“As if I didn’t know you could do wand-less magic.” She said shaking her head.

Ginny was laughing as Ron and Harry climbed out of the pool. They stood there scratching their heads and staring at the grill, now burning perfectly, and wondering just what it was they had done to cause the explosion. Apparently it didn’t occur to them that a certain blonde wizard was at fault.

“Do you guys want burgers or hot dogs?” Harry called over as he opened the refrigerated cabinet beneath the grills counter top.

“Burger for me!” Ginny called.

“I’ll have a hot dog!” Hermione said. “What do you want Lucius?”

“What’s a hot dog?” He asked. Hermione accio’d a hotdog from the plate and showed it to him.

“These are pure beef, the best. But you can get some that aren’t made from the best parts.”

“It looks like a bloody cock.” He said, his lips curling in disgust. “I’ll have a burger thanks, I’ve had those before at Severus’s.” Hermione shrugged and sent the hot dog back to the grill.

“Why don’t they have the house elves do it?” He asked while he watched the boys turning the meat on the grill.

“Because I gave them the weekend off. You know two of the females are expecting.” Lucius turned and looked at her oddly.

“House elves have babies?” He asked.

“Of course they do, how do you think they reproduce?”

“I don’t know, I never thought about it.” He made a disgusted face, “I don’t want to think about it now.”

He watched the boys as they finished cooking the food and set up a little buffet on the counter top. Hermione climbed from behind him and walked over to fix their plates. Lucius scooted back and reclined on the chaise to watch her. He liked the way she moved. The soft swing of her hips was hypnotizing, and he loved the way she filled out that red bikini.

When Hermione turned around, plates in hand, she caught Lucius ogling her. She walked towards him, deliberately adding a little more swing to her walk. He noticed, his brows lifted and he shifted in his seat, bending one leg so his knee would protect his modesty. She handed him his plate and sat on the chaise beside him.

“Do not get accustomed to this, I am not your slave.” She said, indicating the plate she had prepared for him.

“You could be.” He said softly.

“Excuse me?” Her eyes widened for a moment. “What is that suppose to mean?”

“It means, that if you are up for an…adventure…I could make you my slave, for a little bit at any rate.” He watched for her reactions as he bit into his burger.

“And what if I wanted you to be the slave?” She asked, and smiled when Lucius choked a bit on his food. He reached for his napkin and wiped his mouth. He sat back, his eyes narrowed and focused on her for a few moments.

“If it’s what you really want, then I am yours to command, Mistress.” She hadn’t expected him to agree to it. But the soft, silky sound of his voice calling her Mistress caused her insides to quiver.

“You are a very naughty wizard Lucius.” She said as she bit into her hotdog. Lucius didn’t say anything, so she glanced up at him. He was staring at her mouth, his soft silver eyes turning darker and slightly foggy. She recognized that look now. Normally his eyes were soft and grey, but when he became aroused they began to darken like a storm.

“What?” She asked, “Do I have something on my face?” She was touching her mouth to check for wayward mustard.

“No, finish eating.” He said.

“Why? Are you going to sit here and stare at me while I do?”

“Yes.” He said. “As disgusting as that hot dog looks, watching you eat it is worth having the things for every meal.” She had to blink a couple of times in surprise.

“What are you two chatting about?” Harry asked as he and Ginny sat down in the chaise beside them.

“Hot dogs.” Lucius said flatly, his eyes still glued to Hermione.

“Oh, want me to snag you one?” Harry asked, completely oblivious to the situation.

“No, I want her to eat the one she has.” Lucius drawled as he stared at her mouth. She was blushing furiously, her face and neck bright red.

“Hermione, are you alright? Is there something wrong with your food?” Harry asked. Ginny was glancing between Lucius and Hermione, suddenly she caught on and started smiling.

Hermione took another bite of the hot dog, biting harder than she really needed to as a warning to Lucius.

“Bloody fucking fantastic.” Lucius said.

“What….Oh…” Harry was a little slow, but he finally realized why Lucius was so enthralled with Hermione’s lunch.

Lucius finished his lunch and socialized for a little longer with his wife and her friends. Finally, he needed to get back to his work and excused himself. To Hermione’s surprise, he leaned down and gave her a brief kiss before he left. Hermione and Ginny both watched him as he walked away. Hermione couldn’t help but smile at the little dimples at the base of his spine as they peeked above his trunks.

“Good god Hermione, he’s walking talking sex personified.” Ginny said.

“Believe me, I know.” Hermione said.

“I don’t get it, what is it about him that women love so much.” Ron asked, staring after the wizard in confusion. “Is it the hair?”

“I think it’s his money.” Harry said. “Women like men with money.”

“It’s neither….and it’s both.” Hermione said, a little disappointed when her sexy spouse disappeared into the house. “There is just something about Lucius that you just can’t say no to.”
