Harry Potter And The Delinquient.

Author's Notes: As much fun as I've been having with Hunter's musical talents and the guest performers I felt it was time for him to share the spotlight.

The day after Hunter's talk with Professor Lupin he received a message to report to Professor Dumbledore's office. Hunter knew that Professor Lupin hadn't broken his word so Hunter was a bit curious as to the reason for the summons. Part of his agreement with the Headmaster allowing him to skip classes had involved two weeks of detention with the Headmaster. But I'm not to serve them until after Easter.

He invited Katie to accompany him to see what the Headmaster wanted. As far as Hunter was concerned anything the Professor had to him he could say in front of his girlfriend. Still getting used to that word.

They reached the Phoenix Statue and Hunter spoke the password the message had provided. A few moments later they were standing inside the Headmaster's office looking at both Professors Dumbledore and McGonagall.

"Ah Mr. Catiar and Ms. Bell," The old wizard said to them. "It is good of you to join us so quickly." Professor Dumbledore conjured three chairs as he sat behind his large desk. "Please, have a seat and I shall explain the nature of this meeting."

Hunter, Katie and their Head of House all sat in the offered chairs. Katie sat between their Professor and her boyfriend though there was no real need.

The Transfiguration teacher suppressed a smile as she say Hunter take Katie's hand as they waited to be told why Hunter had been asked to come her.

"Professor McGonagall as informed me of a most intriguing idea and as it pertains to your talents Mr. Hunter, we wanted your opinion on the subject."

"My opinion?" Hunter asks eyeing the Headmaster. "I think this would be quicker and easier if you just told me in plain English what you want and I'll return the same courtesy and tell you if I agree or not."

The old wizard's eyes twinkle as he smiles at the young man. "You come straight to the point," he says. "I shall attempt to do the same. Professor McGonagall and myself were talking about having a school dance this Easter and would like for you to perform at the event."

Katie's mouth falls open as she hears the news. Hunter is being asked to perform in front of the entire school at what is surely to be a major social function.

Hunter remains silent as he considers the offer. After only a few moments he finally speaks. "On three conditions." He says in a calm voice. "ALL three must be agreed to or else you find someone else."

Katie looks at him in shock. Was he serious? This is too big an opportunity to pass up for any reason.

Hunter spoke again in the same calm tone. "The first condition is that I'm allowed my own band and own crew." he looks at the Headmaster and sees that this will not be a problem. "I pick them and I'll teach them what they need to know."

Professor Dumbledore nods. "That will be fine," he says politely. "Your second condition?"

"The second condition is that until the second night after the dance ALL of our detentions are suspended." He can't help but grin at the shock on Katie and Professor McGonagall's faces. "We will need the time to prepare and practice. Our days will be occupied with school and studying for our tests so we will only have a few hours at night for practices."

Professor McGonagall nods as she understands his reasoning for the condition. "That will be acceptable," Dumbledore says. "I shall notify you other teachers."

Hunter nods. "The final condition is that we play regardless of who it offends."

Katie can't believe what she just heard. Hunter may have just ruined any chance he had of finally getting the other students to how good he was.

Hunter of course didn't care if he performed at the dance or not, but if he was going to do this, he was going to do it on "his" terms and no one else’s. "I will provide you a copy of our play list, complete with lyrics so that you are not caught off guard by what we play. However, I will not censor, edit or remove any song on that list no matter how inappropriate or offensive it may be."

Professor Dumbledore had to think about that one for a moment. He had heard a few of the Phantom's more colorful songs and while he himself had enjoyed the songs he still had to consider what the parents might have to say on the matter of what their children were allowed to hear at school.

"You have my assurance," Hunter began again. "That I will limit the number of those type of songs and that they will neither be too offensive or particularly explicit."

With Hunter's assurance given Dumbledore agreed to the condition. "Provided you agree to my condition." The Headmaster said. "While you are given final approval over your band's material, I would wish to be consulted before the final list is ready."

Hunter agreed and said that he would consult the Professor and consider his advise before the final list was completed. They shook hands before Katie and Hunter returned to their common room.

On their way back to Gryffindor Tower Draco Malfoy and his two bodyguards stopped them in the hall. "Hunter," Draco said as if they were old friends. "I'm having a party this weekend and would like to hire you to play for us."

Hunter looked at Draco and appeared to be considering the offer. The truth was that he had no intentions of walking into an obvious trap. Katie however had no intents of hanging around Malfoy any longer. Grabbing his arm she tries to lead Hunter back to their dorm

Hunter smiles at her but doesn't budge. "It's okay Katie," he says to her. "I'll take care of this myself." he turns back to face Draco. "I'll play your party for 500 Galleons," Hunter said. "PROVIDED," he stated quickly. "You follow my directions to the letter."

Draco nodded and listened to what Hunter had to say. 500 Galleons, yeah right. Like I'd ever pay a Half-Blood like him. This had better be worth it Pansy.

"First," Hunter said slowly and clearly so as to avoid any confusion. "I want you to find a large rose bush. I think one of the green houses as some. Look for a stem about one foot long and two inches thick. Make sure it has plenty of thorns."

Katie just stood there and used all of her concentration to maintain a straight face. I think I know where this is leading.

"Then I want you to take it with you to the Great Hall." Hunter continued calmly. "And this is the most important part," He added leaning in to whisper in Draco's ear. "Drop your pants and shove it up you ass."

Draco was stunned into silence as the other boy turned to his girlfriend and the two of them turned to leave. His rage over whelmed him as Draco drew his wand and sent a jinx right at the both of them.

Hunter catches the spell out the corner of his eye and shoves Katie away from him as he turns and doges the jinx. He can see Professor Snape walking around the corner down the hall behind Draco but that doesn't stop him from acting.

Hunter's rage flares to the surface as he feels his magic fill him. "Electrios." He shouts as he throws a ball of electricity straight at Draco's chest. And rushes to his would be attacker.

The spell connects with its intended target causing Draco to fall to the floor was his body goes into convulsions from the electricity. Hunter comes up on Crabbe and Goyle, who obviously forgot their last lesson as they try to stand between Hunter and his prey.

Hunter only spends a second dealing with them as he drops to one knee and grabs the two boys by their crotches. "Shockerious," he calls out as an electric current runs through the two Slytherins causing them to drop to the floor and convulse in pain.

Hunter stands up quickly and closes the short gap between him and Malfoy as Professor Snape comes running down the hall to save his students. Hunter grabs Draco by the front of his robes as the electric current dissipates.

Picking the other boy up, Hunter slams him against the wall and begins using Draco's stomach as a punching bag. The Head of Slytherin gets there just in time to see Draco begin coughing up blood. "Mr. Catiar, that's enough."

Hunter throws Draco to the floor and turns to walk back over towards Katie. He can see that she is visibly shaken by what he has just done. His anger and power fade as he reaches her and he's once again the same guy he was when they first left the Headmaster's office.

"Mr. Catiar," Snape begins. "That will be two weeks detention and 50 points from Gryffindor for each of my students you assaulted."

"Another two weeks and 150 points." Hunter said casually. "I'll see you in class on Monday then." He takes Katie’s hand as they begin walking back to their dorm leaving Professor Snape to tend to his students.

They get back to the Gryffindor Common Room and find Harry and the others sitting around studying. "Good you're all here." Hunter says as they walk over to join their friends. "How would you all like to help me with a project Dumbledore asked me to work on?"

He quickly explains what happened at the meeting before explaining what their assignments. He looks at each of them, especially the guys. "Now this isn't a free pass to get into trouble," he said making sure that they all understood. "Any detentions you have or receive between now and then are only postponed, not cancelled. Got it?"

After they all nodded he began handing out their assignments. "Harry, you've got bass. Ron you'll be on drums, and Angelina you're on keyboards." He looks at Alicia, Ginny and Hermione and grins. "You three will be the backup singers.

"Fred," he said looking at the red head. "You and George will be in charge of effects and lights." He noticed the evil grins on the twins' faces and quickly added. "You'll run your ideas past me and they will not be distracting, absurd, or too flashy. Also they are to in no way shape or form interfere with the band or anyone at the dance."

The twins nodded disappointed that they had to tone down their fun. "Katie, you'll be back up guitar and lead female vocalist. Ginny, you Alicia and Hermione are also in charge of wardrobe. I trust your judgment but this is a rock band which means leather, lace for the ladies and has to be kick ass."

"And what's our name going to be?" Harry asks getting excited about the idea.

"Lion's Pride," Hunter answered with a grin.

Author's Notes: Okay now things are shaping up for a real party. Yes, Hunter can use wandless magic but you have to wait to hear more about that later. Electrios and Shockerious are spells that Hunter learned at his last school and both act like a tazergun. The effects last for only a few seconds but are enough to incapacity most people for several minutes. Admittedly there is the risk of permanent nerve damage and/or paralysis. But it's not like those three didn't have it coming.
