I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
One step forward, two steps back.
"Oh bloody hell, I'LL go see him!!" Nymphadora Tonks-Lupin yelled as she tossed her arms in the air. Remus shook his head as he tried to forget how much the love of his life looked more like a child having a fit than a mother-figure about to go rescue her pseudo-son. "This has gone on long enough Remus and you KNOW it."
"Dora, love, you KNOW we shouldn't interfere." Remus started. His young yet aged face, softening at his wife and mate. She had stormed in; her hair blazing the second Jones had finally allowed her to see the paper, demanding to know everything.
Remus loved Harry there was no denying that. The three of them (Five including Ron and Hermione, six if you counted Ginny) had been through a lot over the past half year. The last thing Remus wanted to do was make things harder for Harry than they already were. And a Male Werewolf walking into a Veela's nest with his possible mate at hand was just asking for trouble. Remus had been trying to get Harry to come and see him after class, which he had for a while, but now the visits where few and far between. And after the article this morning, Harry hadn't talked to him at all.
"Tell that to Severus." Tonks snapped as she narrowed her eyes and put her hands on her hip. Remus blinked, his face blank.
"Locking Harry up in that room with a mate-crazed Veela?" Tonks said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "What in the Hell was he thinking?!!"
"Look, i'm sure it's not gone that far. Severus knows better. I'm sure he talked to Draco and put every measure in place. Besides, Harry is holding his own." Remus said while smiling inwardly at the events of the past two weeks between Harry and Draco. He had to admit, if only to himself, it was amusing.
"Did you ask him to?" Tonks asked quickly.
"No."
"Did you do it yourself?"
"No…"
"Did you tell Harry to?"
"…No…"
"… Then he didn't do it." Tonks stated matter-of-factly. Remus blinked. She didn't really think that, did she? Severus may be a moron, but he wouldn't leave Harry with a mate-crazed Veela without warning him or warding the room, would he?
Remus then paled again. Tonks eyes softened at him. Unlike her, Remus never failed to have trust in all the wrong people.
"I'm going to go talk to him, Remus and I think you should come with. And if he wants out of that Common room, I think we should let him leave. He defeated Voldemort and lost Ginny a month and a half ago. He got out of St. Mungos a month ago and got back to school and tossed in that room two weeks ago." Tonks said then sighed. "He needs a bloody break Remus… the last thing he needs is a Malfoy chasing after him, making things worse."
----------------------------------------------------------
Draco sat in a chair in the corner closest to Harry's bed. He was slumped forward, his face in his hands, trying to deal with the crushing weight that had just landed on him. After he and Harry had… well, shagged, Draco seemed to have gotten his head back.
The bad thing was that it was already too little, too late. Draco had just majorly fucked up…
…and he only had himself to blame.
He should have sent an owl or arranged meetings and started the courting a year ago.
He should have listened to Blaise, Pansy, and Millicent and kept his head on his shoulders.
He shouldn't have talked Severus into the room arrangements and he should have given Harry time to find out what was going on before he…
..Well, before he jumped all over him.
But Harry was too perfect, too pure, and too strong. Draco couldn't control himself. He couldn't let Harry get away and that's just what Harry had wanted to do. He had felt the huge hole in Harry's chest, an empty void, a vast nothingness. A nothingness that screamed out to him from beyond the huge towering walls that blocked Draco from Harry time and time again and that Harry rebuild over and over.
It wanted to be filled; it wanted to be nurtured…
It wanted to be loved.
Draco couldn't resist. It had to be filled, it had to be fixed and it had to be him that did it.
He had to help his mate.
But he hadn't fixed it. Not completely. He had opened the wound, cleaned it out and put a bandage on it.
But now there was a major risk of infection…
…And Harry would hate him for even that.
And on top of that, legally and in the eyes of the Veela community, he and Harry would be engaged, if not married.
Draco had told him his intentions; they had made the first connection. Luckily things weren't totally fucked. For some reason no other connections were made tonight.
And thank GOD Harry hadn't submitted yet or there would have been the possibility that Harry could have gotten pregnant. Draco didn't want to think about that. Now Draco wondered if Harry would submit to him at all. His face stoned as he shook his head again. No, he had to… he had to submit to him… Draco wouldn't…
…Draco wouldn't submit to him… he couldn't.
He sighed and looked to the sleeping form of Harry on the bed. He had to wait now. He had to wait until Harry woke up and try to fix this. Try to help him. He had to be here for him and explain.
Draco had to fix this… he just had to.

Note; I'm going to start writing in smaller chapters, so that means I'll be updating more often. There just won't be as much to read. But it will still be good, I promise.
If you reviewed before, there is a good change i responded on the first page, so… GO LOOK! TY to you all!
Thank you all!
