Meanwhile:
Molly Weasley sat alone in the kitchen of Number 12 Grimmauld Place, staring uncertainly into her tea cup. She was not as one might think reading tea leaves, but merely pondering life. In the last few days she had done something that she never thought she would do, that is, until the situation presented itself.
Arthur padded into the kitchen and took a seat next to his wife. For a short while he just sat there, watching her as she would wrinkle her brow in thought periodically. He had to admit he felt a little bit of pity for his wife. What she had done had gone against many of the things that she herself had stood for.
"Molly, dear... Are you quite alright?" he asked tentatively.
She sighed and looked up at him. "I still can't help but wonder if the decision I made was a decent one. Everytime I run it though my head I come up with the same conclusion. It needed to be done. But ethically, Arthur, I should never have let it cross my mind for one instant."
"Isn't that what I said from the begining? I told you I didn't think it was right to give her a fertility potion without her knowledge or concent. Didn't I say that these things aught not be meddled in?"
Molly gave him a hard look. "Don't you think that I don't know that, Arthur? But all in all it was the best choice. That poor girl was forced into a marriage she shouldn't have been... All Hermione knew was that she had to marry him,"she spat out. "The poor girl didn't know that she must give him children... Can you imagine how well that would sit with her? Isn't it better that I put that potion in with the calming draught? When things happen soon, which they undoubtably will, she will think it was simply nature taking it's course and that it was meant to be. Isn't that better than her looking at a child as a product of a forced union with an unpleasant man?"
"It still isn't right. She should have had a choice in the matter, Molly. And why must you speak of Sirius like that? He's a decent man and I think he just needs a chance to be able to prove that."
"A decent man?" Molly all but shouted. "A decent man, indeed. He is no more than a child trapped in a grown man's body. And just you wait. We'll see how he treats his wife... If he so much as hurts that poor girl I do think I will make good on my promise."
Arthur wrinkled his brow. "And just what promise would this be, Molly," he asked hesitantly.
"I simply informed Mr. Black that should he happen to harm Hermione I would make Azkaban look like a sunny day at the beach for him."
"Molly Weasley! How could you say that? That's just awful!" Arthur stared at her wide eyed. "You won't treat him cruely when he and Hermione come for lunch will you?"
"Of course not, Arthur. Not unless he gives me reason to, anyhow. I'll be my normal cheery self when they are here."
"See that you are..." Arthur said with a sharp look that was totally uncharacteristic for the normally docile man.
"Besides, Hermione is going to need some support after today's Order meeting, and I know that she will not tolerate feuding once the meeting is over..." Molly said quietly.
No one was looking forward to the Order Meeting as it was time to explain to Hermione the full extent of their plan for her safety. And absolutely everyone who knew about the plan also knew that Hermione would be anything but pleased upon it's revalation...
