The character of Lucius Malfoy belongs to J.K.Rowling. I am only borrowing him for a while. No copyright transgressions are intended and no profit is made.

Chapter Thirteen – Everything Changes
Lucius was attempting to process his business investments, but he kept thinking about the reading lesson and trying to decide what to do next. His pupil was so intelligent that it had actually been very gratifying to teach her. He started to understand better what the Hogwarts professors saw in their profession.
His little mistress was clever, bold, and even had the capacity for manipulating him if he wasn’t careful. Lucius was suddenly dumbstruck. By all the Gods, this little female was Slytherin from the top of her head to her dirty little toenails. Lucius’ mind went still. Then the absolute glory of his situation hit him full force. Lucius produced a rare, genuine smile not much seen since the day his son was born. Slytherin. Perfect. His.
Lucius’ heart gave an uneven beat, and then started to race. She was almost his equal in all the ways that mattered to Lucius, and had shown it almost from the first, but he hadn’t seen it. Would anyone from one of the other houses have been able to survive her life? Not likely. She had gone toe to toe with him even from her weak position and had made an advantageous arrangement with him. His respect for her had slowly risen every hour that he’d known her. She had actually been calling subconsciously to their common link. A beautiful, young, female Slytherin to keep him company in his exile. Lucius’ heart sang.
When the first euphoria had worn off, Lucius began plotting his campaign. Now he knew what she would need to trade him for lessons in spells. No less than several years of her life given over to him, both for the two years he was still incarcerated, and for a year or two afterward. In exchange for those years of her life, he would be able to bring her education up to the standards of any other Slytherin female of her age. Or even surpass it. He wasn’t limited by the education system’s rules about which spells, charms, and hexes could or could not be taught at which ages. She could advance at his choice of speeds, fast or slow, depending on her willingness to accommodate his desires, both carnal and generally as a companion.
Being another Slytherin, she would have to be watched carefully; he would have to be very selective about what exactly he gave over into her hands, lest she turn on him. He would just have to make his company so alluring, she would feel it an advantage to stay with him. Manipulating other Slytherins was so much more enjoyable than matching wits with any of the other houses. The others, poor souls, so often tried to play fair.
Not knowing her antecedents put a bit of a damper on his plans, but he would try to learn who her parents were. If they were acceptable he might even be moved to offer his name. Maybe. Or not. That was for the future and didn’t need to be addressed any time soon.
Lucius put his solicitors onto tracking her mother, requiring total discretion from them. If possible, they were to also discover the father of the current prison prostitute. Her appellation displeased Lucius now, and he set about changing her position to an obscure staff member for the Ministry assigned to report on Azkaban from the inside.
Meanwhile, Lucius continued to teach Lea her letters and started stringing them together to form rudimentary words for her. She absorbed everything at lightning speed. Soon she was successfully reading easy material. Lea loved those bookcases, and when she could, she sat on the sofa scanning one book after another, finding a few words she knew and slowly adding to her knowledge. As the weeks, then months went by, Lea’s world opened up through the books she was laboriously studying. Her reading ability got faster and her vocabulary increased enormously.
