“Albus what is wrong?” She asked the moment her head appeared.
“We have caught Peter Pettigrew.”
“I will be right there.”
As Madam Bones said that last part Cornelius Fudge the Minister of Magic came through her door.
“What is going on here?” he asked.
“Albus Dumbledore has just called to tell me that they have caught Peter Pettigrew roaming around Hogwarts. I am going to arrest Pettigrew.”
“Pettigrew is dead, a hero. I am going with you to Hogwarts to see who this imposter is.”
Harry was sat in Dumbledore’s office. “Sirius is going to be free. I am going to have a family now.’ Harry smiled to himself. But a moment later his happy thoughts were disturbed by Fudge. The man visibly started when he caught sight of them, then headed over.
“Moron.” Harry said under his breath. Severus who was sitting next to him snorted. Albus heard also and permitted himself a smile.
“Albus what is Mr. Potter doing here?” Fudge asked.
Albus looked to Severus for permission and at Severus’ nod continued.
“Mr potter is here because he was hurt over the summer. His Muggle relatives were abusing him and have been doing so for years.”
“You did not know this?” Fudge asked Albus, shocked.
“I did not tell anyone one.” Harry interupted.
“Why?”
“Because I did not want anyone to know. Everyone thinks I am a savior, a hero. I do not want to show them what my family did to me. The wizarding world thinks I’m so great.” He said bitterly.
“Harry you are great.” His Dad urged. "You destroyed his body. Only you were able to. And he hasn’t been able to hurt anyone for 13 yrs. I would not be able to do that, not Albus, not anyone”
Harry nodded.
“Albus where is the deatheater?” Madam Bones asked.
“Here he is?” he said pointing to Tonks and Moody who were sat in a corner guarding Peter.
“His name?” she asked Albus.
“Peter Pettigrew.” He answered.
Fudg decided to interrupt. “Peter Pettigrew is dead killed by Sirius Black.”
“That is what I thought as well.” Sais Albus. “Until I was given evidence that peter was alive from both Severus and Remus.”
“Remus Lupin is a werewolf.” He said, dismissing Remus’ word immediately.
That pissed Harry off.
“FUDGE, DON’T YOU DARE INSULT REMUS. HE IS ALSO MY GODFATHER. HE IS A BETTER MAN THAN YOU WILL EVER BE!”
Madam Bones interrupted before fudge could say anything else.
“Severus do you have any truth serum?” Albus asked.
“Yes Albus.” He gave a bottle to Madam Bones, who then administered it and began asking questions.
“What is your name?”
“Peter Pettigrew.”
“Were you the secret keeper to the Potter's?”
“Yes.”
Fudge was shocked.
“Did you sell out to Voldemort?”
“Yes”
“Why did you sell out the Potter's to Voldemort?”
“Because he offered me a place. They left me Remus, Sirius, James and Lily. I felt that I was being used that I was no longer needed.”
With that Albus, Minerva, Severus and Harry were completely pissed off.
That is when Harry came in.
“Why did you do this to me? I did not do anything to you. Why sell them out to him?”
Peter did not say anything
Harry said “They ask you to be their secret keeper for them. To me that is a great honor. And to me you are a sorry son of a bitch. You will not know something good if it bit you on the ass.
“Harry.” Severus said gently.
“No, I am just saying what is on my mind.”
Harry asked Madame Bones to get Peter Pettigrew out of there.
“Peter Pettigrew you are under arrest for the murder of 13 muggles, being an accomplice in the murder of James and Lily Potter, for the framing of Sirius Black and for being a traitor to the light.”
“Fudge I want my Godfathers name cleared of all charges.” It wasn’t a question, it was a statement.
“Mr. Potter it will be done.” Fudge said quietly.
Harry left to go back to the hospital wing.
“Harry are you alright?” Draco asked the moment he came through the door.
“Yes”
“What happened?”
“We got Pettigrew.”
“Really?”
“Yes and Sirius is going to be free. I am going to write to him and Remus.”
With that Harry went to his trunk to get some paper for his letter.
