Uh oh
Draco stood at the kitchen sink washing the dishes. The others were in the garden enjoying a drink and good conversation. Draco lost himself in thought.
"Mmmmm." Draco hummed as Harry snaked his arms around his waist and kissed his neck.
He rested his head on his shoulder. "What are you thinking love?"
"Stuff."
"Anything in particular?"
"Not really, just letting my mind wander. You run out of Firewhisky already?" Draco asked with a smile.
"No just missing you out there. You're missing all the fun. Finish this later." Harry wined.
"But later we'll be..." Draco was interrupted by a large offical looking owl landing on the kitchen table. He walked to it and removed the letter attached to its leg. Harry stared out of the window at the small family he had built himself sitting in the garden enjoying the summer air. "Oh no." Harry turned around and found Draco looking at the letter horrified. Harry crossed and Draco handed him the letter. Harry read the letter and hurried out to the garden with Draco hot on his heels.
"We have a problem." Harry said as he stopped in front of his friends.

"So what do you all think? Is it a yes or a no?" Draco asked his apprehensive looking housemates.
"I say yes. I mean we're all pretty competent wizards, and witch. I'm sure we can handle it right Avy?" Harry said as Avril shifted in her seat.
"So that's a yes from everyone right?" She asked looking around the group. They all nodded. "Well, don't expect me to be civil to him." She said getting up and heading for the door back into the house.
"Wait." Draco said and she turned around. "Let me get this straight, you'll have him in the house but you won't be civil to him?"
"D, listen to me. I have a very bad history with the man, as you well know. But I'm not the heartless bitch most Deatheaters make me out to be. I won't deny the man a place to live. But I swear to everyone here, if he touches me I will kill him. He talks to me about what I consider to be the wrong thing and I will make him suffer for it. He makes inuendos about me or he brings up my past and I will hurt him. Apart from that I don't really see that it's my decision anyway. This is Ron's house. Do what you like. You usually do." She turned on her heel and stalked into the house leaving a stunned Draco in her wake.
"Just give her time, she's just touchy about having one in the house." Sirius said from Remus's lap, where they were perched on the grass.
Ron got up and went to Draco as Harry pulled him into his arms once again. "I'll go talk to her. Tell him he can come. We'll just have to keep the two apart. Considering she avoided Remus for 6 days straight it shouldn't be hard." He turned and followed Avril into the house.

"Thank you for your hospitality in putting me up." He said as he arrived in the Burrow the next morning. Only Draco was there to welcome him. "Where is everyone?"
"Harry's still in bed, Remus and Sirius are in the garden and Avril and Ron have gone into Hogsmeade."
"Avril, as in Madison?" He asked with a look of shock and amazement on his face. "Is she really staying here? I knew you two would get back together eventually..." He gushed. Draco held up his hand.
"Before you get too excited she's not my girlfriend. She's Ron's girlfriend. I'm with Harry. I told you it wasn't a phase but you wouldn't listen. Me and Harry are engaged. And just so you know there are a few rules about Avril."
The man nodded in consent to urge Draco to continue as he digested the news of the engagement. "Go on."
"She doesn't go by Madison any more. She changed it to Avril Lily. Don't call her Madison. Don't bring up her past. Don't touch her. Only talk to her if you have to. Just so you know, this is Ron's house and I owe him big for him letting you stay here, not to mention how much everyone here is not liking the situation. Keep a civil tongue in your head. You're not the boss here alright. In fact if you want a rank to your place in this house it goes like this: all of us and then you. You are only here because you have no where else to go and she won't let you back in the house. Personally I can't blame her. Your room is this way."
He led the man up the stairs to the room that had once been Percy's. Ron and Avril were in Ron's room, Harry and Draco occupied the room that had been Ginny's, and Remus and Sirius had moved into what had been Ron's parent's room. He let the man into the room and told him what time the meals were before closing the door and retreating to his lovers arms.

"He's late." Avril said as the Burrow's inhabitants sat down to dinner that night. "Typical."
"Oh well, he misses dinner he suffers the consequences. Everyone had a good day?" Sirius said as he helped himself to chicken.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He crept to the kitchen, tiptoeing past Ron's room. Unkown to him one of the inhabitants of that room was listening for his footsteps. He crept to the kitchen and to the fridge for the leftover chicken. Damn sleeping through dinner. He was starving. He reached out for a drumstick.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. Remus wants to turn them into a pasta dish tomorrow and he gets very testy if his ingredients go missing. I'll make you something." Avril said from the doorway.
"Thank you Mad..Avril." He corrected himself as he sat down.
"Nice save blondie. So she wouldn't let you in the house. Can't say I blame her. Only reason you're here is because of Draco. Don't go under the illusion that it was me." She said as he heated some water on the stove and then added pasta.
"Do you really hate me that much?"
"What do you think? I warn you right now, if you dare breathe a word to any of them about what went on between me and you and I swear I will kill you. You know I can do it, you helped him to teach me to do it."
"I won't tell a soul. Do you really think that I want my son to hate me anymore than he already does?"
"I don't know, you're the one who glamourised the Deatheater lifestyle. He only joined because you made it seem so great. I tried to talk him out of it. He will have that Mark forever now, he had the choice and you convinced him to make the wrong one. Voldemort should have killed you when he had the chance. Here." She said as she slammed the pasta down on the table before him and cleared away the pot of water with a flick of her wand. "Clean up after yourself. And try not to miss meals in the future." She walked to the door.
"Goodnight princess." She glared at him.
"No one calls me that anymore, refrain from using it. Goodnight Lucious." She said and retreated back to her knight in shining armour, her Ron.
