AN: Well School has again started and I am planning to finally transfer to a 4 year next fall so I have a lot of work this semester. I am just glad I had a chance to finish this. I had it pretty much done except for the end that I had to write. This chapter was a total of 36 pages hand written. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did writing it.

AN2: Thanks for everyone who reviewed last chapter even if I got one who said my fan fic was flat. Ah well I enjoy writing what I like to write.

Note to Anon on Thank you for pointing out where I had made that mistake I will have to go back and fix it when I have time… I did not mean to put that he knew every darks arts spell but I guess my hands got away from my mind and there it was. Well thanks for the review I hope you will still read for more. Miki

Last Chapter:'I will have to start working on my stamina. I thought I could go longer then that. Dammit! What have I been working towards for the last couple of months? But fire magic is so draining. And trying to control it all the way is even worse. That still is not an excuse!' Harry yelled to himself. 'But still is it amazing to think that I even now after I have built up some stamina over these last months, and I just have to think of how much stamina I will have once I master this element.' Thought this inter-dialogue Harry's eyes lids started to close and soon he was fast asleep.

-----Thursday dawned bright and early Harry woke refreshed and ready for a new day. He got dressed into his exercise clothing did his morning exercises then showered and dressed again. Checked that he had all his things for the day he exited his trunk. Shrinking it and then placing it in his pocket. When he walked into the common room he rolled his eyes and heaved a great sigh as he saw Ron and Hermione waiting for him. He ignored then and kept walking. Even when Hermione called after him.

"Harry Please talk to us," Hermione begged as Harry walked past her. Ron stood next to her and fumed his face turning a freighting shade of red. "You should tell us what is going on with you. We have tried for days and hours to talk to you and you won't. What is wrong?" Hermione looked like she might start crying and moment. Harry just rolled his eyes.

"So now The Great Harry Potter thinks he's too good for his friends now." Ron's angry voice rang out after him. He was already to the door his hand reaching out to open it when he stopped. "Use us and then get rid of us. Is that it?" That statement hurt and Harry actually flinched but then brought back his walls around him 'I must keep them safe.'

With his back still turned Harry spoke, "Is that what you think, well then you are stupider then you look, both of you." He did not see Hermione look like she had been slapped, or Ron's face turn even redder as he balled his hands into fist at his side. "You both are a little slow on the uptake. Everyone can tell I just want to be left alone I would have just left school if I still did not have things to take care of."

Harry looked at both of them his eyes racking down both of them. From Hermione who wore her school uniform with her Head Girl badge and S.P.E.W. button sitting next to it. Then to Ron who was still wearing his last year robes that were far to short for his tall body and his prefects badge from last year as well as the S.P.E.W. button though this was most likely because Hermione made him. They made him angry for some reason looking at them.

"You know if you put just half of the effort you do into getting House-elves rights who don't even want rights, into something more constructive I don't know say," Harry took a break and mocked like he was thinking really hard his hand under his chin, "like the war effort and creating a fund for people who have lost everything. Then when this war is over you could actually make a difference in something. I am not saying that I don't believe in giving house-elves rights. Just at this moment it is wasted effort, where you could be doing so much better."

Hermione had gripped the badge tightly in her hand and looked as though she was about to burst into tears yet she was trying to hold them back but failing miserably as they started to pour out of her eyes. Harry just looked at her not feeling guilty for making her cry. He shrugged his shoulders and turned to leave. Stopping in front of the portrait door without looking back he said, "As I said before stay out of my way or I will make you." Harry then opened the portrait door and walked through shutting it behind him.

Harry leaned against the side of the portrait and sighed. He might have been a little hard on Hermione. 'But it was true,' he told himself. 'If she put half as much effort in the war it might end with not so much devastation. For there will be people who will loose everything. So far the only funds that have been set up at all for the war effort have been from me when I went through my vaults. That won't be enough there are still people out there from the first time that have nothing still because nobody did anything to help them the first time. This cruel, cruel world.' Harry sighed pushed away from the wall and headed towards the Great Hall for breakfast.

Once again when Harry entered the room the chatter died on every ones lips as they turned to watched him. He scowled at them all which made most look away. Though the few brave ones watched in an almost morbid fascination as though hopping he would lash out again at someone so they could watch. He ignored them and walked to the end of the table where he sat took out one of his many books and started reading as he pulled out two pieces of toast towards him and put on his plate. Quickly buttering them and putting the end in his mouth as he chewed as though on auto pilot. Some of the more brave Gryffindors tried to start him in conversation. He simply shrugged when asked a question and they eventually gave up.

-----

Transfiguration was boring to say the least. Harry ideally wondered if he could test out of this too, but no that would make people even more specious. Anyway it gave him time to plan out his project for Herbology even if he had already wrote out the report about it he needed to put the finishing touched on his idea before he started it. Time seemed to slow to a crawl as Harry transfigured his nose into a button before transfiguring it back. McGonagall had given him praise as she watched him. He was past even Hermione who was still working on getting her ear to turn into a snuff box. Thought Ron seemed to be having the most trouble as he was still on the first part trying to turn his fingers into hose pipe. His fingers had turned a slight green-brown but were anything but pipe like.

Even Neville seemed to be ahead of Ron or at least by one step. Thought Ron would give a feeble attempt before glowering at it and glaring at anyone who looked at him. So really not much was getting done as he spent most of his time glaring and not concentrating. McGonagall had given him even more work as well as the new essay that she had given the class. Class finally was over and Harry was out of the door even before most of the students had put their books away.

Herbology met at Greenhouse 2 which housed even more dangerous and strange plants. Herbology went quickly since Harry didn't have much time to think as he was too concentrated on not getting his hands bitten off by the plant they were supposed to be harvesting. Sprout gave them their next essay topic and they left Neville looking as though he had never had a better lesson in his life or so Harry thought he looked.

Harry sat at the Gryffindor table he ate quickly before leaving to go start on his homework in a deserted class room close to the Potions classroom. As Harry sat in his library he decided he would do his Transfiguration essay since it would be the easiest to do in the short amount of time he had.

He wrote for what only felt to be a couple of minutes before he was done and rolling up his essay and putting it to the side. His Herbology essay was next though he would only have time to start it and not finish it. So he began to place his books out before him that he would need for this essay and looking through them making the pages he would need.

The next time he looked up it was time to leave for Potions. A class Harry was rather looking forward to not only because he could watch Severus but because he now rather enjoyed Potions. It was still not his all time favorite class but he did not dread it with every fiber of his being anymore. Watching a potion simmer was quite calming, dicing and steering became almost an art. Though watching Severus' hands as he would demonstrate as he verbally ripped you apart for not doing something right was the highlight of the class, or so Harry felt.

Once Harry entered the Potions room he sat down at the very front table and began to take out all of his supplies he would need for this class. Then he started to read over his potions text mostly to give him something to do before class began.

The door banged open loudly. Harry who had gotten used to the theatrical entrance put his book down and looked forward. Though some of the people around him had jumped and looked around.

"Eyes to front," Snape snapped at the ones who had looked at him. He noticed dimly that the only ones who did not turn to look at him were the Slytherins and Potter. He tapped the board once and words began to write themselves out on the board. Students immediately started to write every thing down.

"All of you get to work. I expect perfect potions form all of you by the end of class." He sneered at them all.

There was a great rush as students got up and lined up for ever thing they would need out of the student cupboard. Though a few students stayed seated and waited until the rush had died down before calmly getting up to get supplies.

Harry walked back to his seat and began to chop, shred, and grind everything he would need for this potion and then he started the fire. It was a rather simple potion as long as you carefully read ever thing. Time was the most important thing. Anything added even a second too late could lead to an explosion or a melted cauldron. Harry never once looked up as he to drop the ingredients one by one exactly in order and on time.

Just in time Harry saw something come flying towards him and his cauldron. He waved his hand at it with out thought and it flew back to the one who had sent it.

"Malfoy what do you thin you are doing? Spine of lionfish is not something to play around with. Ten points from Slytherin for your misuse of important ingredients." There was a stunned silence around the room. Harry though never stopped to listen to what was going around him. He didn't care what these children did as long as it did not get in his way. He just wanted class to end so he could talk to Severus about Professor Flitwick.

Harry began to bottle up his potion which he labeled and took up to place on Snape's desk.

"Professor Snape?" Harry said once he was standing at the desk.

"Potter?" Snape looked up at him from his notes he has been going over.

"Could I have a moment of your time after class? I have something rather important to ask you." Harry said looking his Professor in the eyes. One of Snape's eyebrows rose in question but other then that he nodded and then looked down at the potion Harry had bottled.

"Bottle up the rest of your potion and I will talk to you after class." Harry nodded before going back to his seat and began to bottle up the rest of his potion.

"Everyone's potions bottled, labeled, and on my desk, now. I want two feet on the properties of this potion and why it is so important to have the ingredients exactly in order and on time. Then get out of my site all of you." Snape barked out to the rest of the class.

Everyone packed quickly and left not looking back for fear of getting yelled at by the Potions Master.

"Now Potter what it is you wanted to talk to me about?" Severus said after Harry had bottled, cleaned, and put away everything.

"I wanted to talk to you about Charms Class." Harry said a bit lamely.

"As you can see Potter I am not the Charms Professor."

"Yes I know that. I am just not sure if I can trust Professor Flitwick or not." Again Harry got a questioning eyebrow as his answer.

"You see sir. I have been working on my studies during summer. So I know all of the charms we are working on in class. So I wanted to know if there was away to test out early or it I would have to be bored until I can take NEWT's at the end of the year?"

"You know every charm?" Severus asked as if he did not truly believe him. Harry nodded but refused to give anymore then what he had already given away. "Well since I am not the Charms Professor. I can't really help you. I assure you though Professor Flitwick can be trusted. It is possible to take a NEWT sooner, it is very rare and normally if done it is closer to the middle of the school year not the first week of school. You should know to make the test happen the Headmaster would have to know to contact the Ministry about sending the official testers out to test you." Harry nodded Severus could almost see him thinking it all over in his head weighing the pros and cons.

"Since this is also a rare occasion it would be in the Daily Profit. Then again when is anything when you're concerned not in the blasted paper." There was no malice in his voice towards Harry only contempt for that paper which seemed to always make Harry's life harder then it really had to be; whether to call him the next Dark Lord or to make him out to be some tragic hero.

"Well then I will just have to deal with even more attention I guess. I really need to get out of that class. I am learning nothing. Thank you Professor. I will talk to Professor Flitwick tomorrow when I have him for Charms." Severus nodded and Harry got up and left from the room.

'Just how much have you changed Harry?' Severus asked himself before looking back down at his unfinished paperwork. He sighed and got up to go to dinner. He would be later if he waited to finish the paper he was on.

------

Harry walked quickly to the Great Hall. He sat ate quickly leaving before anyone had even finished their meal. The trip back to Gryffindor Tower was made in a hurry for Harry had things to do and could not be held up from getting way he needed done. As he walked into the boy's dormitory he saw both Hedwig and Sal sitting on his bed waiting for him. He knew neither of them would come in if he had not been alone. Well Hedwig could since everyone knew about her but not Sal he was to be kept a secret.

"Come on you two." Harry motioned to his now resized and open trunk in which they flew in and he followed closely behind. Hedwig stuck out her leg which he untied the small bag around it carried it to the desk and dumped out its contents in which he resized. 'I'll do this later right now I am going to finish the Herbology paper then Potions.' Harry got quickly to work it took him about an hour to finish Herbology and then another for Potions.

He moved the giant book list from where they had been placed to the side. He tapped each of the teen with her finger and the book titles he already had crossed themselves out. Once that was done he brought out ten scrolls of parchment and began to write out the books he wanted from what was left. When he was done with the first shop he tapped them all, again the books he has just written down crossed themselves out as well. He repeated these steps until he was to the last shop. He has at least a million galleons of books between all ten of the shops. Though he has told the darker ones he would throw a couple hundred more if they got his order out quickly.

Though now all that was left was to work out how to get this large of a book order to him without people seeing. Then it came to him Klaus the goblin from Gringotts would help him. He began to write out his letter.

'Dear Klaus,

I was wondering if you would help me again. I am ordering a very large amount of books but I can't have any one know it is me who is ordering these books. As well as I can't be seen getting such a large amount of books, I am at school.

Do you think you could set me up with an empty vault until I can come and get the books from you personally? Can they send you the bill so as they don't have to know my name? Thanks for you help.

Sincerely,

Harry Potter'

Harry finished the letter and called Sal to him.

"Do you think you are up to delivering another letter for me?" Sal stuck out his leg.

"This is goes to Klaus the goblin at Gringotts don't under any circumstances give it to anyone but him." Sal gave him an almost scandalized look at the thought that Harry thought he might not give it to the right goblin.

"I know you can do it," Harry had seen the look. "I just was not sure you could tell them all apart or not. They do look very much alike." Sal took that as an apology and nipped his fingers and a show of acceptance.

"Now let me go see if they are all asleep. He should get back to me quickly so just tap the trunk but only when you know that no one is up." He opened the trunk and looked out, snoring hit his ears from all sides.

"Go be safe." Harry whispered and Sal took flight. Harry magicked the window open though to everyone it would still look to be closed until someone really did open it but it was to make sure Sal could get back in. Harry went to work out for awhile while he waited for Sal to return.

A couple of hours later there was a tap on the trunk. Harry opened it quickly and Sal flew in before Harry looked around again to make sure no one had woken and seen before he to quickly retreated back into the depths of the trunk.

Sal stuck out his foot so Harry could take it once Harry had reached the desk Sal has stopped on. Harry gave him an affectionate stroke on his head and Sal took off for the perch and sat next to Hedwig who moved closer to him once he has settled down. Harry thought they made a great couple. He was sure they would be making a nest in the future. He was sure that they would sometime be having children. He would deal with it as it came, and he went back to the letter at hand.

'Dear Harry,

I would be glad to set up a new vault for you or even move one over to a different vault for you. Please have them send me the bill. I will make sure nothing can be traced back to you. Of course you can have them send the books here as well. I will place them in a vault until you find time to come and get them from me. Do you know when that will be?

I will write you again when I have gotten all of your orders then you can send me the date of when you will come and get them.

Sincerely,

Klaus

P.S. I am honored to be entrusted with you personal accounts. I will do my best to be of service to you for however long you have need of me.'

Harry yawned as he finished writing his letter back plus putting the book lists with instructions all in separate envelopes which he places the name of each shop on.

"You both are going to have a busy day in the morning. Get some sleep I have more deliveries for you in the morning." Both Hedwig and Sal hooted from their perch and then dosed off.

-------

Morning came quickly soon Harry was up and ready for the day ahead. Though still most people would be asleep around the time he woke up.

"Wake up you two. This will be the only chance I have to get you out without being seen," Harry woke up the owls giving them both a couple of owl treats for the early wake up. They hooted softly and blinked their eyes at him. Harry smiled at them and petted each of them on the head.

Harry gave each owl its bundle. Hedwig would go to Gringotts and some of the nice stores. Well Sal who was a bit more intimidating would head to all of the dark stores; even if he had put an enchantment on Hedwig to make her look a different color. He would not trust those people in those shops with her. Even if it was silly and she could take care of herself. Sal was scary when he wanted to be plus he had a glare that would make Snape proud.

Harry opened the top to the trunk making sure to move slowly as to not make any noise. The window that he had charmed the night before was still working he nodded his head at them gave them both a last pat on the head, and they took flight out of the window. He looked quickly around again and closed the trunk to go start his morning work out.

Once he was done with his workout he took a quick shower got dressed. Then began his way out of the trunk, opening it slowly barley moving it just so he could hear anything going on around the general area.

"Ron not again. Let me go." It was Hermione's voice that Harry heard.

"Come on Hermione just once more. We could make it real quick." Ron's voice held something of promise as well as a bit of begging.

"But I have to get back to the girls dorm before they notice that I was never there last night. Plus if I don't go someone could see," Hermione said as though it was the most logical thing in the world.

"The boys don't care. I mean it's not like you're the only girl ever to be up here. Not like anyone would miss us. Harry does not even know nor with his attitude does he care. Come back to bed Hermione. I'll give you something to scream about." Hermione giggled and there was a quick sound of movement laughing and kissing then nothing.

Harry had known that the two of them had gotten together even if they never told him. But he had not known they have progressed that far and were having sex with each other. Even though Harry always thought that Hermione being muggle born as well as a Studying Nazi most of the time would be against having sex when still in school as she tended to want to spend most of her time reading and doing homework. Well it seemed if the times were changing yet again. His two friends had grown up with out him and seemed perfectly happy without him. Oh well, he had gotten what he wished for, they left him alone. . .or so he hoped.

Making sure on one got out of bed but Harry doubted that if anyone had heard Hermione and Ron talking would be out of bed anytime soon. Harry quickly got out of trunk and shrunk it placed it in his pocket. Watched as Ron's bed swayed for a second them left the room. Ideally noticing that Ron's bed was not the only one that seemed to be rocking.

Harry sat alone at the Gryffindor table and ate as he read. He could feel eyes watching him as he sat eating quietly but paid them no mind. Though now pretty much most people pretended to ignore him in favor of shooting glances at him and talking in low tones about him to their neighbors not minding to lower their voices as if his sudden lack of talking made him deaf to their jeers. He didn't care, if it was not one thing it would be another that they all turned away from him for. They did so about every year. This year he might as well give them an actual reason to hate him. As he sat their thinking he felt someone sit beside him.

"Hi Harry." It was Colin Creevey who still seemed to bounce with excitement when every time he talked to Harry, and who's legs seemed to be shaking under the table as well as shaking the table as he sat next to Harry.

'At least some people don't change.' Harry thought to himself. Harry kept reading his book but nodded slightly at Colin in a polite hello. He finished his breakfast and left without a word. Harry headed for the Hospital Wing for Medi-Wizardry. He knew this was probably the one place that he would not get stared at like some freak experiment gone wrong. Pomfrey was always very nice to him seemed to treat him as she would her own child.

Madame Pomfrey sat them all down and began a lecture on healing spells. They would start with easy spells like ones for small cuts and burses. Each class they would work their way up to higher and much more complicated spells. They would get to spells to set broken bones and mend them closer to the end of the class. Since this was only a semester class they could not learn everything but the basics would be just fine.

"Since this is a school. The infirmary gets mostly students with cuts, burses, and scrapes. Though when quidditch starts up we normally get much more serious injuries from broken bones to concussions. Then there are the hexing and jinxes from fights. As well as potions accidents, misfired charms, and bad transfiguration. Those patients who come in with any of those kinds of injuries will be sent directly to me first. You must work your hardest and if I feel you are ready for even higher spells and potions you will be able to work with the more servere patients." There was quiet talk about this but Harry kept his silence and took more notes on the spells she had talked about earlier.

"I would like to get a volunteer." A shy Ravenclaw raised her hand "Ah, yes dear come up here. Now pretend I am a student who came in because I cut myself on a broken glass that I picked up in potions. What do you do?"

"Well I would first look at the area around the cut. Cast a cleaning charm. Then cast the healing charm. Then let you go back to class."

"Mostly you have the basic idea down. But you must be friendly to whoever it is who comes in with pain. It could be your worst enemy you still must talk to them politely never snap or make rude comments back. If you find yourself unable to help them ask for help, never ever try to fix something that is just not in your capabilities to do. You should also ask if there was anything that was on whatever they cut themselves with. So if they were in potions, was there any potions ingredients that got into the cut and will effect the potion you might give them. Don't forget to get their name and house for they have to go in your written report a long with any and all spells and potions given. I know it seems like a lot of work but it MUST be done. If I find out that someone was healed or given a potion with out a written report you will be out of this class before you can say 'Quidditch.' Ask them if they are allergic to any potions or ingredients most will know and those who don't can be looked up, though in the beginning of class you will all come to me first before giving any one a potion." One of the girls in the class raised her hand.

"Yes."

"Madame Pomfrey I was wondering why the written reports were so important."

"Good Question Miss…"

"Oh Devenshire, Karen Devenshire."

"Miss Devenshire, the reports are important because what if later in the day that student hurt themselves again and comes back. You had given them as potion for let's say a headache. Now they need one for pain. The first potion is still in their system it could react badly to the one you give them next. Just ask them if this is their first time here today then look up their file if not the paper will be in there. You see when a headache potion and some pain reliever potions are mixed they can make a person very sick." Karen Devenshire nodded in understanding.

"Now I will teach you the basics of figuring out which potion to give a person." She began to walk them towards the potion cupboard. They spent the rest of class going over potions uses and doses to give someone.

"Your homework will be to write me an essay about a patient who comes in with two different problems at the same time. What are you going to give them and why? Go over as many possibilities as you can. We talked about this so much in this class that you should just have to do a bit of research before writing out the essay to be turned in next class. You all may go." They all left most talking excitedly to one of their friends.

Instead of having normal break Harry walked towards the Charms classroom. Harry knocked on the door hoping that Professor Flitwick was still in the room.

"Enter," the voice of the excitable Professor answered.

"Professor Flitwick? I have something I need to talk with you before class if that would be alright?" Harry asked as he stepped fully into the room and closed the door behind him.

"Yes, yes Mr. Potter. I'll try to help the best to my abilities." The small Professor was sitting on a large pile of books and had been checking over essays when Harry came in. Though now he was looking at Harry waiting for him to speak. Harry cleared his throat and began.

"Umm… well you see over the summer since I became of age I started to study more. I found that I was quite proficient in Charms when I was studying them. I was wondering if it would be possible to take the NEWT's for this class now. Since I learned so much about charms over the summer there is nothing for me to learn in this class." The Professor looked a bit taken aback he nearly fell off the stack of books ad he tried to get up and over to Harry in his excitement.

"You're telling me you learned all of NEWT's Charms over the summer?"

"Uh… yes sir." Harry looked a bit awkward standing there under his Professors gaze.

"You don't mind if I test you just to be sure, you are still a year away from the actual NEWT Charms class. Do you?"

"No sir. That would be fine. In fact I expected you would ask that." Harry took his wand out. For the rest of what was left of break the Professor gave the names of charms that they were to be learning. He did every one flawlessly. Professor Flitwick seemed to get more and more excited as he watched Harry.

"Excellent! I have not seen such flawless casting in such a long time. I think the last time was your mother. She was very, very good in Charms. One of the best students I ever taught. She would be proud to have passed that talent to you." The small Professor beamed at him.

"Thanks you Professor." Harry was touched about that statement it was good to know that he was also a lot like his mother since most people seemed co compare him to his father, and he rarely ever was told anything about his mother.

"It might take awhile to set up but you taking the NEWT for Charms should be no problem. You are far beyond what we teach here or at most schools other then the Mastery schools. In honesty I think if you worked for it in your seventh year you could probably pass the Mastery as well." Harry was shocked he knew his knowledge of charms surpassed that of Hogwarts but he had honestly not thought that he had been so far that he might be able to get his Mastery in Charms next year. He had thought he was still had a long wait to go before he was ready to take the Mastery test.

"I'll give you the list of charms that have to be known to get your Mastery." Harry watched as Flitwick walked over to one of the books he had been sitting on, pointed his wand at it, and said a coping spell which made an exact copy of the book that it had been told to recreate.

"Ok so it is a bit more then a list." Flitwick said as he saw the look on Harry's face.

"Yeah just a little." Harry said sheepishly.

"Now I don't really see a point for you to have to sit though this class. So you don't have to come anymore. Though I think we should set up a time for you to come so we can go over those other charms." He motioned to the book in Harry's arms. "I think this might need more time then a free period here or there. You need a real sit down and understanding of what you are doing with most of these charms you need to know. For one wrong wand movement and you could hurt someone or endanger yourself or others. So what time do you have free on a weekend?"

"Well I would have to do it in the morning. Professor Dumbledore wants me to work with Professor Snape to get my Potions grade up. Since that is my worst subject I have tutoring sessions all weekend long with him. They start at noon so I can do it before then." It was not all the way a lie about his Potions grade being bad it had been before this year but the small man did not need to know that.

"Ah yes. Severus was always particular how he wanted his potions done. Well good luck with that. How about on Saturday morning eight to eleven thirty? So you have enough time to get from here to the dungeons for Potions."

"That would be perfect."

"You are free to borrow any book that I have. That you think might help you. If you want please look around to see if there are any here you might want to take with you now."

"Yes, sir, thank you," Harry said and then began to walk around and see if there were any books he might want to take. In the end he picked out four that he was sure he did not have.

"I'll just take these this time Professor. I will be seeing you on Saturday for the class. Professor do you think you might make me a list of books you think would be the most help for me as well. I can then order them by owl so I have my own set of books?"

"Yes, yes I will have that by next class for you." Harry began to walk out of the class just as the rest of the class started to file in since the bell seemed to have rung just a little while ago.

Most of the classes stopped to stare at him as he passed them leaving the room. Ron and Hermione gave him a questioning looks they could have sworn he would be in this class.

Hermione saw this as another problem that she wanted to wrap her brain around. Maybe she would ask in class about it. They sat down in their normal row, though for the first time Harry was not sitting with them. It was odd how different the class seemed to feel with out him sitting on the other side of Hermione so he could correct Ron and him on their wand waving and pronunciation of the charm they were learning.

"Professor?" Hermione raised her hand as soon as she was seated. He nodded in her direction that he was listening.

"I was wondering why Harry is not in this class."

"It is not really my place to say but I will tell you. He has been studying all summer and there is nothing for him to learn in this class anymore. He will be taking his NEWT in Charms as soon as I can set it up for him." The rest of the class stared at him as though he had lost his mind. Harry was in sixth year he could not be that far advanced just from one summer of work.

Hermione could not make sense of anything. Harry seemed as though he went through a transformation and now the best in ever one of their classes they had together. She had seen him in transfiguration with his bored wave of his wand and everything was as it should be. His potion had turned out perfect better then her potion was. To sum it up she was jealous she had been the best for the longest and now just one summer and Harry was better then her. She who had been working for years reading everything she could get her hands on. Sure since her and Ron started going out she did not read as much but she had been assured that it would not matter if she did or not. Apparently she had been wrong which she hated.

Harry was her friend she should be happy he was finally taking his studies seriously. Yet she could not help feeling envious of this sudden knowledge in all of their classes. She would have to start studying more again.

Ron on the other hand was furious. He knew Hermione was not going to take it well that someone was doing so much better than her in classes. He just knew this was going to cut down on their couple time. He had just gotten her to finally have sex with him and he was going to have to give it up because Harry wanted to be a prat and study. His mind was trying to come up with ideas so that he might distract Hermione from dragging him to the library to study for hour's everyday. Maybe he would have to find someone on the side to help release his sexual tensions on. It was a stupid idea, because he knew Hermione would find out at some point, but when did Ron stop being a Gryffindor and actually thinking something out before following through with his plans?

----

Harry walked towards the kitchen he would get some food now so that he could do his studying and practicing without having to go to lunch. He tickled to pear and walked into the kitchen. Dobby was before him with his arms around his legs before Harry could even open his mouth.

"Hello Dobby. I can't stay long. I need some food since I won't have time to come down for lunch today. Do you think I could get a sack lunch?" As soon as he had said that the elves began working on a basket. He could have told them he would never need that much food, but, of cource, they never would have listened to him anyways, so he wisely kept quiet.

"Harry Potter is not eating lunch in the Great Hall?" Dobby said in a concerned voice.

"I need to study so I can't. It is too important for me to have to stop and walk down to the Great Hall for food. Do you think you could make me a sack lunch every Friday and Wednesday? I will need a basket for Wednesday since I am missing both lunch and dinner in the Great Hall."

"Dobby would be honored to do anything for Harry Potter. I's could bring it to you if you would like?" Dobby's voice sounded hopeful so Harry told him he could.

"I will be in Gryffindor tower. Do you think you could bring it to me during break in the boys' dormitory?" Dobby's ears seemed to sag.

"Dobby is not supposed to go out when break is. He is a good House Elf and can't be seen."

"Oh that is fine Dobby how about after break then?" Dobby nodded his head excitedly.

"Well thanks you all for the food. I must be going." All the elves beamed at him.

They loved to be told they were doing well. They were never told enough, Harry thought. Though they were very modest creatures and didn't think what they did was that big of a thing. But Harry, having grown up the way he did and being made a House Elf during the summer, knew better.

Harry thought it was a very good thing to treat them well. They saw things that most didn't. They also had their own magic as well as protective magic that Dobby proved when he sent Malfoy Sr. flying down the hall when he tired to attack Harry during second year.

Harry said the password to The Fat Lady before entering quickly and walking swiftly toward the dorms. He resized his trunk before climbing down into it. He ate quickly as he started on his homework, which so far was only Medi Wizardry.

Books out in front of him he began his lengthy essay. It was not really hard it just had a lot of parts that had to be done and explanations. It took almost an hour, but he still had an hour and a half left before he would have to be at Defense Against the Dark Arts. He was going to train until then.

He walked into the training room and picked up his sword and began to duel with the practicing dummy. It was a furious battle striking and dodging. A couple of times Harry just barely dodged the down swing sword. On and on it went until it was time to leave or he would be late to his class.

Waving his hand over him, he clothes were refreshed and he was clean again. He hated the way he felt after using these types of cleaning charms. They made his body tingle and he knew he was clean but he did not feel like it really. On well it was all he had time for right now. Climbing out of his trunk shrinking it and placing it in his pocket, he left the dorm for Defense Against the Dark Arts.

During Defense Against the Dark Arts Harry spent most of him time trying to ignore the sad and worried looks he seemed to be getting from Remus every time he turned around. He had caught the other looking at him and after the first couple of times the other stopped looking away as though he had never been watching him in the first place. For Harry thought it was getting rather annoying how everyone seemed to treat him as if walking on glass. Which made him want to snap and yell at them even more then he already did.

Then came the part of the class that made everything ten times worse then it was already. They were to have partners in class this year. This year however seemed to be the only one when people did not run over to him to see if the famous Harry Potter wanted to be their partner. Quite the opposite in fact people seemed to avoid at all cost in favor of other who they thought would not curse them for staring too long at them as they thought Harry would if given the chance. Harry just rolled his eyes at their antics and went back to waiting to see who was left without a partner, though he had a pretty good idea who that would be. Neville stood where most of the class had been only minutes before looking around as if he was lost and confused.

Since there were the only two left by default they became partners. Ron and Hermione watched as the scared boy walked and sat down next to Harry. But Harry just sat there and nodded his head in acceptance.

Ron and Hermione felt a wave of jealousy for the boy now sitting civilly next to their once best friend. It was just not fair, both of them had offered to be his partner but he had just looked at until they gave up and walked away.

Yet Neville sat down next to him and he showed no hostility. Hermione was already making a list of books to read and maybe figure out what was going on with him. While Ron was looking for someone to blame and maybe hit for turning Harry this way. For someone had to have made him this way, Harry would never do something like this on his own, he just couldn't, or so Ron kept telling himself as day's went on, hoping that one day he would wake up and Harry would be there talking to him and wanting to play Quidditch again and everything would go back as how it should be.

"Now that everyone had their partners. These people will be who you will be working with for the rest of the year. Though if any one has any problems come to me and we can set you up with someone else or try to work out the problem.

"There will be a big project due by the end of the semester I want you all to start thinking of now. I want each group to pick a curse, jinx, hex or other such magic and I want you to study it extensively. I mean everything you can find on it. History, counter curses if there are any if not give suggestions on what might work against it.

"Yes Miss Granger?" Professor Lupin asked.

"Could we also pick an Unforgivable?" She seemed almost frightened of the very idea of it.

"Ah… yes. Should any of you choose this course you will have to get permission to use the restricted section of the library. So if any one of you feels brave enough to do your project on an Unforgivable then come and see me as soon as you can. You also know that whatever you are doing you cannot cast them. Any one caught casting any of these spells I will see that you are severely punished. Now talk to your partner about what you might like to do, then come up to me. Only one group per curse, if the one you pick has already been taken then you will have to pick something different. Now start talking to your partner." The class broke out into excited chatter. Neville looked nervously at Harry and Harry could almost feel it coming off in waves from the other boy.

"Relax Neville," Harry finally said. Though all this seemed to do was make the other jump and look as though he thought Harry would attack him any moment. He sighed.

"What do you think we should do this project on?" Harry finally asked when neither had said anything for what felt like way to long.

"Umm… I don't know. I… I was thinking maybe the Cruciatus Curse…" His voice broke off and wavered slightly. Harry nodded in understanding.

"I think that that would be perfect for us. Let's go tell the Professor." Neville nodded but he looked less nervous then he had been only moments before.

"Neville can you go tell him I want to start making a list of all the things we should look up," Harry said as he took parchment, quill, and ink out and began writing at a hurried pace.

"Okay Harry." Neville got up and walked towards the teachers desk where Professor Lupin was sitting looking down at the papers in front of him with a look as though hoping they would suddenly start to grade themselves, but alas it was not so and he sighed.

"Professor?" Neville's timid voice broke him out of his state.

"Ah yes, Mr. Longbottom?" Lupin looked around him almost with a hopeful look as to see if Harry was with him.

"What can I do for you?" he finally said when he saw that Harry was still at the desk writing on a roll of parchment.

"We have decided on our project sir."

"Wonderful you are the first group so you have the pick of all of them. Now what is your topic?"

"We picked the… the Cruciatus Curse sir." Lupin's eyes widened he thought. That was the last curse that he thought Neville would ever want to study since that is what drove his parents into madness.

"Are you quite sure?"

"Oh yes Professor. I want to know. I… I have to know," Neville said almost in a pleading voice.

"Alright let me just make you both a pass to use the Restricted Section of the library." He wrote out two passes and handed them over to Neville.

"If you have any problems you can talk to me," Lupin said in a kind voice.

"Thank you sir I will." Neville went back and sat beside Harry and handed over the pass and they talked quietly for the rest of class. Harry stopping and making notes here and there on the parchment on things they knew and things that they needed to find out. With a quick spell he handed over a copy of it to Neville to look over and add anything he might want to know.

"When do you have time to get together and start the project?" Harry asked.

"Well… I don't have any when you do. I am not in Potions with you guys so I have that time off. We could get together before dinner and then after dinner on some day. When would be the best for you?"

"Hmmm…what about every Friday? We could just skip dinner and then go to the kitchens to get something to eat which leaves us with plenty of time to do our project. We can start it next week though which gives us time to look up information about it on our own."

"That sounds wonderful," Neville said with a hint of excitement in his voice.

"Write down any questions you have. If you can think of any plants that might help write them down as well." Harry finished what he had been writing and then again handed over a copy of it. They began to pack up their belongings for class was to end soon.

"Some of you have not told me your projects yet. I want you to think about it until next class. You will tell me first thing or I will be picking for you. If that is how you would rather go with me picking then come up to see me before you leave and I will give you that name so you can start on the project. That is all you are dismissed." Lupin then began to stack papers to put away for later grading as he listened to the class file put. Looking up he saw that he was now the only one left in the class. He sighed and sat down heavily on the chair and began to think.

'I have failed James, Lily and now you to Sirius. He won't talk to me. I don't know what to do.' He felt as though he wanted to cry yet he had no energy to. The full moon was coming he could feel it in his blood. Sighing again he began to finish his cleaning and then headed towards his office.

----

Dinner was well interesting to say the least. Neville sat next to Harry. Neither of them talked more then a, "pass the salt or pepper." Ron and Hermione sent glares towards Neville. Neville was nervous at first, especially with them glaring at him just for sitting next to Harry, but by then end of dinner he was pretty muche ignoring them which did not seem to make them very happy. But for all he cared they could just deal with it.

Harry seemed to have the same feeling as he pointedly never looked their way the whole dinner as if he did not even know that they had been looking at him for the whole thing. Which Neville thought he might have not known, but he did not see how that would be possible, I mean how could a person not feel those stares on them. Neville almost wanted to compare it to Professor Snape's stare when he was mad and he glared at you, and no matter what you were doing you knew he was watching your every move. Neville was so caught up in his own thoughts that he did not realize that Harry had left until he looked over and saw that the seat was empty. Neville to got up and left with the stares of Ron and Hermione still on his back.

Harry got up after eating as much as he could at the moment. Then he left not caring that Ron and Hermione had been staring at him all dinner. He had more important things to deal with then his two pissed off ex-best friends. He had homework and a Dark Lord to murder.

Once he was safely in his trunk he began his homework and once that was done, he fell asleep on the couch.
