Rini 6

I had tears in my eyes as Harry held me in that deserted hallway. “How could I have loved such an evil man?” was the first thing I said after ten minutes.

“What did he do to you up there, Hermione?”

“Scared the living hell out of me.”

“What did he do?” I could feel his every muscle twitch with anger and it felt good to know he was mine.

“He kept telling me I was his fiancée here and then he grabbed me. But I told him what he wanted to know and he let me got unharmed. So don’t do anything stupid please.”

Harry nodded. “Fine I’ll try my best, but if he does something again I can’t promise anything.”

I excepted that as his word and looked up into his green eyes. “What else did you have planned for tonight?”

“I don’t know. The dinner was pretty much it.”

“Well would you be mad if I took over from here?”

“Not at all.” He said with a slight blush to his cheeks.

I took his hand and lead him to the Room of Requirments.

There were rose petals on the floor in a trail to a king sized bed covered in more rose petals and fluffy pillows. I started guiding him to the bed, as I sat down he stopped.

“Are you sure about this, Hermione? I mean we’ve only been dating for a couple of weeks.”

A small frown creased my forehead. “I am. Do you not want to?”

“I do. I just don’t know if right now is a good time.”

I leaned back on my elbows. “And why not?”

He fumbled with his shirt hem and teetered on his nervous feet. “Well you did just have a fight with your fiancée. And -”

“He is not my fiancé here. He’s an arrogant prick. Why do you have to do this? Why can’t you just be happy with me and forget where I’m from?”

“I’m sorry. I am happy with you. But I can’t just forget. You have different views and actions than our Hermione.”

“Then maybe we shouldn’t be together then.” I stood up and stormed towards the door.

“Hermione wait, I didn’t mean it like that.”

I stopped but didn’t turn around. “I don’t care Harry, we’re through.” I walked out the door and down towards the dungeons.

I really wasn’t thinking when I got to the Slytherin doorway or when I muttered the password or when I walked in. Not even when I found Draco’s dorm and walked in there too. I definitely wasn’t thinking when I stripped down and crawled under his sheets.

He wasn’t there, but it smelled like him and it calmed me down. I knew I didn’t have much time before he came back from his rounds as Head boy but I would be gone before he was even aware I had been there.

Thirty minutes later Draco walked in and noticed a small, feminine lump in his bed. Auburn locks flowed across his pillow and a pile of clothes were on the floor.

He slipped off his clothes and crawled into bed beside the mystery women. Her scent overwhelmed him and he couldn’t help but to reach out and run his hand down her back.

She stirred slightly. “Drake?” she whispered.

“At your service. But may I ask your name first.” She sat up and he jumped back. “Granger!”

I reached for the blankets to cover my naked body. “Draco. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to fall asleep in your bed.” I tried to get my clothes without exposing myself but couldn’t reach. “If you could just turn around I’ll get dressed and I’ll be out of here before you know it.”

The bedroom door opened and shed even more light onto my face. “Draco, mate, we were wondering if you were – Granger.”

Draco sighed. “Blaise get out. And sat nothing to no one.”

Blaise nodded and left the room. Draco turned back to me. “What are you doing in my bed, Granger? And naked I might add.”

I swallowed hard and looked down at my clothes. “I broke up with Harry.”

“And you came here because you’re used to my company.”

I nodded. “But I’ll leave thought. I know that you don’t want me in this world.” I tried fruitlessly again to reach my clothes.

Draco stopped my hand and took it into his own. “Are we real?”

As dumb as the question may have seemed I knew what he was asking. “Yes.” Then an idea came to me. “I can show you. Would you like me to?”

“Sure.”

At that moment I was glad had slipped my photo album into my jean pocket before my date with Harry. “Turn around please.” He did as I asked and I grabbed my jeans from the floor. “Ok.” I took out my wand and album and unshrunk the album. “Here.”

He took it and began flipping through the pages. “How come there are more of us with my parents and only a few of your parents?”

“They’re more focused on their money than me. I think they wanted a boy.” A tear fell from my eye and I turned away from him. Why I was so nervous around Draco in this world, I have no idea.

He turned my face back to him and wiped away the tear. “I’m glad they didn’t.”

What happened next took me by surprise. Draco leaned forward and kissed me. It made me want to cry more because it was filled with all the caring I was used to receiving from him when we were alone. There was nothing cruel about it and I didn’t want it to stop.

I heard the album hit the floor as Draco scooted closer to embrace me fully. I let him. I let him lay me down, and I let him make love to me that night, not knowing what the morning would hold.
