All Harry Potter persons and events are property of JK Rowling and Warner Bros I therefore own NOTHING to do with Harry Potter. This fiction written in 2009 will make NO money what so ever I just enjoy playing with them and I promise to put them back.
Narcissa
Narcissa Malfoy was a mercurial woman, prone to somewhat flighty behavior that on many occasions got her in to different degrees of trouble. She was passionate about her family. Loving her husband and son deeply and this was why she now walked to Draco’s room carrying a tray of food and some pumpkin juice for him.
Earlier that day Lucius Malfoy had found out the extent of the feelings that Draco held for Hermione Granger and he was unable to control his rage, he grounded Draco for the first time in his life and told the house elves not to supply food only water. Narcissa felt that the punishment was unwarranted and told him such, Narcissa smiled as she remembered the three hour argument they had had.
Now she stood outside of Draco’s room and she gently kicked the bottom of the door with the toe of her shoe and was pleased to hear the many locking wards that had been put in place by Draco come undone, not because it meant Draco’s magic was weak but that he knew she would come.
The first thing Narcissa noticed, was that the green and silver hangings of Slytherin house that once hung proudly on the walls of the room had been ripped down. Now the room seemed barren of any type of personal touch and it broke her heart. She walked to the bed and sat down on the end setting the tray on a small table then she sighed.
“Oh Draco” was all she said before Draco spoke.
“I love her mother, I don’t understand why but I know I do” as he spoke tears of frustration started to roll down his face and Narcissa took him in to her arms and held him while he sobbed.
A while after that Narcissa went to find her husband and after a search that lasted an hour, she found him in his garden clipping a rose bush, while he worked Narcissa sat on the small marble bench and watched, noting again that the flowers changed colour when he got near one from white to dark gray and in some places black, not a good sign at all she mused.
“Lucius” she said softly in a tone that said she meant to speak her mind.
Lucius for his part stopped the clipping of his roses and glared toward his wife “I do not wish to talk about it” he said through clenched teeth his anger was evident in the way he held his position.
Unmoved or maybe just uninterested of her husbands wants and needs at that moment she muttered a summoning spell and the tool Lucius had just picked up flew out of his hand and was caught in mid-air by Narcissa who had a severe look on her face.
Lucius growled “how many times do I need to tell you not to do that? You could get hurt sweetheart”. Narcissa allowed her head to move to the side giving her a lopsided view of Lucius’ face then she said “About the Granger girl”.
After a further hour of arguing Lucius grudgingly, agreed to allow Draco to take his own course and the older Malfoy’s spent the afternoon locked in each others arms.
The memory faded and Lucius carefully poured it back in to its bottle and placed it in a small box marked Narcissa, then he placed the box back in to his desk drawer and locked it, leaving the study he went to the gardens and his roses.
