Run and hide again
I want to wait this time
Don't wonder why you can't clear this final sin
You know this story was over before it began
This is a battle you're not going to win
Welcome the end.
Only the fireplace and a select few candelabras set in the corners of the room burned, casting eerie shadows along the walls and the single occupant of the room. The person seemed to be moving at an almost inhuman pace and gaining speed with every set of movements. Turn, slash, jab, parry, dodge, repeat, move to the next set. Double swords glinted in the dim light cast by the fire as long blond hair fanned and swayed with each movement while long, lean muscles flexed and lengthened with the swinging blades. Power and rhythm growing stronger and more intense with each set of movements. Energy sparked and swirled around, providing a counter measure to the lethal dance being performed in the center of the all but empty room. The final turn and slash ending up a hair’s breadth away from cutting through the little house elf who stood poised near the fireplace.
“What?”
“I . . . I is sorry to be disturbing you, Master,” the house elf squeaked in terror, painfully aware that the sword blade was still held steadily under her chin. “But we is having guests coming soon. Does Master wish a cleaning before they is arriving?”
A pale hand pushed back sweat dampened hair. “Yes, I think I will have a bath before the prey arrives. Thank you, Magenta.”
The house elf nodded as best she could and carefully backed away from the edge of the sword blade. “I is going to get it ready for you, Master,” she said before disappearing.
A wicked smile played over sensual lips. “And so another hunt begins.”
I've spent a lifetime planning out your destruction
You're never gonna win this another day
only a lifetime planning out your destruction, with no other function
You really don't know how long I've waited
I'm telling you, you just can't get away
You better run!

A large owl landed squarely in the middle of Hermione’s desk and she blinked and stared at it for a moment before reaching to take the parchment tied to its leg. The owl took flight, not waiting for a response from her. She unrolled the parchment and read the message.
Lady Granger and Master Malfoy:
Your presence is requested at the Gilded Lily posthaste.
Something has been found in security videos that may,
Or may not, be of use to you.
Lady Tazura
“What is it?” Draco asked.
“Seems as though Tazura has come up with something she wants us to see in the security videos,” Hermione said.
“Excellent. Field trip. I was starting to go cross eyed digging through all these reports.”
Hermione waved a hand at him. “You hate paperwork anyway.”
“You can’t blame me really. Everyone hates paperwork. Everyone but you that is,” he said, smirking.
She made a rude noise before shuffling several papers back into their folders. “Come on,” she said, standing up and starting for the door of their office.
“Right behind you.”

They arrived at the Gilded Lily and were ushered in by Andrew, who looked odd to Hermione wearing jeans and a hoodie like a teenager.
“Hey, Taz,” Draco said. “What did you find?”
Tazura rose from behind her desk and ushered them inside. Instead of having them take up the chairs by the fireplace she motioned them around the desk.
“It’s something I can’t explain really. The participants of the scenes have all given permission for you to view these, those who can at any rate,” she said. “Draco, you might not want to see this.”
“Why not?” he asked before the thought came to him. “Gods, it’s my father isn’t it.”
Tazura shrugged. “It is. Sorry, Draco.”
“Merciful goddess, this is more than any child should ever have to know about a parent’s sex life.”
Ah ha! Hermione thought. I’ve got you now, Lucius.
“If you would then?” Tazura said, motioning to Hermione. She advanced the DVD frame by frame as she’d done with Lucius when initially showing it to him. One of Tazura’s eyebrows lifted slightly when she noticed the interesting reaction to what was being played on screen. She noticed that the other woman’s breathing had definitely picked up as had her pulse if the fact she could see it beating in her neck was any indication. She had to hold back a chuckle because it didn’t seem as though the other woman was really seeing what was being pointed out to her. She seemed to be far more focused on the actual “scene” itself.
Indeed Hermione was focused on the scene taking place in the video far more than the oddity taking place behind the participants. Lucius Malfoy was stretched out, hanging from the bar in the very same room she’d initially interviewed him in, his hair brushed forward over one shoulder and his face reflecting an odd mixture of pleasure and pain as the masked woman behind him showed considerable skill with a bullwhip.
She felt her face heat when she noticed Tazura smiling slightly at her. She shook her head a little and focused on what the other woman was showing her. She reached out herself and backed up the video, playing it over and over, not sure what she was seeing other than the door opening and no one showing inside of it. Not even a shadow.
“That’s very odd,” she said.
“It is,” Tazura said. “I talked to Lucius and he has a theory on what might have that effect.”
“What effect?” Draco asked.
“The door to the room opens, you can see the other room and almost all of the doorway clearly but there isn’t anyone there nor is there a shadow,” Hermione said. “Even in an invisibility cloak someone would cast a shadow with the light behind them.”
“How did you know that?” Tazura asked.
“She knows everything,” Draco said with a shrug.
“Hn,” Tazura snorted. “Anyway, back to Luc’s theory about that. He says there’s an outlawed potion called …”
Hermione’s eyes flew wide suddenly. “Non corpus potion?”
“That would be it.”
Draco frowned. “That doesn’t make any sense. It’s been outlawed for at least a hundred years. Add to it that the stuff is damn near impossible to brew properly. I’ve only known of one person who could do it.”
“Who might that be?” Hermione asked, looking at him suspiciously.
“Snape,” he said with a shrug.
“Lovely,” Hermione said. “Wait, when we came in you mentioned something about “scenes”. As in more than one?”
“Yes.”
“Same thing in all of them?”
“Yes.”
“Same people in all of them?”
“One of the same people at any rate. The others in those scenes are dead.”
