Briefly Aside
A/N: Sorry guys, but this chapter is going to be short, and then it may be a day give or take before I get the next few chapters up. (I have to sleep and finish three assignments, then there will be all the time in the world for this, I promise.) Thank you to those of you who keep reviewing, even if it is mayhem. Please enjoy!
ElectricalStorm— I thank you for your lovely review. *sits beside you* Can I have some popcorn? *eats snowcaps, milk duds, and raisinettes*
TenderQuaintWitch— I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the last few chapters. *takes your hat and stashes it in my coat pocket all nonchalantly*
Sljh— *gasps, out of breath* That was like a workout just reading that thing!! You didn’t open Pandora’s Box you touched fingers with ET and the Big Bang happened! :-p (Yes, that so is to how the universe was created) I’m glad you’re enjoying it. And yes I know we all have theories. Hooray. I want to comment more, but my eyes are bleary from painting a bunch of little red and pink dots white on my Sweeney Todd visual logo so that it can be turned into a projection film for a light gel for an assessment tomorrow. Whee. Thank you continuously.

Draco paced around the living room of the hotel suite. He’d been there for over an hour, waiting. Ginny and he had been separated after the accident, he going to tend to the loss of his half sister and grieving godfather, and she, well he didn’t really know where she had gotten off to. But earlier that morning an owl had arrived with a letter from the redhead, stating that he was to check into the hotel at half four. But it was nearly six o’clock. He continued to pace.
The keycard swipe turned green and the door clicked open, Ginny Weasley appearing in it before the door shut behind her as she entered the hotel room. She moved quickly across the room to embrace him, but frowned when he was less than enthusiastic in returning her hug. “What’s the matter, Draco?”
“Nothing,” he muttered.
“Something,” she said and placed a hand on his shoulder, but he merely shrugged it off.
“I just—”
“Don’t tell me you’re having second thoughts…it’s too late now!”
“I know!” he growled, frustrating himself. Draco stormed into the adjoining bedroom and flopped down onto the King sized bed. It was strange to lie in a bed that wasn’t a four poster. He gazed up at the ceiling as the mattress shifted and he felt her sit beside him. “Don’t, Ginny.”
“Draco—”
“She died, Ginny.” He sat up, his eyes swirling with a world of emotions.
“You were supposed to keep her in the church.”
“Don’t you dare blame this on me!” he growled, shaking his head and closing his eyes tightly. He’d been fighting off guilt tears for over a week, but as a Malfoy, (unlike his half sister) he was unwilling to show emotions so readily. “This was all your idea!”
“My idea?” she huffed. “You’re the one that was so worried about your father’s precious inheritance, and that she couldn’t marry Snape or things would all go down the drain!”
“Yes, but I didn’t want her to die! And you said that it was crucial that you stop the wedding because of what you find in that envelope in father’s study that afternoon!” Ginny frowned, looking away from him. She had stumbled upon a goldmine of blackmail that afternoon when she’d been poking around Lucius Malfoy’s home office. “You never did tell me what was in there, I’m beginning to think you made it up!” he snapped.
Her eyes smoldered, head snapping forward at once and she narrowed her gaze taking two steps toward him. “You want to know?” she hissed and marched across the room to where her bags had been brought in by the house elves.
Ginny was on her knees, rummaging around in her suitcase until she pulled out a large manila envelope. As she stood a hand fell to her shoulder, and when she turned around she gasped, dropping the envelope. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you, Ginevra Weasley, unless you want your dirty little secret exposed too.” Said Lucius Malfoy, who had entered the room unheard.
