Chapter 12: The plan comes together.
Harry and Draco had just awoke after a long needed nap, went to the bath off their room for a shower, and proceeded downstairs for something to eat. They walked into the kitchen to find Remus having a cup of tea. Both boys looked at each other with a grimace on their face, set down, and poured each other a cup. They did their best to act nonchalant as if nothing happened earlier. Remus studied both boys for a moment, but never said anything. They sat that way for a while, waiting for someone to speak, and finally Harry got up the nerve to go first.
"So, how long have you been up Remus"? Harry enquired, looking at the teacup before him, trying his best not to act nervous.
"Oh, for a while, something woke me up, and I couldn't go back to sleep". Remus explained with a calm tone to his voice.
"O---K, just wondering. Uh, thanks for bringing your trunk of books down; I'll certainly start looking trough them for some useful spells. I don't know if it's possible to learn everything in what time we have before school, but I'll cram what I can during what time we have left". Harry said, doing his best not to breach the subject of his and Draco's wild sex escapade earlier.
"Good, good, I have one book already picked out. As a matter of fact, I have your first lesson planned. It's a very useful spell; you'll both need to learn. I've book marked the page, here you go". Remus commented as he pushed the book over to Harry with a grin as if nothing was ever amiss.
"Great, let me see what you have, I'm looking forwards to getting started"! Harry said cheerfully. He opened the book to where it was marked and his jaw dropped open. He set very still, not daring to move a muscle.
"Oh come on, it can't be that bad"! Draco exclaimed as he got up out of his chair, and went around behind Harry to read over his shoulder. Draco's complexion went whiter than it already was as he read the title of the page for the spell.
"Oh yes boys, that is indeed a very useful spell that all wizards should learn. I myself learned it in my first year. The silencing charm always was one of the first that most learned due to the snoring in the dorm rooms. I could swear that you both learned it while you were at school. I'll have to have a talk with professor Flitwick to see why he isn't teaching it any more". Remus commented with a huge grin on his face as he watched both boys squirm.
"Er, uh, yes, I do know the charm. There's no need to ask anyone about it. I'm sure that Draco knows it too as I've seen him use it". Harry spluttered out.
"Oh really? I assumed that after all the commotion you boys created about three hours ago, nobody had taught it to you". Remus enquired, totally enjoying both boys predicament. "Now what pray tell would have caused all that racket I heard earlier? It sounded like an orgy in a cat house, or was I mistaken"?
"Oh ok, we're busted! We had sex if that's what you want to hear, plenty of it; hot, wild, monkey-type sex". Draco drawled, as Harry looked on mortified. "I swear you older folks act like it's something vile sometimes. One of us will make sure to cast a silencing charm next time. I take it that's why you set us up with the book"?
At this Remus busted out with a great howl of laughter. The look on Harry's face, and the cool act by Draco floored him. He couldn't help yanking their chain. He had to endure a solid hour of moans, groans, cursing, yelling, and even squealing; not counting the rusty bed springs squeaking. After he wiped the tears of mirth from his eyes, he looked at both boys as seriously as he could. "All I want to know is who did the squealing"?
Draco proceeded to turn red as a beet. "Squealing"? Draco enquired in a high-pitched voice.
"Ah, I think I see who the guilty party was. No matter, I have been known to squeal in my time too". Remus replied as he stood up from his chair, walked by Draco, clapped him on the back, and then left the room. Draco set back down and buried his head in his hands.
"Harry, don't ever forget that charm again. I'm so embarrassed, I'll never be able to bear a look at him again". Draco mumbled as he shook his head, head still in his hands.
"Me forget, you forgot too! I think of Remus like an uncle, and you think I can't bear to look at him? Neither of us will ever forget that charm, no matter what". Harry said who was now just as red-faced as Draco. "I just wonder what all he actually overheard"?
"I don't care, and I don't want to know". Draco replied who was now looking at Harry with a grimace. "I should dig out that pensieve, and remove this memory so I don't have to think about it again".
"Remove it? I thought you only copied memories when you used a wand to withdraw them"? Harry asked.
"No, you can do either. Most remove bad memories so they don't recollect them, or allow anyone to see them while using Legillimency. You can replace them back from the pensieve when you need them. You can also make copies for others to view or file away". Draco explained. "Copies can also serve so one can walk through a memory in a pensive anytime they need to while examining the scene as it happens, and taking in details one might have missed.
"Is there any way to cast the viewing on a wall? I know you can make a memory appear over top of the pensive to view without diving into it. If there is, we need to make a trip to Diagon Alley with the pensive you have, and some memories I have. I want to bury Fudge as soon as possible before he can get back into good grace with the public". Harry replied, his intentions fully clear to Draco.
"Ah yes, but is there anywhere we can be hidden away so nobody can get to us while it all plays out"? Draco asked.
"I think Griphook would lock us away safely in Gringotts after what Dumbledore pulled. I think Skeeter would at the Daily Prophet too, but Gringotts is way more secure. Plus, nobody would suspect Gringotts as the source". Harry replied after taking a sip of tea and mulling over ideas in his head. He then quickly turned and cast a silencing charm on the kitchen.
"Harry, I'm still worn out, I don't think I can get it up again after all we did". Draco whined.
"Not that you git, I don't want Remus to hear about this as he'd be totally against it". Harry explained.
"Oh, well what is the plan you have brewing in that noggin of your"? Draco asked as he poured more tea while looking slightly embarrassed about his complaining.
"Well, I bought a large viewing screen that muggles use projectors to show pictures or movies on. I was hoping I could hang it off the balcony of the second floor of Gringotts, and cause the memories I place into the pensieve to show on it. I figure showing them during lunchtime would draw a good audience. We would be stationed behind it at the doors opening onto the balcony, hidden away, but still be able to cast the spell on it from behind. The day we do it, I promised Skeeter I would let her know so she could plaster it across the Prophet. I bet it makes a special edition when it comes out, probably that evening if luck is with us". Harry explained with an evil grin.
"Damn Harry, you definitely should have been in Slytherin. When do you want to pull this stunt off"?
"Tomorrow"? Harry asked.
"Done! We'll get everything together tonight and leave out in the morning. You've already told Lupin you needed to go to Gringotts, so we have an excuse. The pensive is a smaller one and doesn't hold but about nine to ten memories, but it is portable. It's in a wooden box along with the phials I made off with. I'll have to dig out the ones from my father paying off Fudge over your trial, and the one where Umbridge is discussed sending the Dementors. Which one will you be supplying as I can draw it out? I'll only make a copy, not extract it completely".
"I'm going to supply the one where Dumbledore tells me about Fudge having the dementor to give Barty Crouch Jr. the kiss inside Hogwarts. I'm also going to show the one of my trial, and the last one showing that Peter Pettigrew is still alive". Harry said. I don't care if they catch Pettigrew; actually I hope they don’t, as I want to level that sentence myself. However, I want Sirius's name cleared with the public so no one has any doubts about what happened. Since Fudge locked him up, and swore Sirius was behind all those attacks last year, it will dig his hole even deeper than before".
"What about Umbridge and her blood quill"? Draco asked. He knew she would be busted for using dark magic against students.
"If we have time, I'd like to show that, and the one where she was going to use the cruciatus curse on me to get me to talk. The only problem with the last is that you may show up in it. If I can think of the memory where I looked at her head on, you were behind me, so you wouldn't be seen". Harry explained.
"I can cure that, I'll give that memory so I can't be seen. I saw all of it remember, so she will be busted along with a few other Slytherins helping her". Draco replied, helping Harry all he could.
Harry got up from his seat and proceeded to pull Draco up out of his. He wrapped his arms around the blonds’ waist and snogged the living daylights out of him. "Thanks Draco, that's why I love you like I do".

Earlier the same day, things didn't go well at all for Albus Dumbledore. He had made his way to Gringotts and asked Gornuk to speak with Griphook about the Potter and Black accounts. Gornuk then left down the long hall and into an office not to be seen again for another hour. Dumbledore was getting highly upset about this; he had always been taken at once, straight back to Griphook’s office before. Gornuk arrived back at the end of the hall with a grin on his face. Well goblins would call it a grinning; all Dumbledore seen was a mouth full of pointed teeth.
"I take it Griphook has been busy today since it has taken this long"? Dumbledore enquired.
"Mr. Griphook, Mr. Dumbledore, and yes he has been highly busy today". Gornuk said with another grin full of teeth. He walked Dumbledore along the long hallway until they were in front of the two large golden doors to the conference room, which he then opened with a wave of his hand.
Dumbledore thought this an odd place to meet; he always did his business in Griphook’s office. "Why are we going to the conference room and not his office"? Dumbledore finally asked.
"Well, this is where Mr. Griphook is today, Mr. Dumbledore". Gornuk replied ushering Dumbledore inside.
Dumbledore walked through the two huge golden doors, and after he had taken three steps inside, both doors slammed shut with a loud clang, locking behind him. "Why all this extra security today Griphook, and who is this with you today"? Albus asked as he tried to keep a steady voice.
"Mr. Griphook, Mr. Dumbledore. This is Mr. Ragnok, our head accountant, and these two are aurors that I invited this morning to show around. What is your business you need to take care of today Mr. Dumbledore"? Griphook said, never letting any expression show.
Dumbledore cleared his throat, "I have some business to tend to about the Black and Potter accounts. Is there anywhere we can talk about this privately, I'm in a bit of a hurry today".
"Ah yes, I was wondering when you would be by about this. Here is as good as place as any since everyone here can be trusted in this room I would think. I had to stop a draught the other day being placed in your account from Mr. Harry Potter’s Black account. It seems we have a slight discrepancy in the draught, and several others to be exact. I have just received a new signature card from Mr. Potter, and it showed that every draught from the Potter accounts, and this one from the Black account were forgeries. I then contacted Mr. Potter and asked him if he had ever written any draughts from either of these accounts. He said he has never, and has only ever withdrawn money directly from his trust vault. He also informed me that he has never signed any draught from either account, or signed any document for either account. Finally, he stated he has never been read any will that pertains to either of these estates. He also stated he was never aware he had three other vaults in the Potter estate, nor did he know anything about the Black estate. Since you were the administrator of both, would you care to explain this Mr. Dumbledore"? Griphook answered with another toothy grin as both aurors crossed their arms over their chests, and the head accountant looked at Dumbledore with two squinting beady black eyes, still no emotion showing.
Albus Dumbledore began to get a little nervous now. He looked at Griphook, then at Ragnok, and last at the two aurors who were glaring at him. He slowly backed up against the two golden doors and found them bolted shut as if they had been welded together. The doorknob wouldn't as much as budge behind his back. He then summoned his wand from the sleeve of his violent purple robe and tried to disapparate. It was no good, there was anti-apparation jinxes placed on the building. Both aurors had drawn their wands, and the goblins had crawled down from their high chairs to the floor staring at him.
"I think I can explain all this, but I will need to go and retrieve Mr. Potter from his aunts home, and bring him back with me. It will only take about an hour and I can return then if that will be no problem"? Dumbledore asked as if everything was normal, though he was cringing inwardly.
"Ah yes, in this there seems to be a problem Mr. Dumbledore. You see, by law we must report this to the ministry at once when this is found out. The laws are very strict in this area, and Gringotts is known to never lose one knut. We account for every knut, sickle, and galleon that goes into and out of our bank. There is a discrepancy of a total amount of 2,532,198 galleons, 550 sickles, and 322 knuts. We of course transferred the total of 1,200,000 galleons, 133 sickles, and 3 knuts from your account back into his. That still leaves a sum of 1,332,198 galleons, 417 sickles, and 319 knuts left unaccounted for. Since Gringotts is insured, it will pay the loss, but someone is responsible for that amount. Since Mr. Potter knows nothing of this, I do not suppose you would have the rest of this money to put back into this account, since you are the administrator, and cosigned each draught"? Griphook asked.
Dumbledore's complexion had turned very white now, and sweat began to form upon his brow. "As I said earlier, I can straighten this mess out, but I need to acquire Mr. Potters help in the matter".
"Well Mr. Dumbledore, as I stated, he has already been here to take care of his part, and has signed all the necessary papers. I am now the sole administrator of both estates; he has taken you off them. As I stated though, he knows nothing about how much the discrepancy is, or really the cause, as we guaranteed him we would get to the bottom of it all. As a matter of fact, to follow strict procedure, these two gentlemen have some questions for you about this, and if I'm not mistaken, wish you to accompany them to the ministry". As Griphook said this, he turned to the aurors who were nodding their head.
"Albus Dumbledore, we are taking you into the custody of the Ministry of Magic, and on to the Magical Law Enforcement Division to question you about this case. We ask you to go quietly, and since you are a member of the Wizengamot, we will escort you out through the side door where no one will take any notice. If we feel we need Mr. Potter for any more evidence, we will contact him, and question him ourselves. So Albus, if you will be so kind to hand me your wand and follow us"? The head auror said showing Dumbledore the back door of the room by motioning with his hand.
Dumbledore started to not relinquish his wand but then he thought better of it. He didn't know what kind of magic the goblins had placed inside the bank for just such an occasion. He didn't want to tempt fate as goblin magic could turn out to be a very gruesome mistake. 'I'll just follow them to the ministry, threaten them with loosing their jobs, and it will all go away. The insurance will pay Harry, and nobody will be the wiser', Albus thought. He handed over his wand and followed the aurors out the rear door to the alley outside. As they exited the outer door to the alley, flashes from it seemed a dozen cameras rent the air. Rita Skeeter stood there in front of the large group of reporters.
"Tell me Headmaster Dumbledore, did you have anything to do with embezzling over 2.5 million galleons from our savior, Mr. Harry Potter"? Skeeter asked as loud as she could.
Dumbledore looked at her as if he could have killed her where she stood. Then there was a flood of questions aimed his way, which were all similar. Some asked why he did it, others wanted to know how long it had been going on, and the last question was posed by Xenophilius Lovegood.
"Albus Dumbledore, how could you do something like this to Harry? My daughter looked up to you at school, and is one of Harry's best friends. How could you do it"? Lovegood asked with a choked voice. He had really gotten to know Harry since Luna had him print the articles for Harry last year.
Dumbledore looked back and forth at all of them and scowled, saying "No comment", and walked away down the alley with the two aurors. As soon as they were out of reach of the reporters, both aurors took an arm of Dumbledore’s each and disapparated with him to the Ministry of Magic.

Severus Snape was never known to be a patient man. He was walking circles in his office waiting for Dumbledore to get back from Diagon Alley. He had been to the Dark Lord and found that nothing was amiss. He tried to tell this to the crazy old coot before he left, but he wouldn't listen. If the truth was known, Snape was getting particularly nervous about what he had heard when that wave of magic had hit him. He was well aware that Potter's power had been bound before he was given to the Dursleys. Dumbledore claimed it was so that any accidental magic would be mild and explained away easily. He knew better however, and he knew Potter would be a very powerful wizard when he grew up. He figured something had happened to break the bind, and had released his total power. Well not quite his total, as he hadn't had his inheritance yet at the age of seventeen. That was only a year away and he knew it. Dumbledore claimed he would remove the bind then, but he knew better. Dumbledore was afraid Harry would turn on him one day for all the shite he had pulled on the boy over all these years. If he only knew how close to the truth he was. The only thing he was off about was that he thought Harry's magic had probably broken the binding. He would never have guessed Draco Malfoy, his own Godson, would have played a role in it. He also knew that Draco was to take the mark shortly as Voldermort had just told him so. He was concerned about the praise that Voldermort had given Draco, or really the way he spoke of him in sensuous tones. The thought of Voldermort putting his hands on Draco made him want to utterly puke. He knew what that meant, as he had been on the receiving end of it when he first joined the death eaters.
"I wonder where Albus is at" Snape said out loud to no one. At this, he poured him another glass of scotch. He had already downed two when he had come back to Hogwarts. He noticed his hand shaking badly as he poured the drink from the bottle. He re-corked and placed the bottle back as he grabbed his glass. As he raised the glass to his lips, his trembling caused him to spill some down the front of his chin and onto his robes.
"God Damnit! I am not going to wait for Albus's so-called Golden Boy to come here and hunt me down. It's untelling whom he'd have with him. Probably all the Weasleys, his little DA group, and that little know-it-all bent. I stand a good chance against Potter himself, with his fumbling magic. He's too easy to read, no wandless nor any non-verbal magic, but against all of them I'll end up dead"! He exclaimed under his breath and then finished his third glass of scotch.
"At the very least, I'll end up in Azkaban. Too many who know me there and I'd still end up dead most likely". Snape mumbled to himself. "I think I'm going to go see my Godson for a few days until everything dies down. I am not waiting on that doddering old fool to return. Hell, it's almost dark now".
Snape took the bottle of Scotch down again, but instead of pouring a glass, he turned up the bottle and drank it straight down. After the full bottle was in him, he had gained some composure from the shakes he was experiencing. He packed a bag with enough clothes for a few days, and left Hogwarts as fast as his feet would carry him. He would rest when he arrived at Malfoy Manor in the company of Narcissa and Draco, or so he thought. When he made it outside the gates, he gave a quick spin on his heel and disapparated.

Harry and Draco went back to their room after they had finally eaten their supper with Remus. Once inside, they locked the room and placed a silencing charm upon it. They broke out the pensieve and prepared everything for the next day. Draco unloaded all the phials except the ones they were to take. He then turned to Harry so he could withdraw the memories he wanted to add.
"Harry, set down here on the edge of the bed, it's time to extract the memories you want to show tomorrow". Draco calmly stated. He didn't want to worry Harry anymore than he needed.
Harry set, then he looked up at Draco with an inquisitive glance. "It's not painful, or anything that could damage me is it"? Harry asked with a slight shudder to his voice. He was uncomfortable with anyone placing a wand to his head, even Draco.
"Harry, I promise, you wont feel a thing. I will place the tip of my wand to your temple, incant the spell, and draw away the memories. All you have to do is think about them while I'm doing it. Just make sure you start remembering what happened at the point you want the memories to start from. You have seen others do this"? Draco asked.
"Er...Yea, I've watched Dumbledore and Snape do it. I've never done it before myself though. I would like you to teach me how if you would"? Harry replied with the last as a question.
Draco nodded and showed Harry how to perform the spell and what to do. He then placed his wand to Harry's head five times, and drew out five memories, placing each silvery thread into an empty and clean phial. "Now, that didn't hurt did it"?
"No, I didn't feel anything. Maybe we should dump each into the pensieve and make sure they are what we want"? Harry asked even though he dreaded reliving the experiences.
"Yes, we can do that after I remove the one about Umbridge wanting to cast the cruciatus curse on you". Draco replied as he did just that. He then withdrew the pensieve and cast a cleaning charm on it to make sure it was ready before he dumped the memories into it. He then turned to Harry and asked, "Ready"?
Harry nodded and stood up nervously beside Draco. Draco then placed the full pensieve on a table in front of them. They both took a deep breath and placed their face into the swirling silver that was not quite liquid, nor not quite gas. They stayed this way until the last memory ended, and both suddenly rose up from their bent-over position at the pensieve. Harry barely made it to the bed where he was shaking so much.
"I will see Umbridge and Fudge pay for all they have done to me. I will see that Voldermort, Pettigrew, Bellatrix, and every other death eater goes down one by one until I get my revenge. Snape and Dumbledore will also feel my wrath before it's all over. I have uses for them first, before I drop the bomb on them though. Dumbledore used me so it's my turn to use him. Snape has abused me ever since coming into this world, he is the very reason my parents are dead, helped contribute to Sirius's death, and caused every bit of hardship on me. He, I will not get even with, I will get one step ahead". Harry said shakily, and then collapsed against Draco who had set beside him.
Harry was now sobbing into Draco's shoulder, holding him tightly with both arms. Draco managed to lay him back, and then drew the duvet up over them both. Draco pulled Harry into him once he had lay back himself, wrapping his arms around him, and placing Harry's head on his shoulder. He silently rocked him back and forth, saying soothing words to Harry until he finally went to sleep. Draco looked up at the beamed ceiling for a little while, mulling over just how much Harry had went through in his short life. He made a promise then and there to himself that he would do all he could for Harry, and that he would never leave him for nothing or no one. At this, Draco closed his eyes and went to sleep, ready to wake for their next day.
Thanks again for all the reviews.
spikesbitch: Yes, they will be going to Hogwarts, but for how long I can't say.
Chapter 12: The plan comes together.
