Lentesco – Chapter Twelve

Lucius Malfoy appreciated pretty things, and Aidan Marshall was definitely that. Therefore, after the first evening (which both Severus and Lucius had been “otherwise engaged” during) the blond made it his business to befriend the gentle American and began wooing him into Lucius’ bed. So it was, that that morning he entered the common room immaculately dressed, hair brushed until it gleamed, and a false welcoming expression upon his face.

“Aidan,” he smiled, his voice a lazy drawl redolent with sex, “I’m sorry I didn’t meet you last night, but perhaps we can talk together now.”

“Sure,” the other smiled, his brown eyes a little wary, but he went willingly enough.

Lucius found he wanted to see more of that boy’s wariness. His cock throbbed with it.

Severus watched them go and sighed. He was leaning against a wall in a darkened corner of the common room, his back and ass aching. He had secretly lusted after the boy, and whilst with Lucius had been harder than normal, imaging the soft brown hair trickling through his fingers. He had been punished for his inattention, and now was unable to sit. He was annoyed, but not really surprised that Aidan had fallen for Lucius’ easy good looks, rather than try and befriend the odd looking boy in ill fitting robes.

“Have you a timetable yet?” Lucius asked, as he led Aidan out of the common room.

Severus didn’t hear the other’s reply, but what the blond had said made him think – what year was Aidan in? Surely he was younger than Lucius? Perhaps he was in Severus’ year? He felt his heart race, but quelled it when he realised of course the boy wouldn’t be in his year, he just didn’t have that kind of luck. Severus didn’t feel like breakfast and instead began to make his slow and painful way along the corridor to the Potions classroom, his first lesson of the day. Although he was intrigued by the Dark Arts, he loved Potions. There was nothing left to chance with a good potion. If you followed the instructions, and gave it your full attention incredible things could be created. Indeed, although only a fourth year, his teacher had suggested he begin looking at Advanced Potion making, and he had done so, making a number of alterations as he began to better understand the theory behind the liquids he created.

He reached the room and went in, going to his usual desk at the front. He was usually alone here, and so unpacked carefully, spreading out his equipment, checking each knife was sharp and clean, each ladle was shining, and that his cauldron had no hidden ingredients in it as he had had potions sabotaged in the past by cruel class mates coating his cauldron with dangerous fluids.

Severus closed his eyes and took in the wonderful smells around him. He felt calm and at peace here.

“H-hi,” a voice said. An American voice. An American voice that sounded like it was on the verge of laughing.

Severus’ eyes snapped open. “Yes?” he said in his iciest manner, then cursed himself.

“I really like potions,” Aidan offered as he settled onto the seat beside Severus, “but I haven’t my things with me. I guess the teacher’ll lend me some, huh?”

Snape nodded, feeling blood rush from his brain to his other brain. “I have some spare equipment.” He offered, and indicated the items he had two of.

“Oh, thanks.” Aidan said, that dazzling smile on his face once more. “I was worried I’d not be able to take part. Do you know what we’re making today, er, oh I’m sorry, I don’t even know your name!”

Sighing inwardly, (after all, he knew the gossip that would have been spread maliciously to this newcomer) he spoke, “Severus Snape.” He waited for the other to hide a laugh or back away, but Marshall did neither.

“Hiya, I guess you heard who I am. Pleased to meet ya.” Aidan stuck out a hand and Severus took it. They shook, Snape feeling a curious electricity flood through him.

“W – wow!” Aidan murmured, “Did you feel that too?”

Severus nodded, face flushed.

“Hmmm, I guess my stay here will be even pleasanter than I thought!” the American said, a suggestive look upon his face.

Severus remembered Lucius. “Shit! Sorry. I can’t. I’m already kind of … involved with someone else.”

“Sure?” Aidan asked, brown eyes liquid.

Severus shook his head. Whether he was refusing the lovely creature in front of him, or whether he was showing that he was willing to defy Lucuis, he honestly couldn’t have said. Aidan took it as the second way and leaned close and just gently kissed Severus.

“I’m glad I came here.” He said.
