Calming Love
Harry and Hermione snuggled together on the long red couch in the Gryffindor common room. He was finally sleeping and Hermione was relieved. She had taken him to see Severus and Lilly and Severus had given him a dreamless sleeping potion. He had added a few drops of calmavitirius to help ease his nerves as well. Lilly had cried when she learned how Harry felt. She didn\'t want him to be the cause of his guilt eating away at her, however, she was realistic enough to know that there wasn\'t much he could do about his choice at this point. Time turners were viciously guarded and the chances of Harry obtaining one again was slim to none. Not to mention, she was pretty sure that even if he went back a second time, there was no guarantee that things would go back exactly as they had been before his trip back in time the first time.
Harry finally agreed with his mother to leave things be. Severus had reminded him that even though people were dead now that weren\'t the first time, there were people alive now that had died before. There was no way to predict what life would bring and it was best not to dwell on it. He had told Harry to look to the future and forget about the past.
Hermione reached down and brushed his thick black locks away from his eyes and smiled. He was the most important part of her life and she couldn\'t imagine her life without him by her side. She cringed at the thought of being married to Ron. She loved him as a brother and nothing more. She felt a chill run up her back when she thought of kissing him. She couldn\'t think of anything that grossed her out more. Harry was definately meant for her, not Ron.
She chuckled to herself when she thought of Ginny. Harry said that they were engaged in the past. That was another odd couple. Ginny craved adventure and thrived on being the center of attention. Harry hated being in the lime light and would never have been happy with a wife like that. He wanted a quiet wife with a calm home and a few children. Living with Ginny would have over loaded his senses. She was definately better off with Malfoy. He would put her on a pedestal and make sure she never came off of it again. The two of them thrived on attention and together they would get it. Both of them had such volitile tempers and she looked forward to seeing which one of them would back down first. Their life would never be dull.
"Mione," Harry mumbled.
She leaned down and gently kissed his lips. "Yes, love?"
"Don\'t ever leave me," he whispered, clutching onto her hand.
"Never," she promised.
"You are mine forever," he vowed.
"Forever," she agreed.
